Latest iteration of a control dragon shaman I've been playing this xpac. The most fun I've had with shaman in awhile, try it out!
Update: took out the shudds, he was underperforming. Added a swamp dragon egg because it iS a GoOD CARD. And silence and board clear
Now I know what you're thinking, "Rickenback, why would I play Shaman? it's 2018. It's a dead meme"
And to that I say there are no dead memes. It is Wednesday my du
Here's the game plan.
Draw into some tempo. Fire Fly and Flametongue Totem
If you're up against something aggressive like Hunter you'll want yourself a Lightning Storm, your spellbreaker can give you sum much needed tech too. If you're feeling saucy you switch it for a mctech. I'm not very saucy. Spaghetti with just butter and cheese if you feel me.
Up against control cycle is your friend. Mana Tide Totem is your friend.
In any case you want to use your control tools like Volcano, and Wyrmguard to outlast until Hagatha the Witch . Hagatha is your waifu this expansion and you will respect her tsundere ways.
Now let's talk about what's on everyone's mind.
Swamp Dragon Egg is a good card. With Flametounge. Or your 5 drop dragon. You can replace your Bloodmage Thalnos with a third Swamp Dragon, because all of the bad dragons rotated out last expansion. Seriously you wouldn't believe how often I pull Emeriss and Onyxia
Conclusion
With this deck I can guarantee a winrate up to rank 18. If you are looking to climb all the way to legend (or even like rank 17) I will feature your stream VOD. As seen below with SerJonSnow's video. thanks Jonny Snow, I'm glad there are bastards like you out there
If you came here looking to win games you should stop playing Shaman. Unless you own exclusively Shaman cards like me.
This deck has garnered a lot of unnecessary attention so I'll post my legend (rank 19 2-stars) ready freeze shaman in the next few days
please message me pictures of cats to feature in this (and the next) deck list
Just lost to a basic hunter, but yeah its a fun deck
(and the only one i can afford to put my hagatha)
4:7 with this "awesome" deck...
"I guarantee you winrate"....
sure. downvoting it.
what its the final version of this deck? the original list or the list in the video?? i want to play this deck luck pretty fun :P
I made a couple of changes to the deck in my video. I've found that Shudderwock has saved a lot of games I've played, so I chose to keep him in.
Hey I made a video on the deck! It's pretty much all I've been playing recently actually.
Ive been playing this for the last two days and Its a very fun deck currently 5-2 from rank 19 to 17 start of the new season. I took out the Blood Knight for another Hot Spring Guardian. If you play this as a tempo in the early game then a control deck late game and just keep board control and wait it out you have a massive advantage in the late game / fatigue with Hagatha. I have actually found shudderwock useful in this phase with the extra Fire Flys for spell generation and doubling from Saronite then gaining taunt from Wyrmguard. Every game Ive gotten at least two ancestral spirits and you start slapping those on shutterwock taunts or wyrmguards. I want to fit a second Healing Rain though because playing the deck in this style healing is king.
I really believe no Shudderwock deck should have firefly. You’re adding a battlecry that adds a card to your hand which is want you don’t want
Extra spell from hagatha though
I agree. I tried this deck and feel that it is blending the two good concepts and comes out not furnished. It would be better to focus on one vs the other. Shudderwock is single handedly the dirtiest card to be published in a while, and I love playing it. But putting it into this deck doesn't have much use. It's too expensive to just play arbitrarily turn 9+.
If it's sole purpose is to refill your hand with things to help fuel Hagatha the Witch, there are better options that cost less. Just my opinion though. Not to mention, if you happen to have all the battlecry minions played in your deck to give it all the fuel for it's own battlecry, by 9+ your opponent should have an answer to whatever you pulled out.
I’ve had some really close games with T1 decks (Odd Paladin, Taunt Druid, Cubelock) and even though I lost most, it was really fun. I should note I only lost by 2-3 HP, so a little luck would have won me the games. It is a wonderfully fun and fairly strong deck. Well done!
Haven’t won much with the deck, but yes, it is fun to play.
Replacement for Morgl?
Thrall
Ben Brode
Ben No One Cares
Cool picture! But boo for not including him in the actual deck! :))
I came for the dragons, i stayed for the Comic Sans.
