Well met!

It was a while since I was active on hearthpwn, but I am already done climbing for this season. I am way too low for even trying to Top 100 Rush thus I can chill for a while. And what's better chill than actual deckbuilding? Well, here we go.

Deck archetype

Recent expansion card Bellringer Sentry has singlehandedly made secret paladin viable option once again. It is rare so it didn't take me long to realize what F2P deck I want to do this time. Not really F2P friendly paladin's auto-include cards Call to Arms and Sunkeeper Tarim made a little gap both in curve and deck steam, so I decided to fill it up with Silver Hand Recruit package as Hero Power is always available for you.

Unpopular decisions

Why only one Divine Favor / Spellbreaker? These cards are almost useless against aggresive decks, which are, as always, the most dominant in meta. You have to accept the fact that you are underdog in Control matchup. With or without them.

Why no Argent Squire / Dire Wolf Alpha? These cards are in paladin decks only because of Call to Arms. We have many more better options in their slots.

What do we keep in opening hand?

Lost in the Jungle - If we don't have 1-drop or if we have Knife Juggler
Noble Sacrifice - If we have Secretkeeper
Redemption - If we have Secretkeeper
Repentance - Never
Righteous Protector - Always
Secretkeeper - Always
Drygulch Jailor - If we don't have another 2-drop and we have any 1-drop
Hydrologist - If we have any 1-drop or coin
Knife Juggler - If we have Righteous Protector
Divine Favor - Never
Unidentified Maul - If we have decent turn 1 and either turn 2 play or coin
Bellringer Sentry - If we have decent turn 1 play and turn 2 play and coin
Blessing of Kings - Never if you are not experienced player. If you are, you will realize yourself when to keep it
Lightfused Stegodon - If we have Lost in the Jungle and Righteous Protector and coin
Spellbreaker - Never (I can see a lot of people keep it against Warlocks. Don't do it! If you can't deal a lot of damage early, Spellbreaker wouldn't help you eitherway)
Fungalmancer - Never
Crystal Lion - You can keep it against Control decks if you have Lost in the Jungle and Righteous Protector
Vinecleaver - Never

Upgrades

+2 Call to Arms -1 Fungalmancer -1 Lightfused Stegodon
+1 Sunkeeper Tarim -1 Crystal Lion

Obviously ask me about other expensive cards you have in comments below and I will update this section if it is healthy for deck.

I just recently decided to make a Twitter account, guys, so feel free to be my first followers and make me happy ^^ @Kasai_HS. I will post decklists there over time. Mostly those I will use for tournaments, but you will find there some F2P or meme ones now and then. YouTube channel and hopefully Twitch stream will follow up so stay tuned!

Cheers!
