After the nerf hit, Druid has been trying to find a way to break into the current meta. Team Ancestral’s TrickyHunter might just have done that while achieving amazing results with this Druid deck. Tricky has been recognized in Eastern European region as an amazing player with great results and even achieving Rank 1 legend multiple times.
This incredible deck uses Elemental synergy and Spiteful Summoner/Grand Archivist big spell mechanics to create swing turns, and in most cases, win shortly after that. Deck flourishes in current meta. It is heavily favored against Control Warlock and Cubelock - two most played decks this month. It also does well against other classes with positive winrate against all of them and combined getting incredible 70% winrate.
General goal of the deck is to ramp your mana to power turn which are Spiteful Summoner and Grand Archivist and through overwhelming board presence defeat your opponents. After the nerf of Bonemare, Corridor Creeper and Patches the Pirate, Spiteful Summoner decks lost their swing turns. TrickyHunter discovered you can find swing turns in elemental synergy. Blaze Caller acts as a swing turn in place of Bonemare and Fire Plume Phoenix impacts the board in a similar fashion as Southsea Captain. Even though it cost one mana more, it doesn’t depend on Patches still being in the deck and it perfectly synergizes with the Elemental strategy.
In your opening hand you want to see ramp cards, so you want to keep Mire Keeper and Greedy Sprite. You also keep Prince Keleseth and Spiteful Summoner because they give you unfair advantage when played. It is also advised you keep a solid one mana minion for board pressure such as Enchanted Raven or Fire Fly. Against aggro match-ups you are advised to keep Glacial Shard and Tar Creeper if you are on the coin and try to maintain board presence as best as you can. Secret Tempo Mage is one of deck’s few weaknesses, but it’s not impossible to beat it. You are the aggressor in that match-up and need to tempo out your minions. It is also worth noting that Malfurion the Pestilent and its armor-up hero power can enable you to get out of Mage’s limited burn potential.
Any chance to replace Prince Keleseth?
Good deck, but one question. What is the Enchanted Raven for exactly? Do you use it for anti-aggro? Because it seems like Fire Fly and Glacial Shard fill that role fairly well.
Great deck but cube lock hard counters it been seeing alot of those on ladders and might have to make changes to the deck to do better against them.
This deck is just not so great, so many possible bad draws in a spiteful deck already (i.e. topdecking your 10 mana spells), adding elementals to the deck including blazecaller just amplifies the bad draw potential.
I am feeling like this deck is rank-capped for me. Can’t get past Rank 2 one star, I destroy basically everyone on Rank 3, but Rank 2 are 90% cancer palas. Nevertheless, this is by far the best season result I’ve ever had. Thanks for this beautiful deck!
Funny, also got stuck at rank 2 after climbing pretty smoothy from 10. Pally is winnable tho, about 45%. Thanks for the deck anyway!
The heaviest lack of the deck is, that there are only two spells for the spiteful summoner and the grand archivist
On the other hand there are only small minions that can't really keep compete with rush-decks.
My advice:
-1 saronite chain gang
-1 grand archivist
- 1 malfurion the pestilent
+ 2 wisps of the old gods
+ 1 kun the forgotten king

I have played 8 games and won 7, one of them wins against dude pally.
I'm 4-11 with something almost exactly like this. It seems to be utter trash to me.
I played a few games now and i´m quite sure these are bullshit stats.
81.3% against Paladin is just literally impossible without aoe or Plague.
If you have a perfect draw on curve you MIGHT win against them (doesnt matter if Murloc or Dude), but otherwise you just lose.
Hate it when people fake their stats just for a few upvotes.
Its the same screenshot you posted.
Its really not hard to fake these stats.
When i saw the list i was already surprised that he is having such an insane winrate against Paladin.
After playing it i´m pretty sure that if he didnt get very very lucky over his 16 games against Paladins (which is certainly possible) this winrate just can´t be accurate.
Besides playing minions on curve you dont have any defensive tools against their army of 1/1s. You dont just "get the board" against them.
And yeah, there might have been some control Paladins. But around R5 i met maybe 2 of them during the last few days, so i doubt there are many of them in his stats.
U clearly mean on NEW dude paladin. That deck wasnt that popular 7+ days ago when screenshot was taken......
Yep, you are probably right.
My mistake, sorry.
Any tips for the Dude Matchup?
His 81% Winrate is really impressive and i just dont get how he did that.
Its about an even matchup for me but i´m always struggling quite hard.
Looks like he had an easy life against them :D
I played 3 games and haven't got any luck to play Spitiful Summoner and summon something... :( The deck with only two spells seems to be a little bit unreliable, isn't it? Also Grand Archivist makes it even more unreliable...
2-7 record so far. It's just so slow, and even when it does get to late stage, it's just not very strong. Hunter, Mage, Priest, Warlock, everything is beating me :(. I'm getting crappy card draw, but it's very easy for that to happen.
Holy shizz this deck. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Was stuck at Rank 13 for a couple weeks and this deck helped me get to Rank 7 over the past 2 days. Feels good man. I'm currently 52-35 with a 60% win rate. I also don't have Lich King so I tried your suggestion of Bonemare. After 87 games I think I'm going to replace Bonemare with Frost Elemental and see how that goes. People aren't expecting Druid to be able to freeze their minions so I'm enjoying that aspect of this deck entirely way too much.
Worst matchups for me have been Pallys and other Druids. Best matchups have been Priest, Hunter, and Mage, in that order. Not a single person has been playing Shaman or Warrior so I have zero stats for them. I need to learn better strategy against Cube Lock and that Antonidas + 4x Sorc Apprentice + Infinite free Fireball Mage.
Thanks again for sharing this deck!
The problem come when you get in your hand both Ultimate Infestation....
You can still play Ultimate Infestation from your hand and get benefit from it, even though it's not ideal.
This deck is fun. I wasn't feeling the normal spiteful druid.
