Hmm, what about Howlfiend + Treachery + Defile to make the opponent discard the ransom spell? It's possible to mana cheat Howlfiend by playing the legendary weapon the turn before and to discount Treachery, Defile and Togwaggle by one mana each using Emperor Thaurissan. It would require good timing when playing the legendary weapon, since you need a good Defile board the next turn.

That approach could be combined with Coldlight Oracle, such that if your opponent has 8+ cards in hand, you fill their hand to burn the ransom spell, while if they have fewer cards you try to make them discard the ransom spell.

It's a 3/3, slamming your silverware golem into it should work (as well as a dozen other ways).

Very creative, but does it actually work? Grand Archivist says "At the end of your turn" and it will be summoned for the opponent, so it would not trigger on the turn of the swap.

Of course there is also the problem with Vanguard + Treachery + Togwaggle being 7 + 3 + 8 mana, but in theory you could draw Togwaggle from Bright-Eyed Scout and Vanguard could survive a turn if your opponent doesn't want to deal with the summoned minion right away.

I know it's a joke, but it would be cool if it were actually possible and someone would pull it off.
