Mulligan Guide: The Mage encounter is extremely difficult, because you have exactly zero room for error after he hits you with The True Lich. Like the other Murloc decks, you want to hard mulligan for a Murloc Tidecaller and pray that he doesn't have Obliterate or Blizzard.
If you're able to get out a Deadscale Knight early you can buy yourself some extra time. He doesn't have any direct damage in his deck, so you only need to worry about damage from minions. He has extreme aggro over the Deadscale Knight and I've seen him use Obliterate on it over a huge Murloc Tidecaller just so I couldn't gain any life.
Mirror Image and Bilefin Tidehunter are both excellent ways to buy yourself and extra turn or two. Try to keep punching his face unless you have no other options against his minions.
Gentle Megasaur can definitely help you wrap up the game, especially if you're able to get a Windfury or +3 Attack Adaptation. This can be a frustrating fight and you will likely need to restart several times before you get the right combination of cards and luck.
You could always add in Ice Block, but it would probably be better to just have another Taunt minion that could buy you a turn in the early game. If this deck doesn't suit you, then give one of the popular ones below a try!
I'm beat her with EXODIA!
Is a alternative :)
Even with the murloc warleader nerfs is this deck still viable
Of course it's still viable. The only nerf to Murloc Warleader was the change from +2 Attack / +1 Health to only + 2 Attack. The Health does not matter at all in this fight.
Thanks, got it after some time with Oracles into Warleaders (obliterated an Oracle lol).
