Nana here to showcase his anti-aggro deck. This is not the first time I've tried to make taunt druid work. The other time I did I got to top 200 legend with it quite easily. proof
Just coached my brother to legend with this updated list. He got there with a 61% winrate. So if you are struggling to get there this final week this is the deck to go for :) hf
Let me show you how this would work:
Core cards;
I'm sure you can see the synergies without me pointing them out.
Here's a simple mulligan
Note: Don't keep Master Oakheart unless you have the needed ramp in your mulligan phase
A little in-depth mulligan against aggro or control decks, these are of the highest priority
Against Control: Keep, Master Oakheart, Nourish, Oaken Summons and Wild Growth
Against Aggro: Keep, Lesser Jasper Spellstone, Oaken Summons, Wrath, Swipe and Wild Growth
Gameplan;
Ramp up quickly with Wild Growth and Nourish, get your taunts out there and whittle your opponent down.
Later in the game look for combos like;
Hadronox now summons;
Tips Section
Against Aggro, ramp as quickly as possible and put your taunts down.
You can Drop your Hadronox into a Doomsayer if you have enough dead Taunts to deny your opponent setup time
Hadronox + Naturalize is going to win you a lot of games, you should not throw your Hadronox into a silence because you're impatient. Also don't waste your Naturalize every time you need something to disappear, you have a lot of armor for a reason
Branching Paths can give you a lethal you might not realize afterHadronox Vomits
You can put Hadronox down without naturalize if you're playing against a non-mage/non-shaman deck and cube it later. If they silence and kill it just play your Witching Hour and Cube that
That's all for now

Hey I'm new to meta deck building, so sorry if this is a dumb question, but: why is Primordial Drake such a valued part of this deck? Isn't most of the value from that card from his battlecry? Which doesn't trigger again if Hadronox respawns him right? So wouldn't you rather have a stronger 8-cost taunt instead?
Any replacements for Branching Paths and Primordial Drake?
Trogg Gloomeater and a second copy of Ferocious Howl
Tar Creeper and a second copy of Sleepy Dragon could also work but beware that this list is highly optimised and these changes could reduce performance
Deck kind sucks when you never draw Hadronox
Ya this deck sucks cause 9 otu 10 he's like the last 5 cards and by then your dead or just near dead and have already used other cards you needed to make this gimic even work.
So the whole deck sucks because YOU got bad luck.... sounds very logical
I'm loving the deck so far, its really irritating :evilgrin:
I have all the heroes needed except 1 Primordial Drake and The Lich King
I've replaced them with Ironbark Protector and a Splintergraft
Im not overly loving the Splintergraft though, is Malfurion the Pestilent a good option to replace him or should i consider another card, ive got a pretty decent collection.
I tried Doomsayer but he rekt me a few times
the dk spawns 2 spiders/scarabs(beast) which can interfere with witching hour
Craft Lich King ASAP. He's one of the most important cards, specially when you get the +2/+2 and no targetting card. Also Frostmourne can help you steal good taunts for further use (just make sure you DON'T steal a beast.)
I would advice against Tar Creeper because it reduces the odds of Lich King being summoned by your second, third, fourth and fifth Hadronox.
why the hatcher? only for primordial drake? I see no point.
You do know that Master Oakheart exists in that same deck right?
I see no point in Master Oakheart, every time I play it I end up paying 9 mana for a 5/5 that brings nothing to the table. What should I replace him with?
Same question with Dragonhatcher. I see the synergy with Primordial drake but more often than not you'll have it bringing nothing, much like Oakheart.
You are probably just unlucky in that case. Most of the times i face this deck I lose to that exact combo which has been lately make me want to change to play this deck. The power to pull multiple taunts at once is nuts.
edit: typos
I got rank 5 from 10 with your Deck, thank you very much. It's hard to master first, but if used right it demolishes aggro pala-s, hunters, rouges and even cube locks. Love it.
Any place for a silence? Rin, the First Disciple is a real threat for this deck. But putting silence might risk our Oaken Summons because all of the silence cards are 3 and 4 mana for druid.
You would have to cut out the Oaken Summons for it so as not to interfere butRin, the First Disciple shouldn't be a problem if you don't allow it to be. The moment you start drawing quickly and flooding the board, most opponents would stop playing the seals and control instead. If the do not just keep doing your own thing whiles pushing damage to the face and you would win. Once Hadronox dies and you have Carnivorous Cube along with Witching Hour, you can still win with your deck blown up.
I would take out Dragonhatcher for a silence.
Was going to suggest Defias Cleaner then realised Wild, haha
Love this deck. Performs well against Warlock, Paladin and Spiteful decks.
