Lately, many have asked me for a post-nerf zoolock list. Seeing how many people are pleading for it, I've decided to make another zoolock guide. This time around I wanted to share Muzzy's awesome list with you guys, which many people have started to adapt, given how successful it has been lately.
What makes this deck special and different from pre-nerf zoolock lists is the inclusion of the demon package instead of the traditional Keleseth, Pirates and Councilman build. This deck is nuts versus druids because of how big you can go on your minions, which is further aided by Fungalmancer - a new addition to all Zoolock lists thanks to our buddy Muzzy.
If you guys are interested in the deck, I'll soon write a deck guide. Please leave an upvote as it helps out a lot. In the meantime, feel free to ask any questions about the deck in the comments section!

As usual, our good friend Kiwiinbacon and Kadakk have made a video on the deck, spotlighting its power and place within the current meta. They make some great plays and explain every play they make, so make sure to watch the videos. +20 upvotes= Mulligans and Card replacements.
Card Replacements:
Bloodreaver Gul'dan: Lich King > Spellbreaker > Hungry Crab
Malchezaar's Imp: Hungry Crab, versus murlocadin/ Spellbreaker, versus control and cube warlocks.
Mulligans:
VS. Control:
NEVER KEEP: 5 DROPS, Saronite Chaingang and Bloodreaver Gul'dan in opening hand.
With the Coin: 2x 1 drops + Vulgar Homunculus, 1 mana/2 mana demon with potion and/or demonfire, Darkshire Councilman. Never keep Blood Imp unless with another 1 mana or 2 mana demon.
Going first: 1 drops, 1 mana demon + demonfire, Vulgar Homunculus + Bloodfury Potion. Generally, you're trying to look for a hand that curves and synergises well.
Exceptions: You can consider tossing Librarian away against Mages, Rogues and Paladins; only keep Blood Imp with other 1 drops AND if it curves out well.
+40 upvotes= Matchups and tech choices
Favourable vs: All rogues, druids, hunters, shamans, warriors and mirrors.
Unfavorable vs: Mage, Paladin, Priest and control warlocks.
Bloodreaver Gul'dan: Instant win 90% of the time once you get to play it. Insanely good vs control.
Mortal Coil: Really versatile card. Can be used to cycle vs aggro.
Fungalmancer: Post-nerf bonemare.
Saronite Chaingang: Compliments fungalmancer and is really good against aggro.
+60= Plays
Against control, try to not discard Gul'dan and play around their board clears.
Against aggro, try to make as many value trades as possible and don't bother with not discarding Gul'dan, in most cases.
You generally want to spread your buffs as evenly as possible, so that you don't lose to hard removal or a silence effect.
I play a version with Lich king in place of guldan (because I'm fu@@ing poor) but I think thet it could be even more effective in most of the matchup.
What about Keleseth ?
sure you do
sure you do. you must be rank 1 legend then
i just never get to play guldan, i either get stomped by decks that rape me or i win so fast i never get to turn 10. should i just replace guldan with spellbreaker ?
It was he same for me so I tried to trade a bit more instead of just going face, and now I get to play guldan sometimes. The problem is that the demons get all wiped the following turn, just every time.
Against pally, I have used it a few times. They out aggro us, so you play like you're control get Gul'dan and it's game over!
Dragon Priest mops up this deck 10/10 times. Which is a lot of the meta above legendary sooooo... yeah
So this is the deck that made mage great again?
Can anyone comment on the importance of that single Mortal Coil, compared to a Spellbreaker or Acidic Swamp Ooze for exemple?
The deck is too slow without it. It counts as a cycle and card draw. It gets demons out faster and minions too. Keeps mana spent on curve. Early game card could put you ahead on turn 1, turn 2, etc.
Hey guys! I have been playing a lot of zoo lately in my grind to legend so if you are interested to see legend player piloting this deck with explaining everything possible check my video out :) Also there is a giveaway for you guys more info in the description :) Hope you can enjoy the video showcase.
this deck is really crap, i was 50/50 now i'm lower than 50/50 and get back to rank 15 ...
The deck is fine, you are just bad and you need skills...I've managed to go for the first time to rank 8 and i did it with this deck, when i started i was rank 18...
think this deck is not the best one ...
i'm at Something like 50/50
The deck is very good at 5-1 ranks, but at least 1 Spellbreaker is a must! Most of the time you go face directly, trading only major threats. Consider Leeroy Jenkins also.
Bringing back zoolock
Played a couple games with 2 different versions, one with and one without Bloodreaver Gul'dan on 2 different accounts, one EU, one NA, and it went pretty well on both. Although I do agree with some commenters that Spellbreaker is necessary. There are just too many important targets around to not include it.
I have to admit I did not expect Fungalmancer to be any good, but it's arguably better than Argus in a deck that already has a fair amount of taunts, and the impact it has is pretty real. And I really like the Blood Imp. It highlights the power of Stealth when there are enough buffs, especially with a card like Bloodfury Potion.
Certainly a fun and flavorful variation of the typical Zoo-style. And best of all, it's dirt cheap (yet weaker) if you leave out Bloodreaver.
Is 2 Vulgar Homunculus and 2 Demonfire worth replacing Prince Keleseth?
