Come in and Warm your Frozen Boots by the Fire!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gunnolf, and I am originally from the Land Down Under a.k.a. Australia. I am an avid gamer that has acquired a real passion for card games, which originated from my humble beginnings as a Yu-Gi-Oh collector and eventually grew from my dabbling in Cardfight Vanguard and Buddyfight, until we reached the game we know as Hearthstone.
I've played Hearthstone since the days of classic, with multiple accounts on both EU and NA servers. Despite having reached the Rank of Legend and my own personal mentality of equating 'having fun' with 'winning', I am not really a fan of meta power-grinding & net-decking, not that there is anything wrong with that. Therefore, I enjoy thinking about new, cool and fun deck ideas that push boundaries while also allowing you to win and those are what I want to share with you guys every-time I post a decklist.
I have presently become a contributing writer to WILDHS and will be posting articles there on a semi-regular basis, regarding deck-archetypes the status of the meta as well as how to get the most fun out of this game even if you aren't a big spender. If any of this sounds interesting, then I highly recommend that you check out of the website, as the writers and the owner himself are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet with great in-game knowledge (link to be website can be found HERE). You can also follow me on Twitter for latest updates.
If you genuinely like my content and would like to see me produce more of it, then please consider supporting me on Patreon. This is by no means necessary but it will definitely help me out in the long run. Thanks for Reading ^^
Deck Introduction
Greetings Hearthstoners and welcome back for another look at wild. The list we will be looking at today is an OTK style deck for the priest class. However, unlike the conventional priest lists that run the Divine Spirit & Inner Fire Combo the present one aims to defeat your opponent through Negative Healing, i.e. through the effects of cards like Auchenai Soulpriest and Embrace the Shadows that warp healing into damage. Presently most of the cards are contained within the standard format. However, wild can offer something to the deck that standard can't: a wide range of powerful boardclears which you can tech into the deck to suit the meta.
Please note moving forward that although this a decent deck, it is not wildly competitive. So using it to climb ladder after rank 10 is not advised. Still you can have fun trying and bask in your opponent's dumbfound expression as you otk them seemingly out of nowhere.
What is the Combo?
This deck utilises the new card printed in Kobolds & Catacombs Twilight's Call, to summon back a series of Corrupted Healbots which if killed while a negative healing aura (see Auchenai Soulpriest & Embrace the Shadow) is in effect will hit your opponent for a grand total of 32 damage.
Therefore, assuming two Corrupted Healbots have died during the game, the first step of the combo will look like this:
-Twilight's Call (3 mana) + Twilight's Call (3 mana) -> summon back 4 1/1 Corrupted Healbots
After this initial step, how you kill the 1/1 minions is entirely up to you. One of the main reasons this kind of deck is not a complete meme and rather a semi-competitive combo deck is due to the combo versatility. Essentially, after you cast both Twilight's Calls, you have 4 mana left. As such you can execute the combo in the following ways:
-Auchenai Soulpriest (4 mana) + Circle of Healing (0 mana)
-Embrace the Shadow (2 mana) + Circle of Healing (0 mana) This one will allow you to fit in an extra ping with your hero power essentially boosting your damage to 34.
-Embrace the Shadow (2 mana) + Spirit Lash (2 mana)
-Wild Pyromancer (2 mana) + Embrace the Shadow (2 mana)
Note that at times you won't need the full damage to kill your opponent. If only one Corrupted Healbot has died and they are at 24 life or below you can still kill them very easily. You just need to do the following sequence exactly:
-Twilight's Call (ressurect one) (3 mana) -> Wild Pyromancer (2 mana -> Embrace the Shadow (2 mana) -> Twilight's Call (3 mana)
This is not a super obvious line of play. It took me a couple of games to figure out the sequencing. I just thought I would point it out to showcase the deck's abilities. I hope it helped! ^^
Card Choices Explained
Below you'll find reasoning as to why certain cards were included in the present list.
a) Mirage Caller: Primarily used to summon additional Corrupted Healbots thus limiting the need to draw and play both. Also has versatility in creating additional clerics or acolytes to boost draw towards the combo.
b)Greater Healing Potion: Some healing incase our hp gets too low. Might not be relevant in a control meta but it helps against aggro. As such it could be replaced by Lyra the Sunshard.
Flex(ible) Slots
I have playtested this deck an obscene amount of times and based on my experience, I have concluded that the deck's absolute core cards account for about a third of the list. Having said that, I believe my version to be fairly optimised but I would be remiss if I did not divulge the following points of information:
Absolute Core Cards
These cannot be subbed out and are must includes in order to keep the deck as competitively viable as possible.
2x Corrupted Healbot
2x Twilight's Call
2x Embrace the Shadow
2x Auchenai Soulpriest
2x Shadow Visions
2x Circle of Healing
You can play around with the rest of the list and try new things as you see fit. Perhaps, the easiest cards to change and swap around are the more expensive forms of removal i.e. Shadow Word: Death, Lightbomb, Psychic Scream, Dragonfire Potion and Excavated Evil. You can choose which ones to include based on the metagame.
Alternative Deckbuilders
After popular demand and feedback I decided to include the option of building the deck in a way that allows for significantly more combo damage, essentially doubling it from 32 to 64 damage. The main downside is the fact that the deck becomes slower so getting the combo off consistently might be an issue.
-2x Novice Engineer / +1x Emperor Thaurissan & +1x Baron Rivendare or +1x Spiritsinger Umbra
Keep in mind that you will need an Emperor Thaurissan discount on 2 combo pieces (any two from x2 Twilight's Call, x1 Baron Rivendare, x1 Embrace the Shadow) if you saved a Circle of Healing or on ALL 4 if you required a 2 mana activator like Wild Pyromancer or Spirit Lash.
On a final note please keep in mind that you can sub out cards of your choice that are not listed in the Core Cards section of this guide.
Mini Guide & Tips
You almost always want to keep Corrupted Healbot in your opening hand. Sadly there is the chance that both copies will be in your bottom 5 cards. If that happens there is not much you can do to win.
Against aggro, Circle of Healing + Embrace the Shadow is a great way to get rid of their board so you should consider keeping that in your opening hand.
Do NOT shadow visions randomly. Know what you want to find before doing so. Wasting visions will make your games so much harder.
If you have Corrupted Healbot and mirage caller in hand, consider waiting until turn 8 to play both together thus guaranteeing you a double summon and an easy kill on one healbot.
Deck's weaknesses
This deck is a lot like the old version of Freeze Mage. There is limited burst and as a result you get completely blown out of the water by excessive armor gain as well as cards like Ice Block. Sadly you can't win them all but going into such matches, do your best to get in some chip damage with minions and as a result you may just win the unfavorable match-up.
Want to get to Legend?
Do you want to get to Legend but hate the feel of curvestone, Highroll and aggressive decks? Do combo lists cater to your style of play? Well if yes, then do not fear for I have the perfect combo deck that should help you get to Legend. I am talking about the one and only Aviana-Kun Malygos Druid. As well a full deck description and guide is provided for your reading pleasure. Enjoy and good luck climbing! ^^

Author's Notes
I enjoy deck-building a multitude of interesting decks that are both entertaining and Legend viable (with some odd Free-to-Play lists mixed in). So if you like this deck (or anyone of my other ones) consider leaving a thumbs up, as it really helps in the long run! :)
Thank you guys for all your support and if you have any suggestions, let me know.
I don't have a second copy of Shadow Visions and Lightbomb so I thought the deck would be less viable without them, but usually a second copy of those cards isn't needed in my experience. That enabled me to use Emperor Thaurissan and Baron Rivendare without swapping out the Novice Engineers. Baron Rivendare has a similar effect to Twilight's Call in this deck, so it's almost like a third copy of the card. It costs one mana more, but it does more damage if you have 3 or more Corrupted Healbots on your board (or 2 on the board and 1 dead). Keeping the Novice Engineers allows me to draw answers/combo pieces faster. Emperor Thaurissan allows me to play the OTK faster if I have all the pieces. So I think using one copy of Shadow Visions instead of two is still completely viable if you are substituting it with something of equal value. I'm more concerned about not having a second Lightbomb, but most of the time I get by either by only needing one, using Shadow Visions to make another copy of it or just by using Circle of Healing as damage.
Loving this deck!
Wow thank you for the insightful observations and for playing the deck. I'm super happy it's been working out for you! :)
Got to suck being so unlucky in the match-ups :(
How do you reliably kill two healbots? Literally every game, I can only find/kill one. Do you have to wait until turn 8 to pull this off at all? Every single time I play it, my opponent makes it a priority to kill it. I've played for the last two hours and have never been able to copy the healbot even once. From where I'm standing, this deck has a 1/15 w/l ratio. I'm clearly doing something fundamentally wrong, but can't figure out what.
You usually kill them the conventional way by playing them and using their body to trade off with opposing minions. That is unless you can get a Mirage Caller off. Unfortunately, as stated in the guide the deck does suffer from draw rng. At the very least if only one is dead you can still deal 24 damage. ^
I was afraid of that. I've actually had slightly better luck with a soulstone variant with extra resurrects. If any of those hit the first bot, it's a lot easier.
Beyond that, all Druid matchups are unwinnable thanks to all the new armor mechanics. Mages with ice block are equally problematic. I've cleared Paladin boards half a dozen times and still lost before I could get the combo; thanks Anyfin. Even Control Warlock, which this should be great against, is a bad matchup thanks to infinite Mal'ganis.
I might fiddle with it a bit more, but I'll probably go back to my Spiteful deck. I was just looking for something to tinker with at the Rank 10 floor. :)
Yeah unfortunately it's not your best deck for climbing but if we ever get some more cheap deathrattle rez effects we can always go back to Zombie Chow who is infinitely easier to kill! :p
Thanks for trying the deck out though! ^^
Baron Rivendare and Zombie Chow are highly recommended
While I would run Baron Rivendare for the extra burst potential. I would have to disagree on Zombie Chow. It dilutes the deathrattle pool so you get significantly less damage! :/
Started with a nice 0-5. Can't seem to avoid 3 control warriors, oil rogue, and malygos shaman which all shit me. Seems like a good deck in a different meta but I can't see it working as of now. I'll keep experimenting though
Well that's very unfortunate to have so many negative match-ups in a row. Thank you for sticking with it though. ^^
Interesting deck! But wouldn't Emperor Thaurissan and Baron Rivendare allows this deck to win against high armor control decks?
You most certainly can as that would push the maximum amount of damage dealt from 34 to 64. I did not make those inclusions however as I thought they would be too slow in an already clunky deck.
Additionally you would need an Emperor Thaurissan discount on 2 combo pieces (any two from x2 Twilight's Call, x1 Baron Rivendare, x1 Embrace the Shadow) if you saved a Circle of Healing or on all 4 if you required a 2 mana activator like Wild Pyromancer or Spirit Lash.
I'll definitely try to work these suggestions in so that people have the ability to kill people in a heavy control meta but at the moment 32-34 damage is usually plenty.
Thank you for reading! ^^
Any thoughts on Shadowreaper Anduin, Awaken the Makers, and Barnes?
Also, I suppose Lightbomb can be replaced by either Dragonfire Potion or Psychic Scream for Standard?
Shadowreaper Anduin can definitely be teched in, perhaps by getting rid of Greater Healing Potion or Shadow Word: Death.
Awaken the Makers has no place in this deck, even with the resummons you only get 6 deathrattles, at best 7 if you get a summon off of mirage caller. Typically when you complete the quest you're killing your opponent so you don't need it.
Don't like Barnes as the deck runs enough minions to make him really incosistent.
You can definitely play this in standard. Fewer board-clear options but it's still very much feasible ^^
What are your thoughts of shadowreaper anduin in this deck?
He's not necessary but you can definitely fit him in. Most obvious slots to slide him in would be instead of Greater Healing Potion or Shadow Word: Death.
Hope this helped! ^^
I love they way you out so much time and thought behind this post. You went over and beyond taking your time to put a lot of detail into this. That is awesome!
Just my way of giving back to the community! Thank you for the support! ^^
