Hello! I wanted to share this list with you cause is the one that got me to legend for the first time. Propably is similar to many others (maybe even the same and I apologize for that).
So I started with this deck at rank 5 and got to rank 2 then dropped to rank 3 and then I went with a 12 win streak to legend. I don't have this last part tracked unfortunately cause i couldn't play from my PC, but, believe it or not, that happened.
And this is the highest legend rank I got with the deck, after a few games! Would have played more but season ended :/
Thank you everybody for all the feedbacks :)
Any replacements for skull?
If you want to have Doomguard and more general the Cubelock archetype,I think you really need the skull sadly :c if you can't afford it you can play a different control warlock without cubes and dooguards but with N'zoth and some other cards
Can this deck — and Cubelock in general, I guess — be played without Skull of the Man'ari? I'm still missing more than just that, but if I craft everything I need except the skull, it'll only cost me about 2000 dust, which isn't too bad... I can't figure out if it's a "win-more/snowball" card for this deck type, or if it's a key component.
Uhm well, I think if you wanna playDoomguard you need the skull, you don't really wanna play it from your hand and discard a couple of cards! So if you wanna go with Cubelock i think you actually need it, yes! But you can also play other control Warlocks which don't require it. With N'zoth and no cubes, and maybe the Skullking geist
you can play it in wild with Voidcaller but the skull is really needed here
Why doomsayer ?
It's another good way to board clear, especially early on! It either tanks you 7 damage and then you can maybe play coin + Hellfire, or it clears you the board and gives you a bit of tempo! It can be good also later when you have taunts to protect it and it can clear you the board turn 9 for a gul'dan turn 10! I really found it useful :)
Sounds good! I'll give it a try, thanks!
How important is Carnivorous Cube? Lol just joking. This deck is really good and actually fun to play in my opinion, thanks for sharing.
Lol, thank you for the feedback :)
I like this deck. Should I dust Prince Taldaram for a Mountain Giant? I rarely see myself copying cubes with Taldaram and Faceless Manipulator seems better if you want to copy good enemy minions.
Well I agree with you, I don't think Prince Taldaram is a must have and yes Faceless Manipulator can often be used to copy an enemy minion, or even a Voidlord that gets mind controlled and it seemed better to me too. Imho just wait for the nerfs and dust a Corridor Creeper! Maybe there will be better use of the prince in the future, who knows!
If I were you, I would not dust Prince Taldaram. It is a viable legend card, that may see more use in the next year of standard. Faceless Manipulator is a good classic card, but it only appears from time to time in the meta. In my opinion, it is quite specific to only combo style decks. :)
I suck so I cannot climb, but i really like this deck!
lol
How necessary is mountain giant? Is the deck so slow that he is a must have, or can I get away with some other card?
I found them really useful! Let's say you have a bad starting hand, with maybe 1 or 2 Voidlord in hand and no skull! You can actually drop an 8/8 for 4 mana that puts a lot of pressure. If by any chance you also have Carnivorous Cube and Dark Pact you can trade some big minion and spawn 2 8/8 which is huge tempo! I found that really useful, mostly to burst some Razakus decks before turn 8 when not having any Doomguard + Skull of the Man'ari.
Probably the giant is not a must have, but I really liked it and it really helped me in some situations! It was never a dead card in my hand. Even copying it with Faceless Manipulator was a good idea a lot of times! I guess you could replace it with something like Prince Taldaram and maybe another Faceless Manipulator. I just liked giants more! You have to think that not many decks run big removals, beside Vilespine. Even warlocks barely play nether or single target removals like syphon.
Jeez that's a long answer! D:
Giving it a try at rank 3. so far it won me an easy first game against aggro pally
Thanks for your feedback, and glad to hear you won ^^
