I am Kasai and this is my second F2P deck of the new expansion. Brace yourself, free to play elemental mage is coming.

Deck intro

Well to be honest i have had prepared something different for you but it was Wednesday and I was preparing few decks for tournament and one of them was elemental mage. Suprisingly I found out it works even on ladder, except for super fast aggro like Aggroladin, or combo decks like Highlander Priest. Obviously I was using few legendaries - Frost Lich Jaina, Pyros and Baron Geddon to be specific (feel free to add them here if you have any of them). But then I've looked on cards and noticed that it was actually Ruby Spellstone and Leyline Manipulator who brought me the most interesting plays. And this was a moment when I decided to build up a F2P Elemage ladies and gentlemen. Note that I have tested it on Legend Rank and trust me, last month Legend is the weirdest place in Hearthstone. Everybody is trying random stuff because rank doesn't matter at all in December. However I am pretty confident with this deck against many Aggro and against literally any Midrange usually played.

Gameplan

Simple. Control board with your elementals while buffing your Spellstone. When you have got it upgraded at max play it, but if possible save the cards it drops. Do the same with other Spellstone, Shimmering Tempest guys and Servant of Kalimos and when your hand is full of RNG stuff just go double Leyline Manipulator and go nuts on your opponent. Obviously when you are not controling the board just use whatever you need in certain situation or just cast not maxed Spellstone if you are really in troubles.

General Muligan

Fire Fly and Mana Wyrm should be your priority. Fire Fly is great in controlling the board very early and Mana Wyrm is just soft taunt. Ruby Spellstone, always keep it even if you have no early drop and pray to RNG god to draw one untill turn 3. Arcanologist is a must to keep like in every single mage deck. It is a draw card which you can play next turn basically, one of the best and most versatile 2-drops in game. Frostbolt is fine if you have 1 or 2 drop already. Shimmering Tempest is ok if you don't have Arcanologist or if you have Spellstone. Rest is meh if you are not super certain about your opponent's deck.

Q&A

Q: With what to replace Frost Lich Jaina, Pyros and Baron Geddon?
A: +1 Pyros -1 Shimmering Tempest
(Note that Leyline Manipulator discounts Pyros's tokens)
+1 Frost Lich Jaina -1 Bonemare
+1 Baron Geddon -1 Servant of Kalimos (Only if you have Jaina obviously. Baron doesn't make much sense otherwise)

Q: What about Primordial Glyph?
A: +2 Primordial Glyph -1 Shimmering Tempest, -1 Frostbolt

Q: Is Aluneth viable in this deck?
A: Aluneth would kill you with fatigue sooner than your enemy. It's only viable for kind of archetypes where you can vomit whole hand right on the board and/or opponent's face. This is not a case.
