My name is Kiloriffic, long time player and avid reader of the Data Reaper Report and Meta Snapshots. I have been playing the game since launch and consider myself to be slightly above average (usually rank 5 or higher), with my best personal achievement being 1st place at ValorCon Chicago 2016 in a Bo5 Conquest 32 player double elimination bracket. I try to keep up with the weekly changes in the meta through various deck and data tracking sites, Vicious Syndicate, Metastats, HearthstoneTopDecks, HSReplay, Tempostorm and DisguisedToast, to name a few. I also watch and keep record of all of the tournaments I can, including line ups and decks lists. My goal here is to post the most common or successful builds from each deck archetype, and if shown enough interest I will provide detailed guides on win rates, mulligans, play style, and card replacements.

I've always loved control pala archetype, but after the possibility of making an OTK deck, I have been searching for a decent deck and found this. Currently, I'm trying your deck out! ;)
I have some thoughts/ questions; Would it make sense to make room for Zola? I really like the Zola+Lynessa combo. But then again, you are running 2x potion of Heroism. That could result in A LOT of draw together with BoW! I don't know... And what about Rag the Lightlord? Would it make sense to make room for him as well? :-)

Posted Mar 13, 2018 (Patches Nerf)Haven't seen Zola the Gorgon in any lists I've looked at, but the combo is an interesting idea. Could probably cut Bloodmage Thalnos or 1x Spellbreaker to squeeze her in. If you are running into the issue of too much card draw, Blessing of Wisdom can be swapped out with Humility or Adaptation. The only lists I've found that run Ragnaros, Lightlord seem to be tournament lists that also run the N'Zoth, the Corruptor package instead of the Lynessa Sunsorrow package. Here's some links if you want to check those out. Although I think either of the above replacements can be swapped with Ragnaros, Lightlord as well.

Posted Mar 13, 2018 (Patches Nerf)I've been trying out the Zola the Gorgon version (cutting 1x Spellbreaker) and it's quite good.
Situations Zola the Gorgon has come useful:
All in all, I think Zola the Gorgon is definitely less situational than the second Spellbreaker. I think the only other improvement would be to cut 1x Potion of Heroism. I have not yet figured out if it would be a good idea though and what the replacement would be.
