Hi guys!

Today I want to share my own deck that allowed me to climb quite high in constructed last two seasons. It seems like a Big Spells Mage, but actually, so many big spells appeared only last season because tempo decks are able to fill out the board with 4+ health minions very quickly.

Why do you want to check out this deck?

It has 2 cards, that I barely seen in hearthstone standard decks last year:

Drakkari Enchanter Baron Geddon

I believe you have never met these cards too last month or two. So why you should try it?

After playing a week or two against Aggro Paladins/Druids/Warlocks/Rogues with something like meta decks or secret mage, I decided that it's time to stop this. I was looking at my collection (that isn't so rich as Kripparian's) and decided that the best potential in control for me - mage. I really love mage's control things like a possibility to come back from the grave with lifesteals and ice blocks, but the problem is that until you get 9 mana cost Lich Jaina and play it, you probably will be already at 1 health. And unfortunately, there is no Reno that can give you second breath to beat aggro.

However, my eyes noticed something interesting here. Baron Geddon "At the end of your turn, deals 2 damage to all characters" - "Elemental". Drakkari Enchanter "Your end turn effects trigger twice". I thought "hmm, why not".

I added them to my deck, played one or two games. Here was some tempo rogue with 5 or 6 minions on the board, me - empty one with Lich Jaina played already and at 1 health, without a secret. I played drakkari and Baron, and pressed "End turn" next moment, I was at 26 health, and his board was cleared. GG

So, after playing over 100 games with this cards I came to the idea that fast draw and powerful clears are the most important parts of this deck. You want to start with good draws, but it's always better to keep Lich Jaina as it's a key card in the deck. After you played it, you can get almost infinite value from it.

Please rate up, and I'll add more insights on this deck. Feel free to comment it too.
