Since a month has passed from the release of The Witchwood, the meta has become more defined. The realisation of over-rated decks, looking at you Shudder Shaman, has paved way for potentially new meta defining & refined decks. However, there are still some archetypes that are, in my opinion, still under-rated, such as Control/Mind blast Priest.
Upon the arrival of the new season, Zetalot hit rank 1 legend on EU during his stream with a win streak of 17 wins in a row! Like most variation's of the archetype, the deck utilises the dragon package to allow it to control the board till the late game, where it can easily burst its opponent from full health thanks to Alexstrasza. What makes this variation more successful than others is the inclusion of Squashlings, which provides sustain & tempo, a great tool against aggressive decks.
I will write a guide if the deck receives a lot of interest. In the meantime, feel free to ask any questions in the comments' section :) If you liked the deck, an upvote would greatly be appreciated.
As usual, Kiwiinbacon has made a great video spotlighting the deck's potential, all the while explaining every play he makes. Make sure to watch the video, as it explains how the deck should be played. If you enjoyed the video, a like would be greatly appreciated & you can also subscribe to his channel for more awesome content!

This deck is insanely good. I have never felt such satisfaction from playing a deck since Secret Paladin. It feels like you always have an ace up your sleeve.
Played a couple of games so far and this deck goes well.
The only thing I would question is if it is worth it to have 2x Wild Pyromancer .
I think 1 should do the job, as you are not that high in spells.
It fun to play Alexstrasza after Shadowreaper Anduin , to finish it off with hero powers and 2x Mind Blast
One question though. What to do vs odd warrior?
They build up armor so fast, you can't stop it.
Plan for a game that goes into fatigue. Save Alex for the end, limit your draws from Acolyte, and get into Shadowreaper Anduin ASAP so you can keep their armor low/gone.
I do believe the 2x Pyro is good. Not just for clearing Paladin boards, but also because you need some aggressive creatures if you want to win against Quest Rogue.
I guess it's a pretty much unwinnable matchup.
what would make a good replacement for 2x psychic screams? i have everything else and i just don't quite have the dust to craft the psychic screams yet
It's not replaceable in this case.
Your goal is to stall as long as you can, to do you combo's the turns after with Shadowreaper, Alexstrasza and the mind blasts.
The psychic screams work perfectly for this.
Can I put Chameleos in? What can I replace?
I would probably trade with one Wild Pyromancer, it will remove some board presence/control, but allows for some valuable info and should help a lot more in control matchups.
First off, thanks for sharing your deck and taking the time. Not sure why people actually take time out of their day to bad mouth others who just wanna share their insights and decks. Grow up nerds. Anyway, I am an avid priest player and deck looks interesting. I will be adding some silence in there to counter warlock. Oh and I also added Lady in White to bulk up all the Drakes. Bout to give it a go. Cheers!
Lady in White has anti synergy with twilight drake so you would probably want to replace those
Yeah I quickly realized that after playing a round. Took her right back out! Hahaha. Was a palm to the face to be sure.
Fuck you Jes, that will not help me get to Legend...
Just another metacall deck, it's really good against all the aggro in the upper meta but horrible at laddering, given you are facing cubelocks all day.
Can you share a list ?
I'm trying to improve the cube/control warlock matchup.
Against Quest Rogue you have to get aggressive from the start. I'm 3-2 against them right now with this deck. Drop those Wild Pyro and Squashlings on curve and race them. Baku Warrior you're in for the long game. Prepare for it to go to fatigue and plan accordingly. 5-1 against Baku Warrior.
Zeta adapts deck a lot to the meta during playing . And he has 25 000+ games with priest. Don’t forget it. ^.^
That’s one hell of a winrate! Just remember kids, it’s Zetalot, no one reading this will have this success with the deck. Always consider this when saying a deck is trash because you can’t win with it.
I dont have anduin or harrison, im sure they are probably the most important pieces to the deck. Any suggestions for subs?
