If you play mill rogue-- you are not allowed to create a wall. Early in the K&C block there was speculation about Prince Valanar, "Prince Value Four," and Tar Creeper. but... now that the meta has settled, I feel confident about truth of the following statement,

"I seem to think this is a good deck."

Our biggest lesson about the strategy of, "Mill," in K&C standard block-- Nat, the Darkfisher. This... is a, "bad," card. It proc's fifty percent of the time, unlike Coldlight Oracle, which proc's every time you play it. But... unlike Coldlight Oracle, Nat, the Darkfisher does not cause you to draw cards from your deck, Nat, the Darkfisher forces your opponent to draw cards from //their/ deck. This is bad manners! But we are evil-- we worship Valeera the Hollow and she allows us an unfair advantage creating multiple copies of any card in our hand.

(just remember, Priest... "You don't have to become evil.")

Typically, games play out with heavy board control, until you are able to, "fish," out your Coldlight Oracle. If you are lucky, you will be able to use Hallucination to create an interesting clone opportunity, otherwise, Hallucination will generate some form of board control. Until you have your Coldlight Oracle you are playing a game of board control with Backstab and Eviscerate and very conservatively Shadowblade.

tbh, Shadowblade usually gets played earlier, and then later, //hopefully/ when you are able to gain immunity for your double Coldlight Oracle. But, it is more valuable to us than Kingsbane, which is only used by puny rogues, scared of their own decks.

We are also interested in Violet Illusionist synergy, or potential, but we find that Shadowblade allows us to more aggressively control the board. I am really interested in a Sonya Shadowdancer + Violet Illusionist mill rogue. I like Illusionists, because they create fictions we believe are real. Illusionists are a sleeper of this block, which would be amazing to see utilized in Warlock, or a Wild Priest... and I am curious how else.

Sometimes you are able to juggle Gadgetzan Ferryman with a Shadow Reflection, and that feels amazing and stupid. Mostly, you use Gadgetzan Ferryman in conjunction with Shadowcaster or Zola the Gorgon. In earlier blocks my attempted strategy was to create 1/1 copies of Coldlight Oracle and return them at full cost to my hand, but I've matured since then. Now, I like to juggle, and I like to remember... the time... when... Captain America... fought a space gorgon... when he joined the Avengers in the sixties.

The basic rules of Sap and Vanish apply. Practice caution in their use and you should be able to remove antagonistic minions.

What is really fun... is using your Counterfeit Coins to summon Valeera the Hollow early, or, if you are on curve, you can... double coin... on turn nine. Amazing.

Mill rogues don't build walls! Mill rogues... as much as I resent the implication... Mill Rogues are mean! We play with an evil Nat Pagle! We are running away from our shadows! We worship Valeera the Hollow! If you're gonna play mill rogue... it turns out... you play with sharp objects. Like a 2/4 which proc's fifty percent of the time. or maybe it's opposite day...
