So before I start, of course it's super dumb to make predictions about a set before hardly any of the cards are revealed. That said, I wanted to see if i could be super dumb and make a deck that was semi functional with Baku the Mooneater since I saw so many people say that this card was unplayable. And I did it with the class that historically had one of the trashiest Justicar Trueheart upgraded hero powers: Rogue. What had me thinking is that if you have Rogue's upgraded power at the start of the game (instead of waiting like with Justicar), it functions as 2 mana, 4 damage. Well, Prince Keleseth already has Rogue's cutting two drops, so all I need to do is cut 4 drops and boom. 2 mana, 4 damage to the face, FACE ROGUE! It's dumb, but it's too late...me go face.
edit: Silly me. I didn't see Swashburglar was rotating out. Argent Squire is fine enough. Of course with the rotation there will probably be lots of cards that will be subbed in. Can't wait to find out! :D
So regarding to your words, control needs brain. Ok, what about cube- and controllocks? I dont think they need brains, but takes more time to play one game, also new expansion didnt realease, so im sure its not full version and there will be decks better then this one. I would like to see something new, that is better then contrLOL priests and locks, that just topdeck needed card and win. so dont talk about agro or contol, its the same like in wow horde or alliance
I think Azalina Soulthief is a bad idea. As a face deck, you should aim to win before turn 7. And even if you get to turn 7, if your best play is a 3/3 you're probably going to lose anyway
You don't get the point of Azalina. It gives you enourmous amounts of steam against Control Deck.
it's a one of in a deck with no card draw. Either I never draw it and it doesn't matter because no card draw, or I draw it right as I run out of steam and I get a full hand versus control and keep going. I would never run two. Mostly the reason it's in is that it's a 7 cost and I need odd cost cards. My choices are limited.
I do get the point but I'm still unconvinced tbh. You surrender too much tempo for what could be anything (or, in some cases, nothing at all)
If you're going face anyway why not use Sinister Strike to get even more face burst?
sinister strike doesn't help with the board. Cold blood does more damage and can be used to make trades.
I was thinking of having it instead of one of the minions. It's essentially a 1 mana 3 damage charge to help finish the game off.
I think it would work out. With almost half the deck being 1 cost cards, getting a decent Edwin should be pretty easy. It won't be as good as it was in tempo or miracle rogue, but I think it would still be worth running.
Coins are even cost, it would ruin the deck idea.
I need 3 cost cards. Edwin is one of the best in the game. Even if it's just a 3 mana 4/4 it's good.
Counterfeit Coin disappears after rotation.
You can fit edwin into 99% of rogue: three mana 4/4 of course!
.
Cool idea
I had the same idea except i couldn't figure out how to make it work without backstab, shadowstep and keleseth. I really like the idea of having the rogue hero power basically become steady shot x2 so i hope this deck gets a little support with the new cards.
Also if you're trying to make a post rotation standard version you should take out the swashburglars. (didnt notice the other comments lol)
fixed, I didn't see that swashburglar was that old. Will miss the card. I like it.
If this deck is build to new meta Swashburglar can't be used in this deck...
oh dammit, that makes me sad. Ok I'd need to find a replacement, lol
Taunt 2/4 in face deck???
