I post decks more frequently on twitter: https://twitter.com/KohaiHS
i needed to open some space for minstrel draws, when you draw another minstrel and a recruiter its pretty much a slap in the face while you need a shinyfinder. also as therabbitone pointed out, i sometimes use it with prep especially on earlier turns, not always but its a good option to have
edit: was meant to reply but couldnt delete the message, sorry :)
i added 2xGang Up + 1xSprint instead of Evasion and Doomerang, worked like a charm
My previous version of KB deck had 2xLab Recruiter with 1xBackstab and 1xPreparation but after reading the comment section its better now
why would you put gang up instead of lab recruiter? recruiter leaves a body behind...
i guess the only reason is that you can't preparation + lab recruiter but it's do-able on prep+gangup
I played a while now with lab recruiter. Can't say whether it's better or worse, but there are a lot of things different.
Recruiter: if you want to fish for minstrel or shinyfinder, this minion is in the way. then you can only use it on own minions (usually you also don't want the enemy's, though).
Often it's a dead card like gang up: if there is no good target on the board. In those cases you can't even play it as a vanilla 3/2, because e.g. another minstrel in your deck would be terrible
so the extra body does indeed not count for much, except when you're up against aggro and even a 3/2 feels better than nothing.
the fact that it can be tutored with minstrel/piper is sometimes good and sometimes bad. most of the time the recruiter was not doing very much, though. having 1 might be fine, having two is, in my feeling, too much.
Hi Kohai_ I'm your fan
Why don't you modify your rogue decks after March 4th?
Just because there are too many decks?
Do you think Togwaggle could work in this?
genial deck, gracias Kohai! oss
Awesome deck! I’ve used like 4-5 of your decks, and this one of he best :)
Any room for Captain Greenskin?
Any mulligan advice? I enjoy this deck but feel like I get stuck with bad hands a lot because I make bad mulligan choices.
I have the same problem...
I'm stuck at rank 13 with this deck. Can't climb against countless aggro paladins. What can I change in the deck without crippling its control matchups too much?
maybe -1x Sap -1x Goblin, +2x Fan of Knives
After changing this into a mill deck I've seem to have lost 80% more of my games, even in matches were mill should be good. It seems like there isn't enough cycle to support the Coldlight Oracle and Elven Minstrel because you can't draw either consistently when you need them. It doesn't seem to win against control more than the old kingsbane list and I have to think that's due to a distinct lack of Gang Up, And even in a tournament setting I still wonder about what success the deck would have considering evasion is in the list, my only guess is avoiding otks.
Ah. This makes a lot more sense. I guess there's also a good chance I'm just not having great luck with the deck, as well as not being overly familiar with mill as a whole. May I recommend posting the old list as a separate deck though? Also sorry if that last comment came off as rude.
never ever thought abuot not playing Gang Up with Coldlight Oracle but i get the idea.
Yeah this was the base combo behind classic mill rogue.
This is way late, but there's a Revision History button up there to see the changes he didn't type up.
Any chance for a mulligan/matchup guide, or even just tips for matches? I like the deck though, getting a weapon up to 14 attack feels so good.
