I dont see the Odd mechanic working in Standard yet, but for wild it should have potential for very strong tempo Mages.
This has enough carddraw and some insane Tempo plays, should be strong especially if we see some more cards supporting the mechanic.
Edit: I was actually surprised to find this Deck on the frontpage of Hearthpwn today, because i just wanted to figure out the best version off an odd-mage for myself and save it here so i could play is as soon as the new expansion releases, hopefully carrying me to a high rank fast.
So thank your guys a lot for your feedback, feel free to comment and help me find the best possible version of this archetype.
Ah yes. 6 mana 6/3 do nothing is a great tempo play
Looks sweet, although Arcane missiles looks a little lack luster without something like Aluneth. Maybe play a Breath of Sindragosa and another 1 drop like Clockwork Gnome or of the like?
Either than that, I'm excited to play with this deck in the upcoming format
fireball, frostbolt, glyph - lol you sacrifice this for black cat?) don't tell me you will kill enemy with 2dmg ability)
No Polymorph: Boar? Or Breath of Sindragosa?
I believe Potion of Polymorph will perform better than Polymorph: Boar anyway, but especially in a secret mage...
Tempo decks don't want to use their hero power EVER they want to play on curve.. The whole concept doesn't really make sense lol
looks pretty sweet
I love the deck but the more i look at it the more I realize I'm just not sure if I ever want to spend 2 mana to deal 2 damage in a tempo list, Especially one that doesn't run burn.
That Dr. boom could be a Jaina DK or Antonidas you know?
Jaina is too controlly for this list, but with all the draw and 1 cost spells antonidas could really shine.
Odd mage will definately be a thing in wild. We won't be getting any more odd-matters support, but provided they print more cards with an odd mana cost the upgraded hero power is going to be too juicy to ignore - in wild at least.
Also, on the face of it, this deck seriously lacks a win-con, and tempo can be great, but odd-only will definitely make for some clunky turns, which is anti-tempo. Boom has got to go - he never sees play anymore. Antonidas is like a poor-mans Aluneth, but when you gotta have odd-cost he is the natural fill-in for a deck that NEEDS Aluneth.
This deck also NEEDS more face spells, so Tony can deliver.
