FRIDAY WILD FUN
Greetings ladies and gentlemens. My name is FirePaladin and I’m mostly Wild player. I have big experience with a lot of card games but I stick to Hearthstone where I not only play for fun, but also hit the highest ranks multiple times with a multiple deck archetypes. However, that doesn’t matter because the spirit of the decks that I’m gonna post on Hearthpwn on Friday Wild Fun series is FUN. These decks can sometimes be Tier 2,but can be sometimes Tier 5. It doesn’t matter. The point of playing them is to having fun and to create an interesting gameplay for you. It is up to you where you want to play this ridiculous meme whether in Ranked or Casual. They are here to remind you that hearthstone is not only about competitive ranked play and grinding for the packs and ranks). If you enjoyed the deck, don’t be shy and give it and upvote and share, while its morally supports me to do more of this stuff due to the fact that I will get a positive feedback.
Today I wanna introduce you to a very fun archetype of the Rogue that appeared not so long time ago. It was archetype of Rogue build by a Wild Hearthstone player called Dane. We are talking here about Big Rogue. I won’t post his version of Rogue but rather post mine( I will link his video tho), because we have different builds and our decks plays slightly differently.
- Mulligan:
Either Mad Scientist, Backstab, Shiv for countering the early aggression.
Or Highrolly minions likeBarnes,Kobold Illusionist andMad Scientist + some card draw
- General info:
Basically the fun part of this deck is to cheat out your powerfull huuge monsters ASAP. It can be archieved trough Barnes,or Kobold Ilussionist that pulls either some value 8 drop or Silver Vanguard. However, the fun part of this deck is also that it can flood the board really, really a lot of times. And even after that you can play double Shadowstep on your N'Zoth, the Corruptor for flooding board even 3 more times at least. And if they kill your Nzoth with Sonya on board, then even more. This deck is the most fun deck that can be played among all Big Decks because it creates such a huuge vertisality thanks to cards like Sonya Shadowdancer,Spiritsinger Umbra and Baron Rivendare. I’m not gonna write a lot about these decks gameplay because I don’t want to ruin your exploration of the deck. Figure it out by yourself. That’s the fun part too). Althrough I can surely give you a sneak peek. 1/1 Silver Vanguard on turn 4 thanks to Kobold Illusionist on turn 3 with coin + Baron Rivendare that pulls The Lich King and Kel’Thuzadmorally destroys even a Cubelock xDDD
- How viable is this deck?
Suprisingly, I would consider the Big Rogue to sit at the bottom of Tier 2 due to the fact that it’s really successful highroll deck. The biggest weakness of this deck is aggro due to the fact that only Taunt and Heal that we are running is in the form of The Lich King and his DK healing card.
- Gameplay
Thank you Darkseeker Hearthstone not only for playing the deck and making video about it,but also for making Wild content. If you want to see more Wild content, definitely subscribe to him)
That’s all from me on this first episode of Friday Wild Fun. Check the deck out, leave a comment and hopefully and upvote. I will see you next week)
P.S. Here is Dane’s version)
This deck is straight up awesome! Didn't have that much fun in HS in a long time!!
Never expected this to work out that great either :D
15-3 right now
Yeah this deck is really nuts sometimes :D What I really like about it is its diversity. Sometimes you can have 3 1/1 baby Ragnaroses on the board and sometimes you have board full of Kelthu'Zads or Lich Kings xD. Thank you for your feedback)
I don't have sonya but still it was 14:4 winstreak, thanks!
You're welcome :D. What did you add instead of Sonya?
Just simple eviscerate. I also don't have Sneed, so i replaced him with Gruul or Chromaggus (not sure who is better).
Anyway, I had HILARIOUS fun with these combos, if you have Kel'thusad in hand and he is summoning 1/1 non-stop no matter what opponent clears, this is just insane. I also stealed 2 8/8 golems with 1/1 copy of Sylvana and Baron rinvendare, dude just conceded.
That is exactly the power of highroll deck, it just can get out of control really quickly :D If you're not sure what is better, I can easily tell that Chromaggus. Because he has soft taunt and can give you waay more value than Gruul :D Im really glad that you had fun while laddering) Thank you for commenting on my build
I made a short video :-)
Thank you a lot. Like really a lot) You've made a good job on explaining how the deck works and some synergies. Also that highlight is hilarious. I almost felt sorry for poor Warrior xD After watching a few videos I can tell that you're an experienced player and your content is good. Keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words. I am just a casual player who has fun with wild mode. If you come up with any other interesting decks which make KT viable, I would be interested :-)
I had a couple of ideas with Mage and Priest (and not only a Big Priest version) but for now they are too hard to pull off consinstently. After I make them at least semiviable I will let you know for sure)
-2 Shiv, -2 Sudden Betrayal, +2 Antique Healbot, +2 Evasion.
Maybe you didn't have this issue, but I kept running into burn mages that were just wrecking me by turn 7 or 8. If this deck doesn't hit early with the combos, it's just a sitting duck. Otherwise I enjoyed it greatly. Thanks. :)
The aggro decks are issue of all highroll decks.) You surely can tech some cards against them but it will make your other matchups worse. Also, I do not recomendt cutting the Betrayals due to the fact that its really good card in some situations and a better Misdirection. I would still put them instead of either 2 Evasions or 1 Healbot and 1 Evasion
Thanks for the feedback) Yeah I kinda see Gang Ups adding more to the fun part. But at the same time it makes deck more inconsistent and on early turns it will be just a death draw.
I don't play much Rogue. But then I saw Dane's deck and found your deck too. I just tried your deck and it's the most fun I have had in Hearthstone for quite some time. I ended up with a board full of KTs. I want to feature your deck in a Youtube video (if that's ok with you). I hope to publish in time for next weekend. Thanks for the deck and thanks for the very detailed guide :-)
Hi) It would be absolutely fantastic if you would feature this deck in your vid. Im ok with that) Im really glad you liked the deck and that it brought you some wonderfull games and board full of Kel' Thuzads)
ive been playing a version of this deck for awhile with a good winrate another deck you might want to take a look at is fatigue warrior alot of fun personaly i think the Shadowstep for N'Zoth, the Corruptor is abit to slow Plated Beetle might be better Sludge Belcher also works wonders
You dont neccesarilly need to save Shadowstep for Nzoth. You can jam Sonya on the board, trade your minions and then shadoswtep her back. Shadowstep has multiple uses. And while I agree that Beetle and Belcher are good cards,it would lead towards to more deahtrattle Rogue build and not a Big Rogue. Thats why I did'nt included them.) Also I know about some fatique warriors varriations dont worry) I even know about Death Mans Hand Juggernaut varriations :D
