Hi Kohai_
Its really a must play 2 sprints? i feel its kinda excessive
its funny how rng fucks with me - i take millbane and here you are, my aggroboys. I take this deck with unstable ghouls - here we go, exodia mages, big priest, etc
Good deck btw, but 1 leeching poison is enough
Damn i luv dis deck. Moar rogue decks pls ^^
any replacement for doomerang?
One game in and I definitely have to say that I'm a fan. I like the consistency in building up a huge weapon. I tried that in more aggressive versions, in miracle, and in mill and I have to say that this seems like the best setup for it. I've always loved Prep + Sprint but haven't found a way to make it fit in most of my decks.
After a few more games, I've been a bit frustrated in my lack of landing oil on minions. I would say that at least 50% of the time I just use oil as a weapon buff which seems a bit inefficient. I wonder if it's worth replacing a copy with a Squidface?
Southsea Squidface is clearly worse than Tinker's Sharpsword Oil as a buff tool (takes silence effects, doesn't bring you the buff the turn you play it, weaker buff and you can't use Preparation with it, so I would'nt think it's a good replacement by any means, although just adding him as a fifth weapon buff could be considered.
In a way, Tar Creeper already helps proactively creating a somewhat solid board presence that you could gain the ATK buff, although I don't know if it will keep being the best early game card in the long term (since I'm playing Standard for now, Kohai knows best about that ;-)
Anyway, I think having the draw mechanic work perfectly and consistently is the most important thing in term of playing/mulliganing well and in term of future changes if needed. Cause if you can efficiently cycle through the deck every game, you'll both draw enough Leyline Spider to have something to buff, or have enough ways to redraw Kingsbane to make your "Tinker's Sharpsword Oil with no board" plays more affordable in term of tempo and pressure throughout the game.
I used to play 1 Azure Drake before the nerfs. Maybe it's worth considering and swapping with, say, the second copy of Leeching Poison or the Vanish. That would make the deck more proactive for sure, which is more my style of gameplay (although I assume Kohai designed his post-nerf list to have better outs against Cube and Giant Warlocks which is popular at high rank :)
I agree that Squidface isn't as good at buffing but I find that so often, paying 4 mana for a 3 attack buff is a total waste, even more so when you don't draw your Kingsbane. The deck (post-nerf) doesn't seem to have as many targets as old oil rogue used to have. At least Squidface is a body on the board to help contest. I've found that Vanish has been invaluable to me in numerous matchups to the point that I may even add a second one so I would have a hard time cutting that for a drake. Just my thoughts from playing it a little bit.
Heyo bruh, I like your deck very much, but pirate warriors make me crazy, it is the worst matchup as for me, what can I replace to act them better?
hey man, I literally built this deck and read your little guide on it, and I started at rank 25 and ive gotten to rank 10 with only 2 losses the whole way to rank 10 ! awesome awesome build, the deck has a lot of flexabilty and is certaintly the best and consistent tempo deck ive used on this game yet. and also where it shows your win records and stats , what program are you using because I would like to keep track of mine, thanks.

The most epic game i've played, yet the hardest, deck is amazing, had 10 wins in a row, but yes, rank was 25 xD... Now im 18, heading for that 5 booty
What would you cut for Beneath the Grounds? Considering it because of a huge wave of reno-decks appearing while laddering...
Hi Kohai_
when playing against agro decks like agro druid, paladin or pirates do you value out racing them to face or try to control the board for the early game. If you do value contesting the board when do you shift all resources to face?
great deck, ty
Any advice when up against Renolock or Renomage? I usually found myself missing a bit of damage to finish them off before Reno/Jaina comes out
Thanks for an awesome deck, as always. Oil rogue is probably my favorite deck to play, however I'm a pretty bad deck builder. It's always great to see Kohai cook up something amazing!
you think about doomerang? provide dmg (prob heal) w/o face contact and restore weapon
Kohai is the guy who makes literally every oil rogue list
Is there a possibility of making this playable in Standard format or is Tinker's Sharpsword Oil the whole reason this deck works? I understand having Fal'dorei Striders in the deck make Preparation and Sprint become very valuable. I've wanted to make a viable Kingsbane deck since I saw it released and I really haven't found one or come up with one that makes it great. Just curious about your take on Standard format.
I've been playing Standard Kingsbane from the beginning and up to rank 3 with some mild dedication; you can check this list that was my most explained and developped list during the first season, althought it's pretty differrent from Kohai's Wild Build here. I'm taking some time atm to test new builds based on Kohai's new styles of Kingsbane Oil decks (including Leeching Poison) and will update the list when I finally end up with something that can be seriously shared.

But yeah, if you want to adapt this list to Standard, start by just replacing Tinker's Sharpsword Oil with Southsea Squidface. Doens't bring as much burst as Oil of coure, but it's a solid 4/4 to drop before you starg getting those Leyline Spiders, sometimes summon Patches btw, and still lets go get your Kingsbane up to 9 ATK if it doesn't get Silenced (which probable will never happen against Druids since they rather keep their Spellbreaker [/card]for [card]Edwin VanCleef ;)
