Some fancy roleplay in the spoiler:
Naturalize the Nightmare
N'Zoth, the Corruptor has penetrated in the Emerald Dream, ravaging and befouling it, reviving the Nightmare!
Our Shan'do, in his desperation, has turned into Malfurion the Pestilent, calling upon the very powers of Fall in order to contain the Nightmare. He is risking to corrupt the balance between Life and Death, against the madness of the Old God.
But there comes Lunara! She will know which way to choose in the Branching Paths of the Nightmare.
Grove Tenders and Coldlight Oracles of immense wisdom sided with her, and together, they will know how to Naturalize the Emerald Dream, once more.
NEW Game Plan
- Taunt, taunt, taunt.
- play/summon Astral Tiger.
- play Hadronox (silence is not a big deal if your health is safe. however, Polymorph destroys your lategame strategy)
- play Da Undatakah (kill it yourself if necessary, saving a Naturalize or upgraded Lesser Jasper Spellstone)
- enjoy Wall of the Dead: Infinity every time da undatakah dies.
Obsolete stuff below, will recycle later.
This is at its core a Control deck. Unlike Mill Rogue, this Fatigue/Mill Druid is favoured against Aggro, while it needs careful planning for Midrange and Combo decks. You have tools for nearly any situation, but you need to use them wisely.
Armor power helps a lot in either outlasting Aggro, or making you just too tough for slower decks to kill.
As for any other Control deck, the key is to ALWAYS know your opponent: being able to foresee what is available to them is game-winning, for you can optimise your resources into maximum value. Typical example is knowing when to use Doomsayer, which can be either used as pseudo-taunt against many pings, or to buy full turns against empty boards in the middle of the game.
Against any: armor up and taunt (but since your cards are versatile, always proceed wisely, timing is fundamental).
Against Aggro: Hero power during first turns. Grove Tender for mana. Taunt up. Never draw, unless absolutely necessary. They will eventually run out of steam, while you're safe and can recover with more Armor.
Against any decks that tend to draw a lot, such as Exodia Mage, non-Zoo Warlock, Priests, etc: try to hide your Mill power, and when they are at full hand, go hard with Naturalize, Grove Tender and Coldlight Oracle: hopefully you burn some of their key cards and seal the game.
Sylvanas Windrunner can be comboed with upgraded Lesser Jasper Spellstone or even Naturalize to steal a Big minion.
Try to Hadronox before N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
What do you think? Is Hadronox worth crafting now? Or it's better to wait for rotation and collect more dust for next expansion?
If you plan to play Standard, just wait and save dust.
And even if you play Wild, it's not a good investment right now.
Unless your main objective in the game is experimenting with Druid.
hi again does forest guide have no place here its great to fatgue?
I wish.
Problem with Guide is that it has awful stats, and its effect cannot be controlled (end of turn), so that it cannot be used for fishing for immediate solutions (as it is the case for Oracle and Tender, who is also highly versatile)
You can surely use it for improved Fatigue against slow decks. Just know that it could be useless or even toxic against fast decks.
Ty for reply:)
first fatgue druid i played that goes to fatgue so +1 from me :D
Thank you! :)
You need to replace Wrath with Spellstone
Yup, you're right! I updated the list, thanks.
Lesser Jasper Spellstone is not fully reliable for upgrade, but it is better than wrath in average, simply because in this deck you can usually wait to remove 3hp minions (which typically come from Aggro) with armor up, and use efficient aoe or trade later.
Today i play two games against Cubelock with similar deck (Control's mill druid).
It was so satisfying to beat those OP warlocks by fatique <3
highest rank?
feelings on jasper spellstone and brann bronzebeard?
You can replace Wrath with Jasper, if you like, just keep in mind that upgrading Jasper is not so easy in this deck, for you should draw cards only when strictly necessary, and armor-Jasper handbuff won't be as recurring as expected.
Brann can be comboed only with Oracle here, and typically just once. Problem is you cannot afford such a combo very often, and out of combo Brann is a dead card. If you want to mimic Rogue, Oracle + Naturalize is the way to go.
And Hadronox???
Sadly I don't own it, so I can't be completely sure of how good it is in this non-ramping deck.
But as you can see in the last sentence of the guide, I reccommend it as a valid substitution, either of Sylvanas Windrunner, or, if you prefer, of 1x Spreading Plague / 1x Starfall (2x is often overkill).
How much success have u had with this deck? I’m about to give it a try. I love new and unique wild decks. Only deck I see causing a major problem is big priest and naga, which case u need poison seeds more than ever. Also, just for deck ideas, if most of the games are going to fatigue, subbing in 1 jade idol would work as well just to stop u from fatiguing as well as setting up another win condition?
Indeed, as you mentioned, the biggest weakness of the deck is a sudden big setup, against which you can fend off a bit, waiting to find answers, but margin is narrow.
So far i had great success against Token/Aggro, Freeze Mage, Secret Mage.
I also never had to deal with Fatigue, but i can see an Idol being thrown there. However, i think it is too slow to become a threat.
I wish i could test Malorne in that role.
Just tried it with idol, it’s way too slow lol and I also don’t think this is a good deck at the rank I’m at in wild (21), someone randomly played archbishop and was a perfect counter to my entire deck lol I’m going to try it with the card u suggested. I have dust to spare
Well, Archbishop was really unlucky, and unlikely as well, in average ladder.
Note that it's not the only vulnerability of this deck, ofc, but if you're encountering a fair number of Aggro or decks with limited amount of (burst) damage in general, this one should be able to deal with them pretty easy.
If instead you meet many Giants or strong Midrange decks in general, better try with some other archetype.
Good luck with laddering.
Btw, it is funny to see the downvoters, periodicallybut subtly coming here, on any favourable comment, especially the downvotes of who clearly does not understand how this deck works.
It's always a pleasure to share lists in this site...
