Hey guys! I've been doing very well on ladder with this elemental shaman build that I've used to climb from Rank 5 to Legend Rank. For some reason I haven't seen many popular streamers or legend players using this deck so I wanted to share.
Unfortunately I don't have any deck stats since I have mostly been playing on mobile...
Why should you play this deck?
- It has favored match-ups against Cube Warlocks, Aggro Paladins, AND Spiteful Druids! (YES, REALLY!)
- It is fun to play, especially when you get to go off with a bunch of spells from Hagatha or semi-infinite combo your Shudderwock!
- If you want to be mean and troll your opponent with infinite Shudderwocks, YOU CAN!
Game Plan vs Aggro:
- Control their aggresion with cheap elementals and a ton of taunts
- Continue to stall and clear their board in the mid game with board clears and taunts
- Out-race them if you have won the board OR stall until you can hit a big swing card (i.e. Kalimos, Hagatha, or Shudderwock)
Game Plan vs Control:
- GO FACE with all of your elementals - buffing them with Earthen Might is ideal
- Continue to put threats on the board to put your opponent on the back foot
- HEX all of their key minions (i.e. Doomguard against Warlock, any big taunt against Hadranox Druid)
- Eventually overwhelm your opponent with Hagatha spells or Shudderwock shenanigans
Key Points:
- Unless you are trying to go infinite, it is often a good option to play Shudderwock as early as turn 9 or 10. The deck is built to make him a fantastic defensive tool as long as you get your elemental triggers
- Remember that Hagatha's battlecry is repeated by Shudderwock! Can be very useful for stomping aggro and often means you can play Hagatha on curve without wasting her effect
- Mulligan aggressively for Fireflies, Earthen Might, 3 mana taunts, board clears, and (when applicable) Hexes
- REMEMBER ELEMENTAL TRIGGERS - always be planning 1 or 2 turns ahead
Hope you guys enjoy the deck! I will write a more in-depth guide if it continues to do well.
Just had the best game ever with a slight variation of this deck, my opponent stole Hagatha the Witch while having a Spectral Cutlass out, followed by insane Tess Greymane and shudderwork shenanigans!

Anyway, I absolutely love this deck, though it is a bit of a pain to keep track of what battlecries have been played (and Shudderwock needs to glow or something when his elemental battlecries are triggered).
I've not found the draw from Acolyte of Pain to be particularly helpful, I tried running Lifedrinker for healing and potential Shudderwock burst, but now I'm thinking Blazing Invocation might be better? It can nab some very powerful battecries, increasing your combo potential or helping dominate the board. Also shouldn't it be possible to find more Shudderwocks with it, I haven't seen any yet... What do you guys think?
What do you guys think about those bugdet friendly swaps?
a) 1x Tol'vir for bloodlust
b) 1x Glacial shard for healing rain
c) 1x Acolite of pain for mana tide totem
a) I had several games so far and in early game I clearly had the board under control with at least 5 minions on. I figured out bloodlus may be sometimes win condition (so far in one game was) and great power boost if you need to clear the board
b) It increases your durability and helps keep the board alive
c) Initially I did it just for fun, but I notied that most people has reaction like "Oh damn, what an ugly totem, Kill it with fire!". In worst scenario it has the same card draw potential and almost works like a taunt minion :)
Let me know what you think :)
scroll down and see suggestions from RockIngersol. It works much better with what he tried. Also i think mana tides are overall superior to acolyte with shaman class.
Its a fun deck although sometimes the grumble battlycry screw me over when i use shudder in late game
Try play with Zola the Gorgon
love the deck and hagatha, but one thing i hate from the deck iiiiis.... Shudderwock. Not the effect, but the animation like, it took the fun out of me lol. Hope the animation fix patch came soon
Anyway, solid shaman deck! Really struggle againts cubelocks tho
Enjoyable! I'm not sure how competitive it is as I *just* picked this up. Made a minor modification to get a Servant of Kalimos in there. I like its value.
Outlasts some long control decks. Especially if you can get Hagatha the Witch down fairly early to maximize the resources you get from her.

Edit, a few days later after doing some playing:
Went -1 Tar Creeper, -1 Tol'vir Stoneshaper, +2 Servant of Kalimos. Provides even more resource generation across the mid-game which can toolbox to whatever you need, be it those taunts that they replaced, stronger offensive tools like Blazecaller or even a hilariously free Grumble, Worldshaker or Kalimos, Primal Lord. I like the value change. I also found that I was a little glutted on early game taunts, so this solves that problem.
2nd game. The pressure this deck is putting out is tremendous!

First game with the deck. Simply amazing!

man this deck is very satisfying to play, I'm currently in a winning streak with it, being able to beat even tryharders like control warlock and taunt druid (with a mix of luck and skill, maybe)... and in most of these games I didn't even had to rely on the shudderwock or hagatha..
i just exchanged the 2 earthen mighties, the ooze, one colbalt and one tol'vir with one more volcano, a kaleseth and 2 servants of khalimos (since from them you can very frequently get another grumble or a kalimos, wich are essencial)
I lost 9 out of 10 games with this deck, I was rank 4, am now rank 5 no stars. Only beat Mage when I took Jaina to fatigue. I lost to taunt warrior, even Paladin, quest shaman, all sorts of decks. Just didn’t have the killer blow required to put them away.
I’ll keep playing with the deck, but it’s not looking great.
Aggro Paladins, maybe. Cube lock and Spiteful Druids, not really.
I'll try it later, my comment is like a tactical dot.
Wax elemental for stalling looks interesting
I put in the Prince Keleseth and cut 1 Tol'vir Stoneshaper for 2 Servant of Kalimos and have been absolutely on fire with this deck. I went from rank 18-11 without losing a game. I lost 1 game against odd pally and I'm back on the winning streak. This deck has game against everyone, and Hagatha is the absolute truth. Do not even consider cutting any of the sweepers they are absolutely essential. Volcano especially, as that card is directly responsible for almost every single one of my wins against paladin. Volcano sweeps through divine shield. That's a huge thing.
Did you replace both Earthen might and what did you put besides Keleseth? Cause the idea sounds great!
I dropped both Earthen Might and 1 Tol'vir Stoneshaper for Prince Kelesethand 2 Servant of Kalimos. Stoneshaper is a good card, but sometimes can clunk up the elemental chain. And there's already a ton of taunt between the Hot Spring Guardians, Tar Creepers, and Saronite Chain Gangs. I also dropped the Acidic Swamp Ooze for a second Blazecaller, but that's just because I wasn't facing much Cubelock, and when I did, I found I didn't even need it.
The deck is a straight control deck. Don't let the elemental curve or the Shudderwock fool you into thinking you're aggro or combo. This is control. I use every creature and spell I have to control the board until I can turn the game over to Hagatha the Witch. I've won by taking Odd Paladin to fatigue at 30 life, and I've had CubeLock concede to my 5th Hex.
This is exactly what I like, complete and thorough answer! :D Thanks, bro!
