Kiwii made a run with the deck, taking it from rank 11 to 1.
I did that little introduction hope you guys liked it :D (to the top floor please)
This deck feels so incredibly average. The comments refer to it as an aggro deck but in practice it's more of a midrange deck with decent synergies. The downside is your early game is composed of playing "stuff" and interacting through trades, though in practice most of your early game is decent late too (Argent Squire aside). It doesn't do anything unfair or powerful; having good Knife Jugglers is decent and you can do some fun things with Steward of Darkshire but only once you've gotten to the stage where you have mana to play multiple cards in one turn. It just feels like a deck that had access to Muster for Battle then lost it, but you're continuing to play the deck anyway.
I went 4/6 across 10 games, two of which were games I was destined to lose because RNG and the other four losses were just down to my opponents doing way more powerful things I was. The games I won were almost universally because my opponent didn't give the deck any credit and left a couple of Recruits alive when there was no need to, which feels bad. I want to play powerful cards or have a set goal that basically says "you win the game" but this deck doesn't have any of that.
Notably, when you play the deck "right" (playing on curve, CQC for board state) then you end up losing to better draws the majority of the time. Playing off curve and waiting on your Lost in the Jungle effects tends to get better results.
TLDR: 6/10, wouldn't be excited to play again.
I think you're playing the deck wrong, it's very powerful and I"m currently on a 7 win streak and I'm rank 1, two stars away from legend.
I would genuinely appreciate a replay or two to show how you play the deck. I find it struggles to deal with just about any deck that curves out.
Just to add to the above: I watched the video at the top of the article. The two full games displayed were against a Secret Mage who was either bad (or drew poorly) and against a Warlock where he got to cast Divine Favor to draw 7 cards, which is *usually* good enough to win against any deck. I'm looking more for examples of tight play or against decks that are actually succeeding in whatever their plan is.
I completely agree with you, this deck is average or I'm really unlucky with this.
Nice one. :) Thanks.
This was great, taking me up to 9, but now I'm getting my ass kicked by secrets/control mage and jade druid, and unfortunately, that's mostly what I'm seeing. Murloc Paldin tends to beat me too. Any tips?
And Big Priest just kicked my ass too. Back to 10 I go.
Jade druid and Control Warlock are supposed to beat it, but everything else is supposed to lose to it.
I can't for the love of god understand how you beat secret mages with this either.
Counter spell destroys me :(
At this rank you could probably just play murloc paladin. I went from 12 to 5 easily 39-15 (72%wr) then you should try this deck but anyway you can have at least 60%wr if you trust the data.
You probably need more practice and don't play the deck optimally (when to trade, when to face, etc) or you get games with bad draws. My last game I lost was because I'm didn't get any 1-2-3 drops until turn 6-7 and the game was unwinnable at that point.
Secret mage can't out tempo dude/murloc pally. Worst matchup is control warlock with the right draws.
how about playing Millhouse Manastorm for Call to Arms synergy?
I think the general idea is that you'd rather not play cards you don't want to draw. It's like Patches, but if you played Patches you at least get a 1/1, you don't just get a dude then die instantly to zero-mana Ultimate Infestations. It's not a bad line of thought though.
Voidlord rekt this deck completly.
This deck is absolutely fantastic. I have been playing it on stream for the past few days, and it has been such a great climb, I had to share it with you guys. I started at around rank 11, and made my way up to rank 1 (did lose a few games after I recorded) and I have been extremely satisfied with the results I have gotten from this. Overall, the deck for me has a WR of about 72.2% which is fantastic!
I know I have made a video on it earlier this week, which of course was at a lower rank, but here is the update and I hope you enjoy!
I went 14-2 from rank 13 to 9 with this deck. Made slight changes though. I found that Consecration helps against the mirror and other aggro decks. They also don't see it coming.
Very good deck ! i was stucked at rank 9 with murloc paladin but when i tried this deck i reached rank 5 in 2 days :P only cubelock can be difficult the others matches is insta win :P
Any room for Bolvar in this deck?
Literally just opened up a GOLDEN SunKeeper... Looks like I know what I'm crafting =P
