Hi guys! So I recently created this Steal Priest deck just for fun, and I ended up finding a TON of success with it. After a bit of tweaking, I found myself climbing to rank 5 early in the season with a winrate over 60%. Its a blast to play and works like a charm.
Asmodai took this deck from rank 200 to 17 legend as well!
Edit: Hit rank 6 legend!!!

Edit- I just hit legend with it on 2/10/18 and I climbed from bottom of rank 2 to legend with a 10-2 record!
Edit: Rank 6!
Matchups
Cubelock/Control Lock- Control Lock is one of the easiest matchups if not the easiest. My winrate against it is well over 80%. Once you steal both of their Voidlord, you basically win the game. They can't resummon anything with their Bloodreaver Gul'dan and N'zoth the corrupter. Here are the main ways to steal a Voidlord:
-Twilight Acolyte/Pint-Size Potion + Cabal Shadow Priest
-Twilight Acolyte/Pint-Size Potion + Potion of Madness + Shadow word pain (or some card that kills the minion on your side. I have even used a stolen Carnivorous Cube or Dark Pact to do so :D)
Cubelock is harder to beat due to Mountain Giant and Doomguard. For this matchup, you need to be smart and steal the right minions depending on the current situation. Use your resources wisely.
Aggro Decks- This deck seems to beat aggro decks most of the time, thanks to Duskbreaker and the Pint-Size Potion + Shadow Word: Horror combo. Potion of Madness can also be very handy. Don't be afraid to steal 2 attack or less minions or play Twilight Acolyte for board. You just need to play defensively to win.
Tempo Mage- Tempo mage seems to be one of the harder matchups, but you are still slightly favored. If they play Aluneth early it is incredibly hard to win. Be careful of burn and try to minimize the face damage you take early game as much as you can. Their chip damage just gets you closer to burn range. Once you gain board and stabilize it becomes easy to win as long as your health is not too low.
Combo Dragon Priest- I actually usually win this matchup. Use your resources wisely and try to remove any high health minions they have. Stealing a high health Twilight Drake has always been huge for me. From that point, I have board and I can am usually able to continue removing his minions while developing my own. Its easy to win this way because their deck is so reliant on having minions on board.
Spiteful Priest- This matchup is really easy thanks to the fact that their only spells are Mind Control and Free From Amber. the pint-size horror combo and stealing their dragons seem to work really well against them. As with Combo Dragon Priest, once you gain board it is very easy to win. It is incredibly hard for them to clear your board and you can just develop minions while removing theirs.
KiwiiNBacon made a really cool showcase video, check it out here!
Hope you enjoy the deck! Mulligan Guide in progress
This deck is crazy. Nice to play something different.
Cool deck, fun to see something new.
Going to test it out now, hopefully it is as strong as it appears interesting.
btw is jade druid just a straight up concede? I cant see how you could beat that deck with no offensive pressure or way to slop their jades building.
Somehow I actually have beaten jade drudis even after getting to fatigue, when they have only jade idols in deck. I seem to win by maintaining board control late game and then smorcing. Ysera is also really helpful in this matchup
Nice, well done.
I have played a few games with your deck. The one card that I haven't been able to use well is the Cleric. without circle of healing or any way to damage minions I don't get many opportunities to draw from it. I'm not sure what would work better though, trying out a couple of things.
I was thinking the same, I might replace the clerics
Thoughtsteal might be ok, or if you want to be a little bit greedy depending on the Meta a Mind Control might be ok as well.
I replaced a shadow visions with a fairie Dragon, additional dragon synergy and an early minion which can stick.
You could try adding another primordial drake or shadow word horror
I use DK, works well!
any replacement for Ysera?
Elise I think would be nice. Great vallue
It works great against Cubelock from my current testing, but Secretmage and Kingsbane rogue just rolls over this and thats what im currently facing at rank 15 and the fact that Blizzards Matchmaker-algorithm is making it alot harder giving me counter after counter
This deck is great! Best thing with it, is to steal the warlocks cube
This deck is a joke...
Zero chances against Cube/Secret Mage....
Against Mage yes, against warlock u can just steal his cube with pint size/cabal priest
Would Archbishop Benedictus be good in this deck? I love Thief Priest and done some decks myself in the past, but I haven't had success lately.
I haven't used this deck, but it came up twice last night on ladder against my Control Mage and there was absolutely nothing I could do to beat it. It was quite refreshing to come up against something different, which I haven't seen since October-ish. So I'll upvote.
