Hello, this is Rapion! I am currently a TOP 100 Legend Player in NA.

Watch me on https://www.twitch.tv/arabauk I stream on sundays 11 am PST or 8 am HST.

UPDATE (3/8/18) Hello Guys I made this decklist on March 5th 2018. In 3 days it blew up, thank you guys for upvoting my list as the premier Control Rinlock list! Will do Matchup Explanations soon!

UPDATE (3/9/18) Added a gameplay video for this deck. Furo, Very Well-Played. And I like your reasoning for every play.

UPDATE (3/10/18) Added Mulligan and Matchup Win conditions against the Tier 1 and Tier 2 decks. Will add Tier 3 Soon.

UPDATE (3/17/18) Added the Tier 3 Matchup Explanations. I won't add Kingsbane Rogue because I never see it but you need to survive until he fatigues and then Ooze + Gnomeferatu his Kingsbane late game.

UPDATE (3/25/18) Streamed today explaining the deck and teaching my friend how to play it! We won a lot together! Peaked at RANK 17 Legend! Check out the VOD in the guide below!

UPDATE (4/2/18) Added another gameplay video by Trust Chance! I like your casual gameplay. The games do take a while, it's a control deck haha. Deck is still really good for climbing. Will change it once next expansion comes!

Background

I made a Spiteful Summoner list that has a very high winrate and shows consistency. However spiteful summoner is bad against aggro and inner fire priest which is 2/3 of the meta.

https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1035825-updated-end-him-deck

The Situation in Ladder

Tier 1 Meta Decks: CubeLock, Rinlock, Inner fire Priest, Aggro Pally (Both Murloc/Dudes)

Tier 2 Meta Decks: Spiteful Summoner/Control Priest, Secret Mage, Zoolock, Secret Hunter, Big Priest, Dead Man's Hand Warrior

Tier 3 Meta Decks:Quest Mage, Miracle Rogue, Jade Druid, Evolve Shaman, Quest Rogue

Why this deck Performs!

  1. Rin, the First Disciple , Rin wins the control matchups for you. Although the effect is only useful against both versions of warlock. A 6 mana 3/6 taunt with value when it dies is really powerful.
  2. The bad matchups are Inner fire Priest, Quest Mage and Quest Rogue. Quest Rogue is almost a autoloss. But Quest Mage is winnable by spamming Voidlords and rin early. Inner Fire Priest however is easily countered by Skulking Geist. Then just set up your taunt wall and play for fatigue.
  3. High winrate against Aggro!

If this gets 10+ Upvotes, I'll explain all the cards, substitutions and matchup explanations.

I don't make lies, I make promises. Edit: Promises were kept, everything finished!

Card Explanations Below:

  1. Mistress of MixturesThis card is absolutely necessary against aggro pally and secret mage. It can also save you from doom-guard damage from Cubelock.
  2. Dark Pact, This card is an absolute MUST HAVE, some people suggest running Sacrificial Pact because 1/3 of the meta is warlocks, and it kills your voidlords against Priests who steal them. However you must run dark pact instead because ofPossessed Lackey and to kill your Rin, the First Disciple against control decks.
  3. Kobold Librarian, No explanation needed, the most broken 1 drop in the game, and in all warlock lists.
  4. Acidic Swamp Ooze, This tech card is very good against cubelock because this deck can't handle the insane tempo Skull of the Manari offers. Great killing Aluneth in Secret Mage, and destroys Vinecleaver in aggro pally.
  5. DefileMUST HAVE card in any control warlock list. Synergies with your low health minions too.
  6. Doomsayer, Awesome against all aggro decks, can be used to buy a turn against control decks. However, you have to play this card well against control warlocks. You don't want to kill their possessed lackey around turns 4-6 with this card. You also don't want them to have a free Cube proc as well. In the mirror matchup they can destroy their Rin for free as well.
  7. Gnomeferatu, this is a very replaceable card, it's great against all control warlocks acts as a river crocolisk (2 mana 2/3) against aggro. If you mill one of their best cards you can potentially win the game off of that.
  8. Stonehill Defender, awesome card as it provides value against control decks, and is a taunt against aggro. However,Tar Creeper is better against aggro decks.
  9. Hellfire, a MUST HAVE card in control warlock, kills off most turn 4 boards. Great against all decks and acts as a direct damage spell when necessary.
  10. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, if you upgrade this card once, it's a 4 mana Holy Fire for warlock. A class that absolutely relies on healing and board control. It's a Shadowbolt and Drain Life combined into one card.
  11. Spellbreaker, A card that is great against any class that buffs their minions and deathrattles. Some deck examples: Miracle Rogue (Edwin), Control Rinlock, Cubelock, Innerfire Priest, Murloc Pally. (Which is most of the meta)
  12. Possessed Lackey, A great card in pulling your voidlords at a cheaper cost. If you get both voidlords in your hand then this card is useless, but it's not the end of the world as you have 6 AOE spells to stall for you to play the voidlords.
  13. Rin, the First Disciple, explained in the intro: Why this deck Performs!
  14. Skulking Geist, Explained above, but I would like to give a deeper explanation why this card is good in the meta. It's a tech card that is good against Cubelock, Inner Fire Priest, Evolve Shaman and Jade Druid. Jade Druid destroys control decks like this one, so you need this card to beat them. I don't see Jade Druid in High Legend as I'm Top 100 legend right now but you'll see them in Ranks 5-1. This card makes it harder for Inner Fire Priests to steal your Rin and voidlords as it destroys their Pint Sized potion with their inner fire. Shaman has Devolve to kill your Lackeys, and Voidlords. So why don't you do them dirty right back?
  15. Twisting Nether, You should always run 2 Nethers in this list. It kills Both Control Warlocks as you need 2 to kill both their Guldan and N'Zoth turn. You can also use one to stay alive in the midgame as well when neccessary. Great against Aggro Pally and Evolve Shaman, as if you get to turn 8, killing their board as many times as you can is always good. It's just good against any player that overextends on board.
  16. Voidlord, MUST HAVE 9 mana 3/18 taunt that is hard to deal with? Sign me up for control. Make sure to prevent voidlords from getting stolen by Inner Fire Priests!
  17. Bloodreaver Guldan, best DK Hero in the game with the best hero power in the game. Great game finisher. MUST HAVE.
  18. N'Zoth the Corruptor, this card is MUST HAVE as it allows you to win against control decks as it allows you to flood the board a second time. Without this card, you will lose a lot against control.

 Card Substitutions:

Disclaimer: These are Card Substitutions that do not change the identity of the deck.

  1. Mistress of Mixtures, if you are absolutely sure you are only playing control decks then replace the card with
    1. Mountain Giant
    2. Gnomeferatu
    3. Zola, The Gorgon
    4. Elise, The Trailblazer
  2. Doomsayer, If you are inexperienced or just don't like playing doomsayer i suggest not replacing it but you can with:
    1. Plated Beetle
    2. Siphon Soul
    3. Dirty Rat (But you have to play this at the right time)
  3. Gnomeferatu, It's great against the mirror matchup but if you are always unlucky with the mill, then replace it with:
    1. Plated Beetle
    2. Tar Creeper
    3. Dirty Rat
  4. Stonehill Defender, If you are only playing against Aggro, then run
    1. Tar Creeper
    2. Lone Champion?
    3. Zola, the gorgon
  5. Spellbreaker, great in the meta but if you can't seem to use it then,
    1. Faceless Manipulator
    2. Siphon Soul
    3. Hungry Crab?
    4. Sacrificial Pact?
  6. Skulking Geist, If you are somehow dodging Inner Fire Priest, Evolve Shaman, and Jade Druid in the last 10 games then run other tech cards:
    1. Gnomeferatu
    2. Mind Control Tech
    3. Hungry Crab?
    4. Sacrificial Pact?
    5. Blood Knight?
  7. Twisting Nether, If you somehow do not find use of this card then replace it with:
    1. Mountain Giant
    2. Elise, the trailblazer
    3. Doom?

Match-up Explanations (Against all Meta decks):

Disclaimer: I will give tips, not give you an answer for every scenario that could happen.

Rule of Thumb: Always keep Kobold Librarian in Mulligan

  1. ALWAYS KEEP KOBOLD LIBRARIAN AND ONE POSSESSED LACKEY AGAINST EVERY CLASS
  2. TIER 1 DECKS: CubeLock
    1. Mulligan: Acidic Swamp Ooze, Spellbreaker, Rin, the First Disciple, Kobold Librarian, Possessed Lackey
    2. Situational Keeps If you have one of the above:
      1. Stonehill defender to block a mountain giant attack
      2. Doomsayer especially when going 2nd to deny mountain giant on turn 4.
      3. Dark Pact, If you know you can survive till turn 7, to kill off your own Rin for the win.
    3. Matchup Explanation:
      1. Your win conditions:
        1. Win by Fatigue: Generally Cubelocks will tap a lot more than you because you do not need a big hand size for mountain giant. This results in you being farther away from fatigue. Keep his board unable to kill you and stall for the win!
        2. Destroy His Weapon: The Skull of the Man'ari offers too much tempo to deal with even if you are a control warlock. If you destroy his weapon early, he just wasted a whole turn and can't out tempo you in the midgame. High chances of winning after this.
        3. Survive the Mountain Giants: Cubelock can cheese a win with mountain giants, try deny that by playing doomsayer especially going 2nd on your turn 3. Stonehill defender blocks an attack, Allowing you to deal with it later.
        4. Silence his Cube or Possesed lackey: Very Similar to destroying his weapon, resulting in huge tempo loss for him. Allowing you time to Set up your taunt wall and either beat him by fatigue or Rin to Win.
  3. Rinlock
    1. Imagine how you lose with this deck and do that to him!
    2. Mulligan: Rin, the First Disciple, Spellbreaker, Kobold Librarian, Possessed Lackey
    3. Situational Keeps (If you have one of the above):
      1. Dark Pact- Allows you to Proc Rin as fast as possible to destroy his deck.
      2. Gnomeferatu - Can win you the game by milling his important card
      3. Stonehill defender - Chip him with value taunts. The health game is important.
    4. Matchup Explanations:
      1. Your Win Conditions:
        1. RIN TO WIN!!!:This is the premier time for Rin to shine! Watch out for silences as that can RuIN your day. Rin into dark pact = killing Rin instantly without the opponent to react to it. Make sure you don't get out tempoed and pull out your voidlords to defend you while you are playing your seals.
        2. Out Tempo their Rin condition: If you didn't have a chance to silence their Rin, and he's playing seals faster than you, then there is a chance to out tempo him and push the face damage. Play your voidlords faster than him and once he plays his voidlord, silence it and push more face damage. Eventually he'll be in a scenario where he cannot play Azari because he'll die if he does play it.
        3. Playing your Guldan and N'zoth after they do: It may not seem logical at first but if you think about it, if you are able to kill their two huge board swings first (with your 6 AOE spells), it gives you tempo advantage as if you play it after, it makes them have to react to your board resulting you being able to do other things in later turns which is better than doing other things earlier. It's a complicated thing to explain so I'll let you figure that out.
        4. Playing more Voidlords: Plays into all three of the previous win conditions, you need this to stall for RIN, you need this to out tempo their RIN, and you need this for your Guldan and N'zoth being more threatening.
  4. Inner Fire Priest
    1. You most likely need to lose a few games before mastering how to play against Inner Fire Priest. I am also experimenting the most optimal play against this version of priest still as well.
    2. Mulligan: Skulking Geist, 1 Hellfire,Spellbreaker, Doomsayer Possessed Lackey, Kobold Librarian
    3. Situational Keeps:
      1. Rin, the First Disciple, if you feel like you can survive the mid game with your mulligan.
    4. Matchup Explanation:
      1. This is by the way, the most mind-boggling, frustrating matchup as the Control warlock especially without Skulking Geist.
      2. Your Win Conditions
        1. SKULKING GEIST TECH: Skulking Geist single-handedly gives you at least a 10-20% higher chance of winning this matchup. By destroying their Inner fires, potion of madness and pint-size potion, they aren't allowed to make your voidlord or Rin attack to 2 or less resulting them to steal it with Cabal Shadow Priest, or Potion of Madness. For them to steal, the only two options they have are Twilight Acolyte + Cabal Shadow Priest or Mind Control. That is a lot easier to play around.
        2. Kill your Voidlords without dying yourself: This is really hard to pull off. Killing off your 9 mana 3/9 taunt is really hard to do. You must dark pact them for immediate insurance.
        3. Keep the health of their minions to at most 4-6, It's risky in itself to leave it at 6, as two divine spirits + Inner Fire = 24 damage but you can't really play around drakanoid operative on turn 5 and then full combo on turn 6. It's very unlikely for that to happen. Of course if you have a good board clear turn, do it as priests will run out of good minions eventually.
        4. Pray to god that they can't steal your voidlords:  This is time where you have possessed lackey or voidlords in your hand and the only way you do survive is playing a voidlord as your huge taunt. You have to do this even against the threat for them to steal.
  5. Aggro Pally (Both Murlocs and Dudes)
    1. Btw, you are more scared of murlocs as they can ramp up in damage faster. But you have a lot of anti aggro options so you are fine.
    2. Mulligan: Doomsayer, mistress of mixtures, Kobold Librarian, Defile, Hellfire.
    3. Situational Keep (If you have at least one card above)
      1. Stonehill defender: Taunt against aggro, good stuff
      2. Lesser amethyst Spellstone: Only with Kobold Librarian
      3. Gnomeferatu: 2 mana 2/3 as a body to contest the board.
    4. Matchup Explanation:
      1. This match-up is straight forward. ALWAYS CLEAR BOARD or PLAY TAUNT WALL WHEN YOU CAN.
      2. Your Win Conditions:
        1. Survive turns 1-7: That may seem to be a stretch as both decks aim to kill you on turn 5-6 but if you can survive their turn 7, you are able to play your two Twisting Nethers. Very strong AOE cards that punish the Pally for overextending especially to get rid of Divine Shields. If you are able to guldan with a Voidlord then you are able to win.
        2. Use AOE to kill huge boards not small ones: If you have to kill 2 minions with your AOE spell then that's really bad. Paladin has ton of board recovery options with Call to Arms. If you can use your minions and spellstone to kill a small but deadly board then you have a high chance of winning.
        3. Use AOE as a Last resort, not first option: If you can clear their huge board without AOE, then always do that. Let's say you have 4 minions on the board and then he plays Call to Arms. Clear their board with your 4 minions and not your AOE spell.
        4. Keep your hand size low: A good measure is if you allow him to Divine favor for 4 or more cards then that's bad as their cards generally have higher tempo then yours.
  6. TIER 2 DECKS: Spiteful Summoner/Control Priest:
    1. Make sure to figure out what type of Priest it is as soon as possible. Control priest tend to not run divine spirit inner fire but may run pint-size, Spiteful only has mind control to worry about.
    2. Mulligan: Hellfire, Possessed Lackey, Doomsayer, Kobold Librarian, Rin, the First Discipled
    3. Situational Keep (If you have at least one card above)
      1. Dark Pact- With Lackey or Rin.
      2. Stonehill defender- as it offers you playable minions in the mid-game to stall for your Twisting Nethers.
      3. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone- with Kobold Librarian
    4. Matchup Explanation:
      1. This matchup solely relies on you keeping their board non-threatening while avoiding your voidlords from getting stolen. Guldan and N'Zoth is enough value to beat them in the late game.
      2. Your Win Conditions:
        1. Do not let your Voidlords get Mind Controlled- This might be challenging as if you have both voidlords in your hand, you are in a situation where if you play it on turn 9, if they are able to Mind Control or coin Mind Control next turn then it is suggested to not play Void Lord because of that risk. If you can get a turn where you can Void Lord and Dark Pact it to prevent Mind Control then that is awesome.
        2. Do not die by huge minions in the Mid Game- Spiteful Summoner has a chance to be a 6 mana 16/16. Do whatever you can to survive that and hope to play Twisting Nether on turn 8.
        3. Out Tempo Them- If you are able to get a voidlord out turn 5 or 6. That allows you to stall for your AOE Spells which is very good as you win the fatigue game.
        4. Don't Concede- Even if your Voidlords get Stolen, you still have a chance to win with RIN.
  7. Secret Mage:
    1. Against mage you always mulligan against secret mage as it's the most popular class on Ladder
    2. Mulligan: Hellfire, Mistress of Mixtures, Kobold Librarian, Possessed Lackey, Doomsayer
    3. Situational Keeps (If you have at least one card above):
      1. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone - With Kobold Librarian
      2. Stonehill defender - If you have a one drop
      3. Dark Pact - If you have Hellfire
      4. Acidic Swamp Ooze - If you have Hellfire or a one drop. Although it's nice to keep it for Aluneth, you need cards that will help you survive till turn 6 and also there is a good chance you draw this by turn 6 anyways as well.
    4. Matchup Explanation:
      1. This matchup is all about staying alive. Your deck is not fast enough to push face damage so you must be conservative and heal yourself from Double fireball/Pyroblast range.
      2. Your Win Conditions:
        1. Clear his turn 4 Board  - The dream start for Secret Mage is Mana Wrym, Arcanologist, into Kirin Tor Mage. They are all 3 Health minions so you need hellfire to clear their board.
        2. Predict his secrets - If he plays a secret early on turn 1 and 2 it's most likely explosive runes or counter spell. You need to pay careful attention to how he plays his secrets. Is he mind gaming you by playing a secret at a bad time, or is he playing intelligently and playing secrets to counter your typical move for that turn.
        3. Staying Alive - You need to heal through his burst, If you are above 20 hp by turn 6 you are in a good spot. If you are at 15 hp or lower, you are in danger. You must try not to tap when you are around 16 hp.  If you have to, to play around a burst combo then you can but other than that you generally want to set up a Voidlord and heal with your spells and minions while he tries to burn you. You can also Bloodreaver Guldan to seal the game.
        4. Voidlord goes FACE! - If you have Voidlord in play, you are able to go face with your minions except against Sorcerer's Apprentice or Mana Wrym. You should let the mage attack into your Voidlord as you also want to end the game quickly as you don't want to give the mage enough time to go face with their spells.
  8. Zoolock-
    1. This is the rarer species of Warlock, you generally will not mulligan for this matchup, but if you have a gut feeling it will be then you can do so.
    2. Mulligan: 1 hellfire, 1 defile, Kobold Librarian, Mistress of Mixtures, Doomsayer, Possessed Lackey
    3. Situational Keep (when you have at least one card above):
      1. SpellBreaker- Zoo will buff their minions with Demonfire and bloodfury potion. This card gives you time to AOE their board.
      2. Stonehill defender- With a early game drop or AOE
      3. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone- With Kobold Librarian
    4. Matchup Explanation:
      1. You play like as if this is Aggro Pally, Clear their board a lot and play to not die.
        1. Survive the demon with 2 buffs start - This start is very cheesy and can lose you the game outright if you don't have a buffed spellstone or Spellbreaker. AOE doesn't do anything to a turn 3 8/7 demon.
        2. Have a board clear- You must have a board clear when they swarm the board with minions, zoo just has so much tempo and buffing power that you need to clear their board while making your board stronger as well.
        3. Survive till Twisting Nether- Twisting Nether clears any board Zoolock can bring out. If you survive till turn 8 you most likely will win the game.
        4. Possessed Lackey/Voidlord not silenced- If they don't have a silence for these two minions, you will most likely win as it'll be hard for them to pass through the taunt.
  9. Secret Hunter-
    1. There is a lot more secret hunter than Aggro/Mid-range Hunter, Lesser Emerald Spellstone is such a powerful card that Hunter loves. Don't die from turn 4 barnes into y'shaarj.
    2. Mulligan- 1 hellfire, Kobold Librarian, possessed Lackey, Stonehill defender, Acidic Swamp Ooze, Doomsayer, Mistress of Mixtures
    3. Situational Keep-
      1. Dark Pact- With Possessed Lackey
      2. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone- With Kobold Librarian
    4. Matchup Explanation:
      1. You generally win the long game even if he Deathstalker Rexxars early. It's hard for hunter to deal with Bloodreaver Guldan and N'zoth.
      2. Your Win Conditions:
        1. Hope they don't have turn 4 Barnes: A 4 mana 14/15 is something that your deck can't handle on turn 4 unless you have a perfect curve with Librarian, gnomeferatu into stonehill defender.
        2. Clear their turn 5 Emerald Spellstone: Warlock is the only class, that can easily deal with Emerald Spellstone with one card, Hellfire. It is such a direct counter that Hunters will play into Hellfire just for the slight chance you won't have it.
        3. Voidlord Taunt - Hunters only have hero power and Kill command for direct burst damage. If you have a huge taunt, you prevent weapon and minion damage.
        4. Play around his secrets: Do not hit face against a hunter turn two with a secret up. Wandering Monster can potentially give him a big minion that you can't deal with early. Also Freezing trap against Possessed Lackey and Voidlord.
  10. Big Priest-
    1. This is actually a good matchup for us as they don't run Mind Control and your Voidlords can run wild as you clear their board with Twisting Nethers.
    2. Mulligan: Gnomeferatu, Rin,  the First Disciple, the First Disciple, Kobold Librarian, Possessed Lackey, Stonehill Defender
    3. Situational Keeps:
      1. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone - With Kobold Librarian
      2. Dark Pact- With Rin, the First Disciple or Possessed Lackey
    4. Matchup Explanation: It's all about if they turn 4 Barnes you.  Barnes allows the Big Priest to Out tempo you before turn 8 where you have your Nethers.
      1. Your Win Conditions:
        1. Survive Turn 4-5 Barnes: This is possible to do as if you play early game minions, they are able to stall till turn 8 for your Twisting Nether. Early Void Lord helps as well.
        2. RIN TO WIN!!!: If you are able to seals without dying to his big minions then you will win because Big Priest needs all the minions they have in their deck. If you make them fatigue faster it will result them to quickly play their minions. Which you can AOE kill them down.
  11. Dead Man's Hand Warrior:
    1. This is a very interesting matchup. You want to deny his card draw and RIN TO WIN because even if he has both dead man's in his hand then that means he has useless cards left. They usually don't run silence.
    2. Mulligan: Gnomeferatu, Rin, the First Disciple Kobold Librarian, Possessed Lackey
    3. Matchup Explanation:
      1. RIN TO WIN: If you destroy his deck before he sets up a good hand to copy, you will win the game as he can't answer your constant voidlord spam.
      2. Don't mill your cards: He will play coldlight oracle to try and mill your good cards. Try to prevent this as much as possible.
      3. Deny his card draw: You can use your spellbreakers to silence his acolyte of pain.
  12. TIER 3 DECKS: Quest Mage-
    1. Never Mulligan for Quest Mage unless you absolutely know it's Quest Mage, Secret Mage is the only version of mage that you should worry about although this is a bad matchup for you.
    2. Mulligan: Gnomeferatu, Stonehill defender, Rin, the First Disciple, Possessed Lackey, Kobold Librarian.
    3. Matchup Explanation: This deck has no burst potential against OTK decks. It's really hard for this deck to win against these quest decks but try your best to destroy his deck, or out tempo him.
      1. Your Win Conditions:
        1. Your Opponent gets unlucky: If your opponent gets all of his card draw and his random spells are good then you are basically done for.
        2. RIN TO WIN: If you get your Rin effect early, then you can potentially blow up his deck destroying his combo pieces.
        3. Stonehill Defender into RIN or dirty rat: Stonehill defender gives you a chance of getting two taunt minions that can screw over his combo. Very good.
        4. Out-Tempo them with Voidlord and Spellbreaker - This is something that can be done as they need to clear their board to prevent damage. If they don't get damage AOE from their random spells. This results in you accumulating damage through your low cost minions.
  13. Miracle Rogue:
    1. This matchup is very unfavored for you as they have high burst potential in the midgame. To win, you must have a healthy life total of 15+ and not let your voidlords get sapped.
    2. Mulligan - Possessed Lackey, Kobold Librarian, Hellfire, Stonehill Defender, Doomsayer
    3. Situational Keeps:
      1. Mistress of Mixtures - If you already have a minion listed above.
      2. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone- If you have Kobold Librarian
      3. Spellbreaker- Amazing against coin, coin, prep, fan, Edwin VanCleef
    4. Matchup Explanation: This deck is very strong against your deck. Hellfire doesn't clear their board by itself as they spawn a bunch of 4/4s. You need to have nice defiles and kill off your voidlords in fear of sap.
      1. Your Win Conditions:
        1. Win the early game (Turns 1-5) - This is really hard to do as Miracle Rogue does have a good amount of mid-range minions. this also gives you time to set up AOE board clears and stall for Guldan or N'zoth.
        2. Kill off or Silence his Gadgetzan Auctioneer, why is this card still in Standard is what mind-boggles me. However, this card has insane synergy and snowball potential. You can even use Twisting Nether to kill it by itself if neccessary.
        3. Don't let your Voidlord get Sapped: If you have the chance to kill off your Voidlord with Dark Pact then you should. This makes your Guldan and N'zoth stronger and negates his sap and Spellbreaker. You can play voidlord against an empty board with a good amount of HP though.
        4. Try to keep his board clear of minions: The burst potential is really high so if he has a chance to get past your taunt easily, Cold Blood is a huge threat against you.
  14. Jade Druid:
    1. Draw Skulking Geist, Win game.
    2. Mulligan: Skulking Geist, Kobold Librarian, Stonehill Defender, Doomsayer, Rin the First Disciple
    3. Matchup Explanation: Skulking Geist single handedly turns this matchup from unfavored to extremely favored this is because you can clear his minions and then his deck is mostly draw after that.
      1. Draw Skulking Geist- If you allow him to ramp his jade Idols to around a 6/6 before drawing Skulking Geist then you are in a lot of trouble. You have a lot of AOE but they have strong midgame tools to actually out-tempo you.
      2. Win the Midgame - If they play too many jades early, then it's super hard to deal with as they usually can clear your minions with ease and go face. Don't get too low as Double Swipe face can result in a comeback loss even after playing Skulking Geist.
      3. Get your Voidlords out- This allows you to stall for Skulking Geist or Rin, the First Disciple. Preventing damage to go to your face.
  15. Evolve Shaman-
    1. This matchup is actually really favored for you as even though they can hex your voidlord. You have Skulking Geist and Double Twisting Nether to kill off any cheese shenanigans.
    2. Mulligan: Kobold Librarian, Possessed Lackey, Defile, Hellfire, Doomsayer, Mistress of Mixtures, Skulking Geist
    3. Situational Keep:
      1. Twisting Nether- If the rest of your hand is the cards above then feel free to keep one Twisting Nether.
      2. Lesser Amethyst Spellstone- With Kobold Librarian
      3. Stonehill Defender- If you have at least one of the cards in Mulligan:
    4. Matchup Explanation: Avoid your voidlords getting devolved or Hex if possible, and clear his huge boards
      1. Clear his high cost minions on the board- After he dopplegangsters and evolves, you must use your AOE spells to clear it. Shaman has a lot of ways to bypass taunt, so you need to take care of his minions first.
      2. Clear huge boards- Even if they are low cost minions, the fear of the DeathKnight hero from Shaman can result in a board that is to hard to deal with in the midgame.
      3. Kill off your Voidlords- If both of your Voidlords get Hex, or Devolve before Guldan or N'zoth then you run out of value to survive the late game. You must dark pact them or Kill off your Rin for Value.
      4. Skulking Geist- If you Skulking Geist before he evolves, then he has no more tempo plays to kill you off resulting in you playing for fatigue.
  16. Quest Rogue:
    1. This deck counters you so hard that it's a 20-30% chance to win as Rinlock when both players are on the same skill level. 20% chance of him not finishing his quest by turn 7-8.
    2. Mulligan- Stonehill defender, Rin, the first disciple, Kobold Librarian, Possessed Lackey, 1 Defile, Gnomeferatu, SpellBreaker
    3. Matchup Explanation: You have to kill him before he finishes his quest: This is really hard to do as he can just vanish your board to reset your tempo.
      1. SMORC- Force him to play defensively instead of finishing his Quest. This is really hard to do as your minions have low attack.
      2. Your Opponent is unlucky- If he doesn't have card draw in his hand then you are set. It's hard to get value if all of his card draw is in the bottom. This allows you to have enough time to set up your minions.
      3. Fatigue him: Even if he finishes his quest, you shouldn't immediately concede as you have two twisting nethers. If he doesn't have charge minions to hit you in the face with then you can keep clearing his board until he has no minions left. Resulting you to win in Fatigue.
