Hey guys
10 likes: Mulligan + early guide
Mulligan
As always you will receive The Caverns Below in your starting hand. You have to focus on getting cards such as Shadowstep or Gadgetzan Ferryman (anything that returns your cards to your hand) and some low-cost minions, that you can play, then return. I recommend you Stonehusk Boar or Southsea Deckhand because of Charge.
Early game:
Your early game is pretty simple. You need to choose one minion that you will play then return it to your hand. It is really easy to complete the quest but you have to pay attention to always keep your chosen minion safe from your opponent.

Trades and mid game:
If your card draw was you will complete the quest around turn 6. Once it is done you have to play Cristal Core as soon as possible. It costs 5 mana but with Preparation you can play it for 2.
You only have to take the most necessary trades and just simply ignore enemy minions till you played Cristal Core Once it is done you can take up trades that are necessary or valuable for you.

If you have any ideas about modifications I am glad to accept them!
Edit #1:
Replacements, 10 and 20 upvotes guide added. Thanks for the support :)
Edit#2:
Fire Fly replaced with Hungry Crab against murlcok decks. Si Agent replaced with Novice Engineer.
screw this deck.
Valeera the Hollow won't help do the qt for when she's played u already done it, so u can replace it w Evasion to survive stupid endless fireballs or any dangerous OTKs and plus-spell can save u from losing The Caverns Below on enemy Counterspell
Quests aren't rotating out so they will be around for a while!
As @NarkissosGR is saying: wait one week so the new cards are out, then think about crafting anything. It's my advise because I am also planning on getting quest rogue but I lack gadgetzan ferryman and the quest, and you could lose dust for nothing!
Valeera and SI are too slow, i’m playing two counterfeit coins and a backstab to combo with elven minstrel, and novice engineers instead of fire flies. I would also consider adding hungry crab as a one drop in the current meta
uhh quest Rogue, I hope it never see the play again
Destroyed by murloc pallys.
Quest Rogue might be back in a big way this expansion. We've only seen 3 drop cards with echo, but all it takes is one 1-cost or 2-cost minion with echo and its all over. I doubt we will see a one cost, because then you can complete the quest on turn 5. A 2-cost is a bit more tricky, you would need a bounce card, but say on turn 4 you play it twice then shadow step, next turn you can play the remaining 3 times for the quest, and still be done by turn 5.
If the most we see are 3-drop echo cards, its a bit more tricky, but I still think its doable.. losing the ferryman is obviously a big deal.. but keep quest rogue in mind when you are looking at the reveals.. all it takes is one card
I really don;t think there will ever be a two mana minion with echo
This list sucks so hard :D
Att: a quest rogue player.
Sorry bro, but your deck list doesn't make sense.
Why would you run SI:7 Agent and Valeera the Hollow? Valeera the Hollow is too slow and a 3-mana minion that doesn't contribute for the quest is straight garbage (even a Tar Creeper would protect you more from aggro).
Also why not Coldlight Oracle over Elven Minstrel? It is 1 mana cheaper and every point of mana makes difference, and you don't really care about giving your opponent cards, because you will eventually out value him when you complete the quest, so you just want to complete the quest as soon as possible, and Coldlight Oracle is better at it (you may sub him for Elven Minstrel when Coldlight Oracle goes to hall of fame).
Remember, you want to complete the quest as soon as possible.
If you want to improve your deck list, I suggest you to:
Remove: 2x SI:7 Agent ; 2x Elven Minstrel ; Valeera the Hollow
Add: 2x Coldlight Oracle ; 2x Igneous Elemental ; 1x Doomsayer
Coldlight is bad stats, bad against current aggro meta and you are not guaranteed a minion when drawing with it(also rotating out so might as well get used to/try some alternatives), which is why Elven actually makes a bit of sense, I do however agree that SI:7 might not be optimal in this deck, switched it to igneous elemental because it helps complete the quest and has enough health to survive mage hero power since secrets mage is everywhere.
Also I feel that rather than needing doomsayer to survive till later in the game, I often survive until at least turn 9 and Valeera can really help swing games back in your favor with the stealth and extra value (also helpful if you haven't finished the quest yet). But yeah this one is quite meta dependent, and since I'm facing only Secrets mage (in which case doomsayer is useless) and Cube lock (In which case Valeera helps A LOT), so yeah that's why Valeera seems better right now, but definitely not needed imo.
Paladins are everywhere right now, coldlight is OK if you want to play a mill style and hope to draw/vanish his board. Early in the game, it would be terrible feeding their hand weenies since all paladins want to to is flood the board. Minstrel meets halfway and is guaranteed to give you minions, which is better for this decks win condition.
Reasoning to not include novice inventor? Don't get me wrong I don't think its that useful, 2 mana and poor stats, but every other Quest Rogue deck list runs it, was hoping to get your thoughts on that.
I would add Glacial shard for the freeze
Maybe adding Face Collector from the new set, would help with a little bit of value!
Great deck!
quest rogue will have no use for face collector. the core minions are pretty set already and the legendaries you get will only equate to 5/5's anyway
Face collector is just a bad card.
Don't play it.
Ever
How does this deck fare against secret mage, agro pally, and control lock? Currently playing miracle. Would quest rogue fit that meta better?
