Hi guys!
THIS DECK CAN WORK IN WITCHWOOD!
Just wanted to throw this out as a really cool deck. It needs refinement but its really fun to play. It uses quest as a situational ability via Cataclysm. Using it as another Twisting Nether. It has cards that you don't mind throwing away, don't get me wrong, it hurts loosing The Lich King, but its better than loosing without a board, which is what the quest gives you.
Some combos you can use with Cataclysm involve using the Violet Wyrm/Voidlord. If you clear their side and gain 3 taunts via Cataclysm you are not loosing much, and Gul'dan will revive the Voidlords as well.
I'll leave it at that for now, still working on the deck, but as it is right now, it seems great. It is lacking at defending from rush if you don't get the cards (like always...).
Let me know any suggestions you have with the deck. This can work with cubelock (regretably :/). Trying to stay away from cubelock stuffs! Not that kind of person!
Let me know what you think!
18 March 2018 Update
Hi everyone!
Just wanted to give some tips on the build. This is a Lakkari deck, but it is made as a situational card, not as the main theme of it. The whole idea is to play like a normal demonlock, get your lacky's and your Voidlords out, and win the game via board presence.
I have added Felhounds to the deck as another big creature your opponent must deal with. It's not as threatening as the Voidlords, but it's still a huge creature.
Cataclysm is the card you want to hold off on until a very key moment in the game/when you can play it all on one turn. Lets say, your opponent played a bunch of big scary creatures (looking at you priest >:3). You have 7 cards in your hand (7 because you need 6 for quest and 1 cataclysm) you play cataclysm and the quest the same turn.
This will require some prep... but not much, just make sure you play your demons first then play cataclysm (at least 1 Voidlord). I added Skull of the Man'ari to help with this.
The quest combined with Gul'dan is insane because you will always have a board and keep on healing. You basically have guaranteed 9 damage on the field at any given moment at that point.
Thats all i have for now! Let me know what you guys think!
Was looking at Witchwood cards, and this deck has a bunch of flexible cards... Azalina? Just throwing it out there it could work great actually. After you dump your hand you can have your opponents hand... Or you can just discard it. Either way its a win!
UPDATE 3/31/2018
Hi Everyone!
Been thinking about Azalina for the deck as said previously... it seems like a great card for the deck. If you play it after you play cataclysm, you get good cards in your hand... if you play cataclysm while its in your hand you finish quest with no drawbacks. It's the perfect card for Cataclysm.
I was kinda hoping for a little more feedback. This deck is not dead! It's just the beginning. Let me know what you guys think!!!
HOW CAN I PLAY AZARI FROM Rin, the First Disciple IF I HAVE Skull of the Man'ari EQUIPPED??????
I mentioned that in the description... Rin is almost unplayable because of Lakkari Sacrifice. It's a bit too slow for the deck. I mean, yeah its a strong taunt, and you may be able to get away with playing the full Rin combo in certain situations. This deck doesn't revolve around Azari, its another condition.
You make a good point there... thinking about it now, Azari is actually unplayable in the deck (but the opponent doesn't know that :P). It may be a good scare tactic lol. I don't know what you could switch it out for though... its a solid 6 drop.
EDIT! Ok so, Ive updated the deck recently (not updating it here because ... i kinda joined the dark side with cubes (DON'T HURT ME :P)) Basically the way to proc Rin, is to cataclysm Rin in one turn.
Woot! Let me know what you think of it. It's still floating on some cards (which is a good thing for Lakkari). I'm thinking of removing Rin... in all the games i've played with this deck i haven't used Rin to her full potential. Great discard card though...
