UPDATE 11/04/2014: -1 Violet Teacher, +1 Conceal
UPDATE 10/21/2014: Mickin is now #3 NA after taking over a week off from playing. He is back to streaming every night and has made some changes to his deck: -1 Acidic Swamp Ooze, -1 Ironbeak Owl, +1 SI:7 Agent, +1 Violet Teacher
This is the deck Mickin used to achieve #1 NA in this season as of Oct. 8th @10:30pm EDT. All credit for this deck goes to him!!!
Check out his stream: http://www.twitch.tv/mickinx
He is very informative, and a hell of a player. One of the best streams out there imo. He streams around 9-10 EDT late into the night!!!
Miracle is dead, right? Kappa
Mickin and he is sick right now (hasn't streamed in a few days). He's BACK!
An upvote would be appreciated if you enjoy the deck! I will try to answer any questions you have about the deck and its playstyle!
Thanks all!!!
is there anything i could run instead of loatheb like black knight or leeroy ecs
Do you have a guide out for this deck yet?
My best guide would be to watch Mickin's stream, sorry. Although I consider myself to be a pretty good miracle player, I'm nowhere near Mickin's level. He also does a ton of coaching. Check him out: http://www.twitch.tv/mickinx
Updated it :) ... yeah i was wondering about Faceless Manipulator, pretty good idea, but this is working out really well for me right now lol...but that 20 dmg combo tho...
Isn't Faceless Manipulator better than Violet Teacher in this deck?! Violet will die next turn anyway if it's vs. Control.
He is already running Southsea Deckhand so... The Deckhand + 2xCold Blood + Faceless Manipulator that's 20 damage on turn 8.
Also, Faceless Manipulator might help a little bit against the Handlock if he played his Mountain Giant on turn 4 so you can coin + Faceless (assuming you're second), or if he already used Siphon Soul so you already know that yours is safe.
Atm, I run mickin's deck but without a southsea deckhand and replaced it with a farseer since there was an increase in hunter matchups, so it's 1 card different from the deck. I used to run deckhand but the effect of deckhand was merely for 1 turn , whereas violet teacher can make up multiple tokens to fill the board and last awhile if the other guy can't get rid of them. This causes the bait of removal since the other player is overwhelmed with your full board and can prevent your auctioneer from dying or so. The tokens can also be used for clear when you buff them with cold blood to get through taunts or just for that extra 1 or 2 damage you lack from not having spell power and allows you to hit their face. The tokens usually live after the other guy focuses on clearing your teacher and violet teacher synergizes with the deck more considering that it's made up of 18 spells and is more versatile than faceless manipulator. The theory of your deckhand combo sounds good for 20 damage on turn 8, but it's highly specific and over the course of the game, you don't know what your opponent will do every match. Spending 5 mana in 1 turn for a miracle rogue is quite a lot when you could draw into lethal or just remove their board for one turn so you can finish them off. For control, they usually heal or amor up a lot along with taunts, so doing the combo isn't always possible. With the teacher, you have another way of winning by dealing steady damage before you set up burst damage with auctioneer.
I said I don't have deckhand and replaced him for the farseer because the guy who posted before referred to deckhand in the deck but I don't use it. The purpose of deckhand was for trap proc or removal but the farseer heal is favored because the teacher can give you tokens that do the same thing - that's why I exchanged those two cards. You talked about deckhand as an anti-trap minion, but the tokens you can have/make can last longer than 1 turn and I said "This causes the bait of removal since the other player is overwhelmed with your full board and can prevent your auctioneer from dying or so." Traps are removal and the tokens basically do what the deckhand does - I even said it in my post below. You interpreted my reply entirely wrong.
Faceless a big minion then sapping it is also a good play
To be honest, I'm still using Southsea Deckhand instead of the old variation with Violet Teacher. And I became so sure of my choice after watching this game on his vod.
http://www.twitch.tv/mickinx/b/585119231 ... Start watching from 01:15:00 and watch his epic game vs Hunter. Southsea Deckhand wasn't really needed as he could've done it with weapon and flurry but you'll get my point.
Still not sure about Faceless Manipulator. In theory, it should work, but the only issue I would face if I played him is, drawing him out when you actually need a spell to keep your auctioneer going.
Props to Mickin. Got to legend with this deck in about a week and a half, and I've always liked miracle rogue but the leroy nerfs made finding a new deck kinda hard. From experience, the violet teacher tokens are actually useful for the extra bit of damage for board clear and proccing hunter traps. The deck takes awhile to learn but once you get used to it , it feels pretty fair against most match ups.
Just hit rank 3 currently 8-1 with this deck
Watching Mickin play this deck is like watching Wayne Gretzky play hockey, Michael Jordan play basketball or Muhammad Ali box. Holy damn he is good with it.
This deck is veryyy legit, you just need to know when to sub out certain tech cards depending on the match-up's your getting most of during 'x' timeframe laddering. Mickin is a very good player :D
Yeah Mickin is great. I can't wait until he starts to feel better and streams again!
Would it be a bad idea to sub out an ooze for a defias? I see barely anyone run them but whenever I play I feel like I have barely any board presence and grabbing up another minion for free that can help trade seems really good.
The ooze is obviously good against warrior, rogue and hunters but defias still seems so good. Any advice?
It's a meta call. Depends on what you are facing. If you are not playing against any rogue, hunter or warrior then it would be a good idea to switch out the Acidic Swamp Ooze. I don't know what card would be a good replacement, but you can try Defias Ringleader and see how it works out. Remember that miracle rogue is not a board control deck in the sense of having a board presence. You want to use early removal to keep board clean until you can Gadgetzan Auctioneer draw your deck and win the game through combos. Personally I'd remove Ironbeak Owl or a Sap before Acidic Swamp Ooze because I see way to much hunter, and it destroys their tempo. Hope this helps!
Try to mulligan for Azure Drake and Gadgetzan Auctioneer and when you get your Edwin VanCleef make him a 4/4 if you can...hope that helps!
Priest is one of the few classes you get excited to face.
Like HS_TheKiD said, Keep your Azure Drake and Gadgetzan Auctioneer at your starting hand, same with Edwin VanCleef being 4/4.
Get rid of Northshire Cleric as soon as possible before the Priest can do some shenanigans when he combines it with Wild Pyromancer + any spell or Injured Blademaster + Circle of Healing and draw tons of cards.
If you suspect that the Priest has the annoying Injured Blademaster + Circle of Healing combo, keep a Sap in your starting hand, and when you're starting to draw cards with Gadgetzan Auctioneer, try to get Conceal as soon as possible because, unless he has Loatheb or the infamous [card]Auchenai Soulpriest[/card] + Circle of Healing combo, it's game over.
well watching someones stream then playing and beating them isn't something i would brag about...
I don't think he meant that he was ghosting, just pointing out that it was forsen lol, and that this deck beats high tier players.
