Mulligan Guide: Archaedas isn't all that bad as long as you can keep up and manage all of his Earthen Statue. For your mulligan it's best to start with a two-drop or he may get ahead too quickly to catch up to him. Ideally, you want to have several Poisonous minions at the ready. The faster you can get them on the board, the easier it is to manage the encounter.
It's not uncommon for him to drop a Animate Earthen on the second or third turn to try and roll over you. If you can't do anything about it, you've probably lost the game because he'll blow everything up with Shattering Spree afterwards.
Your goal is to eventually fill up your entire side of the board with your own minions so you no longer have to worry about taking massive damage from Shattering Spree. Once you have the board it's just a matter of maintaining your control and slowly wearing him down. He has a ton of card draw and Armor gain, so settle in, it could take awhile.
The AI for Archaedas isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and if you have control of the board he will try and kill your largest minion. He will often target minions with Divine Shield, so it does absolutely nothing to help him. I've also seen him use Shattering Spree to kill one of your Earthen Statue, which destroys the minion he was trying to kill anyway. You would think he would at least target something else, but he's obviously a slow learner. His stupidity will at least keep you entertained until you kill him.
There are certainly substitutions that you could make with additional buffs, weapons, or minions, like Raid Leader or Ironbeak Owl. This build is pretty flexible in what you can change, while still being successful. If you'd like to see some other decks to try against him just check out the links below.
