Let's be honest here. Both Onyxia AND her Whelps having Rush in addition to her Immunity is a bit too much.

This card is terribly op.

Hm, has anyone else experienced that when all the whelps die, Onyxia not only looses immune but also the ability to attack?! It just sits there on the board, without being able to attack the enemy hero or minions. A bug in (the iPad version of) HS?

EDIT: Tried again and can now see that Onyxia can still attack after it looses immune when the whelps die - it’s just not marked as a possible action (the green outline) - which is a bug.

This is great in Warrior decks where you can use Athletic Studies to discount and/or discover her.

This card is cool. But way overrated. Just wait. Will be the card everyone gives 5 stars and then when they make the overrated youtube videos a few months later they will say it ended up being a 2 or 3 star card at best.

to be fair it'd be a perfect card for Big Warrior, Rush / Immune, but yea no Battlecry stinks and makes it uninteresting. Anyways, Vanndar is a must include if you want to run this Bad boy, but Vanndar in itself needs to be drawn to get the Discount. Not reliable.

why is there a list of whelp cards, I mean she doesnt need it right, she creates her own whelps. Like in case that she is summoned, not played?

Because when all whelps are killed, you still can summon whelps with other cards, keeping Onyxia immune even longer.

No, she does not create her own whelps in the case that she is summoned.
You are thinking of Onyxia the Broodmother.
And even then, it helps players to know which cards synergize with her immunity.

What happens when you give it taunt and you control a whelp?

Immune minions cannot be damaged, further they can’t even be attacked. This acts like stealth and essentially negates the taunt ability.

Definitely going to bring back some sort of wild dragon deck imagine having multiple copies of this with discover 

Wow an 8/8 with rush that trades for 10 mana.  Wasn't warlock pushing out 8/8s on turn 4 half a year ago and giving them windfury the following turn.  Maybe this will see play after rotation.  Maybe they keep the power level going and this never sees play.

Guess this is the Mr. Smite of this set? The one card that looks busted enough to sell the whole thing. Gotta say this mini-expansion looks a bit out of place in current meta, feels like it's made for post-rotation Hearthstone.
