Mulligan
Against Control Decks(Priest, Druid and Warlock):
Arcanologist , Primordial Glyph and Arcane Intellect
Against Aggro Decks(Paladin, Hunter, Rogue and Shaman):
Doomsayer, Arcanologist and Frost Nova
Note: Some classes can be both control or aggro. Because of that unknown situation, Doomsayer and Arcanologist are the safest choices for the mulligan.
Card Explanations
Arcane Artificer is very good against aggro decks. To use it properly, first you should played your Ice Block and then you can use your Blizzard with Arcane Artificer to remove the board and gain armor to survive enough to make your combo. Besides, you need to consider your mana curve for spells to maximize armor gaining.
Doomsayer is effective at early and late game. You don't need to play it with Freeze spells; sometimes naked doomsayer can clear the board, If the opponent has no answer to deal 7 damage. However, Frost Nova+Doomsayer combo is a strong board clear so you can save it in your hand(If there is no big threat on board).
Before you play Arcane Intellect, you should play Arcanologist to draw Ice Block immediately. If you play Arcane Intellect first and draw Ice Block, then you can't use the effect of Arcanologist.
The main reason to use Zola the Gorgon is making a second Arcane Giant. Furthermore, you can use Zola the Gorgon to make second Arcane Artificer for gaining armor or Babbling Book to search for spells to complete quest.
Ghastly Conjurer can help you to complete quest and at the same time can protect you from direct damage with 0/2 taunts. Moreover, you should play your board clear first then play Ghastly Conjurer.
Alexstrasza is the core card for your combo. Besides you can use it to make your health 15 to save your life. The combo is playing two Arcane Giant and Time Warp to refresh your turn then using Alexstrasza for making the opponent life 15, finally go face with giants to finish the opponent.
Replacements
For Primordial Glyph: Novice Engineer
For Zola the Gorgon: Simulacrum

instaloses to cubelock, one voidlord= no win
As a main Exodia Mage player I'm going to tell you my opinion of this deck.
I still preffer Exodia Mage but it has pros and cons. The combo of this deck (giant mage) is easier to pull off, you only need 3 cards which gives you more space for removal like Dragon's Fury and in some way you have more cards to complete the quest like double Babbling Book and [card]Ghastly Conjurer[/card].
However you have a serious problem against warlocks and control driuds, the first one beacuse of Voidlord taunts which will block your giants, and the second because they are the new control warrior with tons of armor that no matter Alexstrasza you would need 4 copies of giants to have a chance (and driuds also have taunts).
Finally I recomend removing [card]Skulking Geist[/card] since you don't care about destroying your opponet cards, your objective is to pull your own combo, instead you could add more card draw of like the guide says a Simulacrum
Also I want to point out the inconsistency of Dragon's Fury since you have a wide range of spell cost (from 2 to 6).
You raise good points:
I am playing right now with the deck, will report my findings
It means that since JtU was released I mainly rank with Exodia Mage and consistenly make it to rank 3 (from 15 to avoid aggro decks) and even though it is not legend I don't grind hundreds of games to make it
Kolento made every deck
Kolento did not invent this deck
This is not "Kolento"'s deck. He might have played it, but it's not like he invented it.
Lost 4 times before I managed to pull it off, but once I did it was so satisfying. Hand size seems to be an issue though, one of my losses was to an Exodia Mage because they were running coldlights for some reason and milled my Alexstraza. I had my quest complete and 3 free giants in hand while he was still at 2/6 on quest so without the mill I could have dealt with at least 2-3 ice blocks before he was in a position to kill me. Of the other losses one was to aggro, one had 5 Voidlords, and one I couldn't draw Alexstraza. I'll have to test it some more to see if it's actually viable at my rank.
Do you happen to have the Twitch VoD of Kolento playing this?
I dont know his Twitch but Kolento has three videos on his Youtube Channel, so you check it out there.
Thanks
They dont play the deck, they just want to thrash my deck, spread shit on the comment section. I dont mind them anymore
Haven't won yet out of 5 games. Can't seem to get the combo going - need both giants, Alex in hand, and get the time warp going. I seem to always be missing 1 of the pieces and can't stall long enough
downvoted for the clickbait "Unbeatable"

Still Clickbait

i undid my downvote now
just an explanation: imo, many people come to Hearthpwn and are impressed by deck-headlines like "unbeatable" or "+70% winrate" and srsly think, that these winrate happen under any circumstances.
we know, that this is simply not the case, so ...
I definitely had a blast playing this deck on the ladder, and I love the idea of playing a super heavy control deck with the quest in it. Zola is an interesting addition and I never really played with her but she did save me a few time so I quite like the idea behind it.
I made a video showcasing the deck in action which I hope you enjoy!
