Hearthpwn

I just crafted the stuff needed (two rares) to start playing Mage for the first time outside of fighting the Innkeeper! Had a Legend player who I encountered in a Collegiate Tournament tell me I needed to understand this hero better to become a better player, so here I am.

Who wants to give a brand new Mage player some crucial tips/advice on how to play something like this? Been playin HS since May and have only reached Rank 7!

This deck is great!

I just played for 2 days like 40 matches from 19 to 9. Got 70ish% winrate. I just subbed aluneth(probably core item, i know) for cult master. It looks weird but did wonders for me. I don't have enough dust to craft it and this is the only deck i play. 

Really awesome deck. But i loose a lot for Priest when i make a simple make by not controlling the board :(

It burns even faster switching an Arcane Intellect with a Arcane Giant ;)

Try to replace 1 Arcane Intellect and 1 Firelands Portal for 1 Ice Block and 1 Potion of Polymorph. Thats more safe and close.

Ice Block just delays the inevitable and rarely wins you the game. Potion of Polymorph isn't a good enough card to replace a 5 Damage and summon 5 minion.

Is it best to play Man Wyrm on turn 1 and use coin to play some early spells or wait until turn 4/5 to play him?

always depends on the spell.

turn 1 mana wyrm, then turn 2 coin into 3-mana spell is fine. but maybe frostbolting the face only to gain 1 attack with your wyrm doesnt help very much.

but you want to establish your wyrm as early as possible, but use your spells in early game to remove minions

this deck sucks with so much aggro on the ladder right now. If you dont curve perfectly in your 1-3 cost minions perfects you get stomped out by hunter and by warlock. I would play this deck atm

What about including Ice Block in this deck? It can give an extra turn to draw some more burn.

A great deck to rank up fast! For some bigger surprises I can recommend to shuffle the secrets a bit (Potion of Polymorph can be fun e.g.). <3

 Tested 1 copy of Potion of Polymorph and got hilarious results. So many cubelock/controlock play Lackey into it and watch them emote like a madman. :) It also combos with Explosive Runes if you play the potion first

Hi guys, I don't own Medivh's valet and I need to spend 2500 dust to craft this deck. I currently have 5000 dust from the nerfs and my only viable decks after nerf are miracle rogue, jade druid, and midrange hunter. Should I craft this deck? Will this deck still be playable after rotation? Thank you for your help in advance.

I dont know what people are thinking. Too many upvotes for a deck with nothing new. The winrate its the same as all (and not fits my playstyle smork spell deck).
