It's defile 2.0 in late game.
Shadowfang Keep was in Silverpine Forest not in Duskwood. GREAT GREAT card though. Gonna love it.
Gilneas-city is in Gilneas. It's not about Duskwood, it's about woods with witches and wolves and phantoms and all that other stuff you'd also see in Tol Barad/Duskwood/Gilneas/Silverpine Forest/Darkshore/Ghostlands/Tirisfall Glades/Dustwallow Marsh etc.
I think I can hear a faint crying of dude paladins... do you hear it guys?
yeah most likely because of the defile thing, but also because giving every class an easy to use and powerful board clear would be too broken and rouge isn't really a class that should have really board clears like this they arent to much about control decks so it would be a little bit of a waste maybe. so either it would be a second DR. boom for control or it would be a card that would almost never see play because it is in a class that cant support it too well.
yeah but there are other cards that dont fit too well aswell like maybe voljin and Anub'arak
this character was a rogue/hunter in WoW. His main shpeal was that he used guns, which warlocks would never use. Why give him to warlock?????? And why does warlock need another freaking tempo rich, amazing board clear??? And so sick that it's legendary too.... Now even less people will play unique decks on ladder, because they disenchant all of their cool cards in order to craft cube lock.
Oh yeah and they made sure to NOT make him a demon so he doesn't ruin any synergy for the 5 mana recruit demon guy, or the skull.....
they maybe think more about the gameplay, mechanics and what class can support a card. if they give a card to a class that cant support then its just a waste. look at morobi he would have been a lot better in mage maybe but he doesn't the lore of a mage. if they had given this card the same treatment it would maybe have been a second morobi and would you really want that to happen? another legendary that just says dust me? and don't worry about cubelock ben brode have said that they have cubelock on the nerf radar so it will be nerfed soon most likely be nerfed soon and then you will see your unique decks again maybe.
Every class in the game would consider running this card. Especially hunter and rogue, which he fits thematically way better. And I really hope they don't just nerf it like they "nerfed" jade druid. That deck is literally worse than jade druid AND raza priest were in KoFT. I see streamers play it and play vs it, and it almost always wins. I've never seen one lose in a tournament, except for the mirror. Not to mention that I face it like every other game, and it has no counters. If you manage to beat a cube warlock, then you got extremely lucky. Its the most uninteractive deck there's ever been.
My guess is that they're going to "nerf" it by making one card in it cost 1 more mana, and they'll also nerf a couple of cards in other classes. People LOVE control warlock decks for some reason, so they never nerf them. Everyone whines about 4 mana 7 7 in shaman, but warlock has been using a 4 mana 8 8 WITHOUT OVERLOAD since beta and no one ever complains about it.
This card is in warlock cards . not neutral cards
Not only defile, it is the only odd board clear at the moment.
No Hellfire Felfire Potion Twisting Nether DOOM!
Spreading Madness is not really an alternative.
Wow. a stronger Defile with a 4/4 body attached. seems pretty good.
Fantastic card but I prefer the Fullas's Godfrey edition. more creativity probably. What do you think?
Great against Bittertide Hydra I guess
It's a 7 mana 4/4 and the battlecry might not even do more than deal 2 damage to all minions
which is very good even when it's only 2. Vulcanic potion is out so the closest, cheaper AOE for 2 dmg is consecration. (cost 4).
So you pay 3 mana for 4/4 body even when battecry trigger once, if trigger twice or more, it is insane.
Okey sure it also dmg your own minions but in case of warlock i don't think it's gonna be problem. you usually play removals when your side of board is empty because if you have board, it's probably voidlord or 2.
"might" yes but it is kinda easy to use if we compare it to defile which is a pretty decent if not good card.
How does it work in wild with Brann Bronzebeard?
Does it start triggering twice when the first time does not kill anymore anything, or does it just trigger twice everytime it kills something?
I'm assuming it would deal 2, if nothing dies then Brann will trigger, then it will deal 2 again. killing Brann which will make it trigger again. So that's at least 6 damage.
If something dies from the first 2 damage then Brann shouldn't work because he'll be dead after the second trigger.
Because of the weird interactions in this game It might do something completely different. We'll have to wait and see to be sure
