This deck is performing incredibly right now. It is perfect forms well against all archetypes, mainly due to the busted aggressive capabilities of Call To Arms, the combo ending potential of Dirty Rat and the wide array of late game Paladin powerhouses, topping off with N’Zoth or Deathwing. Azalni is there to destroy any control decks, which Control Paladin use to struggle with. The deck has a high learning curve, but once mastered this deck can defeat almost anything.
Im currently 18-1, only losing one game to a mill rogue. Give the deck a try and comment!
UPDATE: I removed Deathwing for Millhouse Manastorm. This may seem like a meme, but in reality you are far more likely to summon Millhouse from CTA then actually draw him.
If you are struggling against Aggro I would cut Azalani for Primordial Drake. Another possibility to improve the deck is to replace Azalani with the Lich King, but where is the fun in that?
i like control paladin very much ... but .... only missing Sunkeeper Tarim and both Call to Arms :( any suggestions?
Those are the 3 best cards in the deck. Call to arms is mandatory, nothing can replace it. It is a staple in all Paladin decks (besides odd pally). Just bite the bullet and craft 2 call to arms. Tarim can either be replaced by Keeper of Uldman, Primordial Drake or Valynar. Personally I would recommend crafting Tarim since he is the best legendary in the game
ok thank u men ;)
Love this deck! Question: how would you deal with Druid's Togwaggle + Azalina combo? Like you can't get your deck back...
I haven’t seen that deck, but you can Dirty Rat out the Togwaggle or Azalani, or rush them down and kill them before they pull off a very slow combo. Or you could Azalani their hand?
Made some variations for myself. Of course the first game i played was against a mill rogue... but, it held up and did win. I like the deck alot. Lots of good control. +1 from me :)
