Hey everyone,
With a new season here, and some pretty significant changes, I have updated this list for the current meta. With the nerfs, there has been a rise in Control warlocks, Secret mages, and Murloc Paladins.
With cards like Corridor Creeper and Patches the Pirate being nerfed, a lot of the decks that used to give combo priest a hard time are no longer around (tempo rogue & zoo mostly - although zoo is still present, I feel it isn't as strong as it was with the creeper/pirates/prince keleseth package) which means this deck archetype is very strong right now.
The only decks that give it a tough time are murloc paladin, big spell mage (iceblock + geist), and control lock (somewhat). However, having Crazed Alchemist helps you still have a win condition when you do get hit by Skulking Geist .
if you are facing a lot of dude paladins/murlocs, I would recommend swapping out Crazed Alchemist for Wild Pyromancer
If you are facing a lot of ctrl locks and big spell mages you can swap out Book Wyrm for Lyra the Sunshard
Also, depending on how many warlocks you are facing, you can swap the single Silence for Mass Dispel
Matchups:
Easy
jade druid, secret mage, spell hunter, cube lock, kingsbane rogue/miracle rogue
Medium
Aggro druid, new zoo lock, spiteful priest
Difficult
Murloc paladin, Big spell mage, Control lock
At +50 upvotes I will make a full detailed mulligan guide +stats
At +100 I will make a youtube video with specific matchup requests
Lovely deck

Can I play this deck without Netherspites? As a f2p player, I don't have Karazhan so can I have any replacement suggestions plz.
unfortunately, netherspite is a key card in this deck and cannot be replaced. It generates a lot of value (finding additional dragons such as duskbreaker) and no other card can really duplicate it's effect in the deck :(
Also, netherspite is rotating out in the next expansion anyway
расскажи что в стартовую руку ищешь?
Try with Novice Engineer for a more consistent way to get the combo or Wild Pyromancer to counter aggro decks, so you don't need to generate more Dustbreakers to clear the board.
Netherspites generates a lot of value, but the decks still works in without that card.
Hey, a couple of questions...
1) why did you decide to take out lyra?
2) Any chance you could create a basic mulligan guide?
Thanks! I love this deck.
Lyra is too slow in most matchups, however, she is incredibly strong vs big spell mages and warlocks if you are facing a lot of them, in most cases though she is not necessary
Great to hear that man :) if you ever need any tips on other match ups, feel free to stop by the stream and ill be glad to help.
and yea youre right, it’s definitely a fairly high skill cap deck- but that’s what makes it fun
Looks good bro
Hey! Got Lyra from the championship pack and decided to try it out.
It is super strong, so I have decided to craft cards for it!
Craft Shadow Visions, Dragonfire Potion or Twilight Acolyte for it?
Also missing Netherspite Historians, any tips on changing them?
I changed my list a bit and still have to edit it, I am no longer running Dragonfire potion, but twilight acolyte and shadow visions are must have cards. (they are core). You can get away with just running 1 acolyte, however.
do you need lyra? i dont have enough to craft her?
although lyra can definitely provide a lot of value, she is not 100% necessary, and you can still do well if you have the core cards. You can replace her with maybe Kabal Songstealer, or a Cobalt scalebane
awesome haha. good to see you're enjoying. I actually updated my list and will post it again here later. Currently still top 50 with it :)
Do you ever play Netherspite without a dragon in your hand against aggro?
vs aggro generally if Im going first I look for northshire > netherspite (preferably with duskbreaker in hand) and maybe kabal talon priest, or northshire > radiant/power word shield.
going second I would keep 1 potion, radiant ele(power shield if I have radiant) and duskbreaker, usually. This is just a general mull but it varies on the class.
Glad you’re enjoying it man 👍🏽 Thanks for posting the pic
How do you feel about all of these Kingsbane rogues? Worth rolling an ooze for it?
I don’t think ooze is worth it at all. it will be useless in a lot of your matchups (druid/priest). In general Kingsbane rogue is a very easy matchup usually, you just have to make sure you get some early minions on board and dig for combo to OTK them. They run doomsayers usually as well which can be used against them (potion + double divine and inner). Also, try to pay attention to your size hand as they run the coldlight oracles. If they burn one of your divine spirits you are in a bit of trouble.
