UPDATE: I FINISHED #1 ON ASIA THIS SEASON, SECURED IT IN THE LAST MINUTE, LITERALLY, WITH THE NEW UPDATED LIST.
General guide:
Keep (in order of priority): Totem Golem (coin out with the coin usually then you can totem up next turn), Murkspark Eel (very good against enemies' early 2 drops), Flametongue Totem (almost always have a target turn 1), Thing From Below (you get it for very cheap this most often), Jade Claws (if you suspect you will be on the backfoot), Dire Wolf Alpha (weaker Flametongue and die easier), Knife Juggler.
Situational Keep: Devolve, Spellbreaker (good keep vs Warlock, Druid and Priest for their minions and Scarabs, but keep only 1).
Maelstrom Portal (keep against Paladin, try to get as much value as you can out of it for powerful swing, not worth it just to kill 2-3 minions unless you have good minions to follow up).
Sea Giant (keep 1 against Paladin, Shaman if good curve, if extremely good curve keep 1 against control).
Flamewreathed Faceless (keep both vs Druid, keep 1 vs Control).
Matchups:
Druid (slightly favoured): if you got strong minion pressure and a good Devolve turn then you should win this easily - Druids can't deal with multiple big hitters consecutively. Try to drop your big boys WITH a number of small stuffs to neutralize their Poison Seeds, don't play more than 4 small minions unless necessary to not play into Plague.
Hunter (slightly favoured): This deck can get burned out by Baku Hunter but you generally can stabilize pretty quickly. Just try to avoid face damage, play around Unleash the Hounds when you have a good board that could win within 2 turns.
Mage (favoured): this deck is not much different from Paladin - get on board very quickly and can play a wide board that is hard for Mages to deal with.
Paladin (favoured): Maelstrom Portal AND Healing Totem are your friends. A turn 1 Totem into Wolf/Flametongue completely shuts down their early game, while Thing from Below and Sea Giant create immense board swings.
Priest (slightly favoured): This deck is fast enough to pressure Big Priest. A right mix of wide board and big dudes will get you far. Nothing you can do about a Barnes into Statue turn 4 though (if that happens, silence/devolve the 1/1 and go face. If he can't kill the Statue, he can't resurrect it).
Rogue (favoured): I have no idea how I went 7-0, but it seems Rogue having to leverage their hero power and sacrificing their HP really helped. They get themselves into lethal range trying to fight for board very often.
Shaman (even): Most Shamans you see are Even Shaman (it's my fault sorry). Value trades and board swings with your big cards will help. Try to Devolve juicy targets like Flamewreathed Faceless. If it's Shudderwock, enjoy your free win.
Warlock (slightly unfavoured): Devolve and Spellbreaker helps. Try to play big dudes early, your opponent usually can't go for a Naga turn if they feel their life total is threatened by a big board. They have no answers for a Faceless/Sea Giant turn 4.
Paladin absolutely destroys this deck... I played a sample of 15 games, 12 against paladin (LUL) and lost 10x against them. You just can't win this consistently. (Legend player every month for those who want to say get good)
i hit Legend every month too and this deck destroy Paladin, in 2 of the 3 games that i lost against paladin didn't draw Maelstrom and the other one was really close, so you're probably doing something wrong, i always try to save Maelstrom unless there's no other way to clear the board, if you're wasting Maelstrom early you're pretty much done against paladin, i always hard mulligan for Claws, Maesltrom, Eel, Devolve to gain control of the board in the early turns.
i was a bit bored of standard and needed some wins to get the golden shaman portrait, didn't want to craft wild cards so i just modified this build here's the final deck that i used from r6 to legend
i had a lot of fun using this deck, it was a blast, too bad i can't upvote this deck more times, if i craft something, Crackles are first priority because in a lot of games the extra reach is really needed, i used 2 Hexes to have a chance against BIG priest which was my only bad matchup in the whole run.
hey dude, i like ur deck very much and im willing to try it. but i have one question, what about card draw?
u never run out of cards?
Very solid deck! Won 13 games in a row and currently have 15 wins and 2 losses. The only deck I keep losing to is dragon priest :P. Anyone have any tips for versing dragon priest with this deck?
Sure, I'll believe a random over the professional. Seems legit.
I think it worked for almost everyone...
Awesome deck. Currently at 10 wins and 1 loss and climbing hard, which at my lowly rank is exactly what I need. Thanks for the deck. I went -1 Shredder and + 1 Saronite Chain Gang. Also haven't got a 2nd Sea Giant so went for a Skulking Geist. All working well.
I've been playing a very similar deck using Draenei Totemcarver and getting great results. I'm not a legend player, but being able to drop a 6/6 or 7/7 Totemcarver on 4, followed by other big threats clinched a lot of games.
Wow, i'm very surprised with this deck! I missed to play Shaman for a long time but now i can relax and play with my favorite class. Thanks a lot for this deck! I will try to hit legend with it too.
Who am I to question RenoJackson, but Saronite Chain Gang always seemed to me better than Piloted Shredder in tempo decks, even in Wild. Absolutely better against aggro, no discussion about that. But also other synergies here: an additional minion for sea giant, double knives with Juggler, double minion to squeeze a wolf or a flametongue inbetween...
So, why Shredder? Maybe to give the deck a "Wilder" face?
I'd have to agree - I've been thinking of a different 4-drop than the shredders also. I was thinking a Draenei Totemcarver, but I think the Saronite Chain Gang fits better
Interesting. The reason I never included Chain Gang was because I never thought of it. Shredder is more resilient against board clears, gives you a token to buff up.
It’s a good reason. Shredder is so much better againt Hellfire but CubeLock is not that common (as in std). I guess I’ll stick with chain gang for a while and see how it goes
Went 58-32 (64%) to legend. Worked well, a lot of losses were to Big Priests and Naga Sea Witch Giant decks. Thank you!

Thanks for posting this - always good to see how many games it takes to get to legend!
Thank you very much for this deck. First time hitting legend and I am glad to do it with Shaman, my favorite hero.
against paladin this deck is weak, too weak. Thats what he said CHAT
