The Clockwork Automaton works exactly as Prophet Velen workes but only for the hero power, instead it has greater potential for the cost and that you can have 2 in your deck make it more reason to build a deck for the card and obvious it is a neutral card while Prophet Velen is priest only minion.

The greatness with double the damage is if you have 2 your damage become double twise in my deck without Clockwork Automaton any I do 3 damage from my skill with 1, 6 and 2, 12 and with 7 it make 384 damage with the skill, real nice now when Ice Block is a wild card, I belive none can servive that damage...

but only 4 give 48 damage and is not that hard to gain, if I can wait until I have 10 energy I can play Clockwork Automaton then cube him with Carnivorous Cube. The next turn after Clockwork Automaton is  cubed, if Carnivorous Cube had not become silenced I can use Play Dead and/or Terrorscale Stalker on the Carnivorous Cube and hopefully also attack and kill the Carnivorous Cube before I press the skill button to win the fight!

But Rotten Applebaum can be great to cube also...
