Hey Guys,
today i bring to you my miracle rogue i went to Top 5 legend with.
General Information:
The Miracle Rogue is one of the oldest archetypes in the history of Hearthstone. The main thing about is to use your cheap spells to cycle through your deck fastly with Gadgetzan Auctioneer or to build a very big Edwin VanCleef. With the new expansion, Miracle Rogue got a very strong addition to the deck with Fal'dorei Strider, which is in my opinion one of the most important cards of the deck and that is also the reason why i play double Elven Minstrel and also just one Vilespine Slayer and no Fire Fly, because i want to have the Fal'dorei Strider as often on turn 4 as possible. Thats why playing the Elven Minstrel with the coin on 3 is in most cases pretty good! But we come to that later in the mulligan and when we take a closer look at the deck!
Mulligan:
I think it's pretty hard to write a good mulligan guide for this deck, because it mostly depends on what you also have as a choice. For example, vs. aggro you hold SI:7 Agent with coin always, but without coin also if you also have Backstab in hand. Same goes for Fan of Knives if you have Preparation etc. This gets even more complicated if you count in the Counterfeit Coin.
I still try to give you some general information about it!
vs AGGRO:
General:
Preparation, Backstab, Shadowblade, Eviscerate
with Coin:
vs CTRL:
General:
with Coin:
Elven Minstrel, Edwin VanCleef
Key cards and important combos:
Gadgetzan Auctioneer: Literally the key card in this deck, with Backstab, Counterfeit Coin and Backstab, there are so many ways to start cycling in turn 6 already.
Fal'dorei Strider: This card is important for the mid-game board presence. With the 4/4 spiders you push some damage and fight for the board.
Elven Minstrel: As the before mentioned cards are the most important in my opinion, the Elven Minstrel is pretty important to get the stuff together as soon as possible. Coining it out on Turn 3 feels pretty good vs most matchups!
Shadowstep: This card is pretty flexible in this deck, you can use it for card]SI:7 Agent[/card] vs. aggro, to get more 4/4 Spiders with another Fal'dorei Strider after a value trade. Anyways, most of the time, you generate more burst with Leeroy Jenkins.
Sap: Your key card vs. Warlock (you actually often kill the Possessed Lackey and kill the Voidlord afterwards, because if he kills his Lackey and plays Dark Pact on his Voidlord, it's bad for you. Versus Priest, don't overestimate the effect of the Drakonid Operative, its good to get rid of his stats, so you can use Sap for that.
Shadowblade: A card you won't find in many lists- i like it because its pretty good versus secret mage and murloc paladin, but also helps vs tempo priests or gives some more burst damage vs. ctrl decks.

Stats:
Don't play this if you meet too much aggro. Also you should know that this deck needs a lot of training and gameknowledge. Anyways, for me it is the most fun deck ever and i love to see it working out well again!

Zealot work nice for me, i even cut the thalnos since we already have tons of draw. Zealot also help dodgin Explosive rune.
For everyone whining about Cubelocks
If you see them enough do this:
-1 Vilespine Slayer +1 Vanish
If ALL you see is Cubelocks (more than 70%):
-1 Vilespine Slayer -1 Shiv +2 Vanish
Vanish is bad with striders
Can I sub in a reckless rocketeer for leeroy? I dont own the guy.
Also don't own him. Any other suggestions?
Reckless is better, this 2/1 is shit.
Stormwind can also be used with Coldblood too
its literally just a common its called <card>southsea deckhand</card>
GOOD deck~ Went 5-2 with this, really fun to play. Haven't play Miracle Rogue in years
A question for the people who played this deck, how useful is the Shadowblade in this deck since that's the only card that's different in this deck
Very useful, you can trade with early aggro deck minions and sometimes can even save your health from Mage / Hunter Secret.
I have a question too, you guys do not test the cards by yourself? I mean, Shadowblade is just a good card (even better with Backstab/Deadly Poison), it's obvious that it works against aggro, shiny against Mage with runes , Hunter with Wandering Monster , 4/3 turn 3 aka Bearshark , Kirin Tor Mage etc etc...
I don't think that would work, it's really slow and the minion has poor stats. Rummaging kobold does work in a jade shaman to get back the jade claws though
ya thought so
It's too slow for the tempo of this deck
First off, Rummaging Kobold doesn't work in Rogue. Will give you back Wicked Dagger most of the time. And even IF it would work, it would be bad, since it got negative tempo, while providing nearly no value. For it to be good you need your weapon to do something besides being a weapon and negating some damage.
thank you llol, even considering the idea of rummagingis hilarious
This deck is insane, works really well, reached rank 5 from rank 14 no sweat facing priests and warlocks. Only problem the deck has is going against mages, you'll need to outcurve them and draw really well otherwise your tempo will be gone in an instant and he'll burn you down in 2 to 3 turns. I'd also recommend using hallucination if you don't have a Thanos like I did, very versatile and can pull off some extreme BS, otherwise if you are facing tons of control warlock tech in an Ooze.
Ya, against mage is also when Shadowblade comes to good use since you can do things like remove a Kirin Tor Mage on 3 without taking damage. I've seen some discussion on reddit about replacing Shiv with Cavern Shinyfinder and to have either Shadowblade like this list or to use Perditions Blade. Shadowblade is better against mage and Perditions Blade is better against Paladin so it depends on what is seen more. This also adds some mind games since the opponent thinks you are playing Kingsbane and might do suboptimal plays because of it.
Can Sherazin, Corpse Flower replace anything in this deck? Also, is it worth it to craft two Preperations, or just hope to get them from packs?
If you want to play miracle rogue at all in the future, Preparation will always be important. They're fairly safe crafts, especially considering people think it's one of the most broken class spells there is haha.
As for Sherazin, maybe you could swap out... One Cold Blood or even the Shadowstep (I've been playing miracle with only one of each, or sometimes two cold blood and zero shadowstep, with good success), but I don't know. I don't have Sherazin and I don't miss having him, so maybe I'm not the one to ask haha.
