Hi, everyone! My name is Cheelmind and I am a casual HS player from Russia who hit legend 5 times in a last 6 month
As the new expansion the Witchwood is arriving shortly I am going to try out a lot of new decks and post the ones I like and that are really competitive on ladder (with gameplay videos) so other people can achieve the legend rank too.
Here is the Witchwood Exodia Shaman deck I came up with and going to try in as one of the first decks in new expansion.
If you like this deck please up vote, your support is really appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.
If you meet too many Hero power Hunters and Paladins put two copies of Mindbreaker instead of Feral Spirit or Lone Champion
Edit 17.04.2018 added 2 Tar Creeper instead of Feral Spirit to get a more consistant draw out of Sandbinder
Gameplay
Odd aggro Paladin
Odd Aggro paladin second match
Mirror match
Vs Big spell Dragon priest Mirror match
Vs Big spell Dragon priest second try
Vs Control Demon Warlock
Vs Odd Quest Warrior
Vs Spell steal Priest
This deck has 3 new cards from The Witchwood expansion.
Shudderwock which is absolutle insane core card and the whole point of this deck.
Sandbinder allows you to draw your essential combo pieces - Grumble, Worldshaker and Murmuring Elemental. We have only 2 elemental in the deck so you have100% chance to draw them with Sandbinder.
If you often find yourself in the position when Sandbinder does not draw at all in the beginning of the game then you can consider replacing Brrrloc with Glacial Shard.
Lifedrinker this is another essential combo card in order to make OTK.
Combo
The Combo is very well knowen already :). You need to play during the game atleast one Lifedrinker, Saronite Chain Gang, Grumble, Worldshaker and Murmuring Elemental. After that you just need to play Shudderwock and repeat until you win :). (Animation will take quite a while)
General game plan:
In the beginning you just need to play a defensive game and draw as many cards as possible with your 9 draw cards. Then just assemble the Combo piceace and finish the game. Sound quite simple, right ? :)
General Mulligan :
Vs aggro/tempo keep Glacial Shard, Doomsayer, Lone Champion, Lightning Storm, Healing Rain, Saronite Chain Gang
Vs control Loot Hoarder, Mana Tide Totem, Bloodmage Thalnos, can keep Saronite Chain Gang Lone Champion to protect Mana Tide Totem. You can also consided keeping Shudderwock.
Your can change Lone Champion with Feral Spirit is you like them better
I hope you will give this deck a try.
Will be glad to get any feedback on how this deck is doing.
Best regards and have fun in the WitchWood :)
The most fun i had in hearthstone for ages. Very good and fun deck. Struggles a bit vs aggro but once you have the combo is just hillarious :D
PS: I created an account just to comment and upvote this deck. Good job on this one mate!
Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it )
Blizzard mentioned fixing long animations. Otherwise it is not worse than Quest Mage. And yes, to survive long enough against Aggro/Tempo decks requires a combination of skill and luck.
Agreed
this deck will broke the meta, absolute Nerf needed.
It is really strong against control but struggles a bit against heavy aggro decks. Thanks for the comment :)
