Since a month has passed from the release of The Witchwood, the meta has become more defined. The realisation of over-rated decks, looking at you Shudder Shaman, has paved way for potentially new meta defining & refined decks. However, there are still some archetypes that are, in my opinion, still under-rated, such as Control/Mind blast Priest.
Upon the arrival of the new season, Zetalot hit rank 1 legend on EU during his stream with a win streak of 17 wins in a row! Like most variation's of the archetype, the deck utilises the dragon package to allow it to control the board till the late game, where it can easily burst its opponent from full health thanks to Alexstrasza. What makes this variation more successful than others is the inclusion of Squashlings, which provides sustain & tempo, a great tool against aggressive decks.
I will write a guide if the deck receives a lot of interest. In the meantime, feel free to ask any questions in the comments' section :) If you liked the deck, an upvote would greatly be appreciated.
As usual, Kiwiinbacon has made a great video spotlighting the deck's potential, all the while explaining every play he makes. Make sure to watch the video, as it explains how the deck should be played. If you enjoyed the video, a like would be greatly appreciated & you can also subscribe to his channel for more awesome content!

I ran both in my initial list and I reached legend last season
Why Skullking Geist?
Good against taunt druid, warlock, inner fire priest, and rogues
I think it's mainly to deny the Dark Pacts. It's easier to kill Warlock when you remove 16 healing from their deck.
Why the Skulking Geist ? A silence would be a lot more useful surely
see above answer to same question.
Watched 3 streamers trying to use decks like this, and they were all getting creamed. If you only had 1600 dust and only needed Alex, do you think it would be worth it?
For me the deck isnt too bad, but its a bit draw dependent, I had so many games with horrific draws, where I could do nothing and lost by turn 5. If you dont draw weapon removal against Warlock, Duskbreaker against aggro or if your Anduin is in last 5 cards, you will have a difficult game.
Any reason why Chameleos didn't find any room in this deck? Could one Squashling or Scaleworm make room for him/her?
It's more than that... Chameleos let's you know what cards they're holding onto too. If you know your opponent has cards like equality, psychic scream, doomguard, etc. you can hold off on plays that are more valuable after they play them.
I trimmed an Acolyte and it works great.
He's a hero too.... Was looking real bad against control warlock when he cycled all his spells to get Azari, but my boy Chameleos turned into Azari and won the game for me.
Went 10-3 in this week's Tavern Brawl. Great list!
edit: second run was 12-2. Hit a lot of even paladins in both runs, easy matchup. My only card change was -1 Acolyte +1 Mass Dispel
-1 acolyte for +1 mass dispel is actually a really good change. I might try that too.
