Hi Everyone,

Please find my take on a mid-range control druid.

The aim of the game is to control the board as much as possible.

Having built up a board slowly but surely, the opponent will run out of removal and minions just as you are building up your removal and minions; so the deck works by counter-acting whichever archetype one is facing.

I've played a lot of Hearthstone since Beta, and one thing that I've found is that it is difficult to pick a deck that performs well against all archetypes. For instance: aggro works until drawn up against a priest 5 times in a row, midrange works but gets stomped on constantly by Hunter, and control decks are good until they are drawn against heavier control decks.

Druid is very versatile in what it can do, but it is weakened as well as strengthened by this attribute. It is therefore best to make a steady progression, in the Druid archetype, until the opponent runs out of the means to deal with the constant pressure that a druid is capable of maintaining.

The deck works like so:

Taunt minions:

Wax Elemental, Infested Tauren, Dark Arakkoa, and The Lich King are all cards that are sticky, bulky, or multi-purpose. Using these heavy cards ensures that, if Hadronox is needed, there are just enough minions remaining to ensure board control and enough free space and mana on one's turn to keep pressure on the opponent.

Deathrattle Minions:

Aya Blackpaw, Cairne Bloodhoof, and the above mentioned deathrattles, are deathrattles that all leave a presence on board; requiring some level of board control and again keeping up pressure. Fatespinner is a versatile card that can increase a board lead or stop oncoming pressure from the opponent. Combined, a healthy N'Zoth, the Corruptor, will almost always ensure future board control; especially as silenced deathrattles will reappear with N'zoth's battlecry.

The rest:
Jade cards, C'thun cards, Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, Fandral Staghelm, Malfurion the Pestilent: these are all cards that have a purpose of gaining and maintaining pressure and board control. It ensures that this Druid has the ability to keep up with early aggro and not to fall behind with heavy control. Wins come from board pressure, where the opponent simply cannot handle the amount of minions on board.

The results so far:

So far, this deck is certainly above a 50% win-rate. It will only lose most of the time against Heavy Priest and some very fast aggro decks.
Though this deck has no draw {except from Wild Growth and Wrath}, it is versatile enough be able to keep cards in hand and allow for strategy with these cards and top-decks. I will say that this is a very good deck and that if I am mistaken in this your comments will be very useful to me.

Good luck in your Hearthstone adventures, I hope you enjoy the deck, and good luck; have fun.
