Hi Hearthstoner!
I'm DeLuk, an Hearthstone player since 2015, during this years i've played a lot of decks, but my favorite class always remains the warrior ( Garrosh <3). I've made legend many times with the Old Control Warrior with Ysera, Grommash, Alexstrasza and the others bosses, so I've tried to make great again garrosh with this brand new list. We are the GoldRoom the most important group of Hearthstoner on Twitch, don't forget to sustain our crusade:
GOLDROOM <-------- LINK
At te beginning of the cards reveal, when i saw Baku the Mooneater, my mind immediately thinks about him in a Control Warrior. So I started to try to fit him in a Warrior deck, but always I wasn't able to make a deck with a concrete wincondition against the majority of the others decks. Finally they revealed the Blackwald Pixie and I said:" Why not to do 16 damage in one turn with Ragnaros hero power?". At the end I concluded my thoughts with the observation that this deck needed value card to bring the game to the late where he could express his style at the best. For this I include Alexstrasza and Elise the Trailblazer to bring more value at the deck with their strong powervalue effects.
The quest i think it won't be difficult to complete thanks to Phantom Militia and Stonehill Defender, even we have the right card draw for this deck, because is really difficult to free the hand ( we never play so many cards every turn so we don't need a lot of card draws Acolyte of Pain and Shield Block would be enough).
Finally we have some tech cards like the Abomination really good in aggro matchups when the enemy fill the board and you put a taunt with an AoE effect. Even Blackwald Pixie as I said before is interesting with Ragnaros hero power, but even with Armor Up we can make 8 armor in one turn and use Shield Slam to remove an uncomfortable enemy minion. Besides I put in King Mosh, that has a very important removal power at turn 10 with Whirlwind, especially in the hardest matchups where we need to clear a big enemy board and reach the initiative of the game. Last but not least we have the amazing Gorehowl, we don't see it for a lot of months, but now it could return, especially because we can only use odd cards so we can't use Blood Razor and warrior needs the help of the weapons to take the control of the board and this fantastic weapon help us a lot.
If you like my deck please leave a like, and when the expansion will be released i could make even the Mulligan guide and the matchups if you enjoy it. Good games at everyone!
EDIT: I removed 2x Iron Hide because I think we have enough "armor creation" thanks to the Hero Power boosted by Baku the Mooneater, so instead of those two card I insert in the deck 2x Reckless Flurry really strong with our Hero Power because in one turn with only 5 mana we can do a 4 damage AoE, I want to remember you that Flamestrike does the same and it cost 7 mana.
EDIT 2: After some observations, i've noticed that Alexstrasza could fit very well in this deck, because you can do turn 9 her and bring the enemy to 15 HP, and the turn after clean the board with Reckless Flurry and the others 7 mana are used to make Hero power + Blackwald Pixie + Hero Power. You even have to think that the enemy after you play Alex, he has to deal with her and try to solve the problem on the board, so through this tempo play, you take value from the combo with Pixie. I obviously removed Tar Lord coz i don't think it's important for this deck, the taunts are a lot and the quest can be completed easily even without the lord.
EDIT 3: Big changes boys, I've played with the deck for whole night and I've noticed that it has a good matchups against all the other decks, but against cubelock we suffer a little. So to increase the matchup against cube I include in the deck Harrison Jones and Ironbeak Owl. However i also fit in the deck Abomination instead of Witchwood Grizzly, because in the most of the cases Abomination is better in aggro matchups, for example against pala or hunter because with his deathrattle clean the board very well.
So I pulled an Acolyte of Pain and put in Zola the Gorgon and it played really well for me. The idea that I can copy anything I have is solid enough for me. If I wanted another Acolyte of Pain , I can get one. Same goes for any other minion. But that is what I have been running into on my side.
i dont have baron gedon, can i reemplace that card?
How necessary is King Mosh ? Isnt brawl+reckless+whirlwind enough aoe?
I think you can find good replacement for him. 9 mana card in this deck is bad because you can't hero power for 8 dmg same turn.
Good replacement like what?
Make warrior great again
got legend with this deck <3
i removed one acolyte and added one more whirlwind vs a lot of dudadins
Honestly i love this deck and how it plays. I have played about 10 games at low lvl play rank 22 and im struggling against mostly classes im either getting super unlucky or im not playing the deck right.... any tips? and i do have all the cards
just an additional note i find im losing early game more often then not cause i cant keep up with all the monsters people are putting out
Thx for the advice! im at rank 19 now and have been doing better as ive played more lol kinda learning as i go!
Do you think you can post a short video of you playing this deck? No explanations, nothing, just playing with or without commentary. I really want to know how to play this deck but I am struggling a lot.
Furthermore, I don't really see how Gorehowl is that good? I mainly use it for a 7 damage finisher lol
can we have tag to spectate you please?
Hello! I'm having quite a lot of trouble with this deck. So.. usually I can't complete the quest until turn 12 or so, and I lost quite a lot to Lady in White priest with Deathrattle quest. Also, Shudderwock is destroying me, and quite a few times I can't seem to draw enough. Also, I run out of removals quite a bit.. Now, to be honest, it's also my fault because I don't have neither Ysera nor Alextraza, so I don't really have any late game, but even in the early game I tend to be running out of removals. Can anyone help me a tad bit with replacing those two? Right now I'm running Chief Inspector because I run into a lot of mages and hunters running secrets, and a second Whirlwind against all the odd paladins I'm seeing. Is there anything else for late game or any other better replacement for Alex and Ysera?
Hmm, well thank you for the response.. I'll see what I can do then to get those cards because I'm really feeling the lack of value in the end game.
Awesome idea with double ragshot with pixie. Something I've wanted to tech into the variant I play if I owned it is Tinkmaster Overspark, specifically for cube. Think it might be better over Ironbeak Owl?
You don't need the quest to beat aggressive decks ever, but it's still nice to have imo, just in case you're actually vs control. Keeping it hasn't really hindered me much.
I love this concept but I can’t win with it. Hunters, paladins, and cube locks are all I see and they fill the board every turn and I run out of ways to clear it. Never feel like I have the upper hand always on defense.
All you need against aggressive decks is one good tempo swing. I like to keep armoring up in the early game to take care of some aggression, and then try to combo fiery war axe charge with some other clear or minion for tempo. FWA wins games as long as you have the board clears and taunts to keep up, which this deck is filled with. Once you stabilize, the hunters and palladins concede about 75% of the time, from my own experience at least.
good deck and fun, I took out 1 x acolyte of pain as card draw dosent seem to be an issue, and put in another ironbeak owl
Could you please make a more expensive deck?
I'd say baku and quest are the core. the other legendaries are tech cards really. you can make a budget version , maybe not as powerful but still good enough to climb and have fun
