yeah this deck started off the expansion as a meme deck, but it really is viable and a lot of fun! I'd guess around 65-70% win rate around rank 4 right now. Has fairly good matchups across the board; warlock is easily the worst but still manageable. Can go many ways with this deck. Deck should be getting more love than it is!
i doubt you can climb with this deck at all vs some classes
I'm realizing that.
It owns priests and rogues nearly 100% of the time. It gets rekt by Warlocks and mages nearly 100% of the time. So it all depends on what you are running into the most. I started at rank 13x2 and after 26 games, I'm right back exactly where I started. Went 12-14 so far with this deck. I kept running into a lot of warlocks and mages.
Warlocks 1-5
Hunter 2-2
Mage 0-4
Druid 1-0
Pally 0-1
Priest 4-1
Rogue 3-1
Warrior 1-1
So I'm playing this deck now... It's extremely fun. I tried it out on unranked... went 6-1... So I thought, "This is nearly unbeatable!"... So I tried it in ranked... At Rank 13, I'm 5-10 :/
It's still a lot of fun though, maybe I just need to get better at it.
I've been working with this deck a lot recently and I think it's more viable than people give it credit for. I swap the misdirect for a snake trap or unleash when facing tons of aggro.
The fact this dude reach such high winrate at legend ranks with this particular list only says - aside from his own competence, of course - how viable Spell Hunter actually is, since it doesn't seems like the best list to be honest.
According to http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/4315-blizzards-off-meta-deck-spotlight, someone played at least 50 games with this at legend.
Although TBH it's unclear whether they climbed ladder with the same deck, or if it was just a fun / experiment thing after they reached legend by some other means.
I'd be astonished if he got past rank 10. Up to 10 I can see it's doable.
how high did you climb with this deck?
