The Darkness
Starts Dormant.
Battlecry: Shuffle 3 Candles
into the enemy deck. When
drawn, this awakens.
Descrizione
I would rather light a single candle than curse the darkness. But I'm willing to do both.

Played about 30 games. Out of those 30 only woke up 2 times. Died next turn lol. Card awakens during opponent turn, but is asleep on yours. So yes I do believe the card is misleading kind of. I crafted a gold one. Big mistake. I have Giest to remove spells, cold lights, all kinds if drawing. You can do mill rogue but not actually mill the opponent. I draw more than opponent. I have card that has ambush and sometimes I have 9 in my deck total because of shadowstep, vanish, and a ferryman. When they're drawn they don't count against card draw. So sometimes i will get three in a row! Also I use the card that gains 1/1 when opponent card draws. Anyway it's not getting me past rank 20. I can win with deck but none of it is because the darkness.
The candle cards should count as opponents draw and possibly take up the 4 mana. Then that alone is worth it!
Otherwise this card is barely an epic. In the 2/30 chance it awakens, you'll either be dead or they'll easily counter it (kill it or just use taunts)
it sucks. biggest disappoiintment since bolf.
This is basically a fatigue warrior card. Forget about the other counters, those are still too unreliable: 4 mana for something you almost never get. But in fatigue warrior, you play it when your opponent is in or near fatigue and all candles will be drawn. Add Dead Man's Hand into the equation and you can summon multiple of these in a game.
depending on their hp, and what Im already holding and the board tsate I would rather they simply took the fatigue damage though. this is one of the most disappoitning cards theyve ever made. considering how easy it is to remove, unlss you use it on fatigue to simply make the game take longer to end and start working toward gold in a new match if you don't let the fatigue damage end it faster. its not a practical card in any way shape or form. a bigger disappointment than bolf.
edit; the poster below did bring it up as a 'reno' counter, which does actually give it a huge potential considering the amount of powerful cards with the type of text in the game these days. and a lot of priests being on ladder currently using kaz/raz. and the locks that may be using their own guy in coming weeks more often.
It's not what you said in terms of fatigue, the candles draw themselves just like Deck of Wonders spells and Ambushes do. I do think it could be a Reno counter, but I'd rather just have beneath the grounds for that if I'm playing rogue. Actually, it could be very valuable as a Reno counter in Wild. I'm still not convinced it's at all necessary in Fatigue Warrior, as in control matches they usually have enough removal until you play 3 or 4 of them, by then one will stick. And at that point, you'd probably win faster with the normal Coldlight / DMH win condition.
I do think you forgot about Dead Man's Hand though. That's why I specifically mentioned it in the context of Warrior.
wow, you know something, I totally forgot about the deck copies thing.
good thinking there, plus one on the reno buster recognition.
Helllllllllo Piloted Sky Golem...
Edit: Oh it starts dormant... So I guess no candles then?
a bigger instant ragequit than when you get a doomsayer out of something lol
its a retarded card ...they have to draw ALL 3 CANDLES ...misleading ass text
Okey, i just made it golden. Looks awesome. Now I'll try to use it against current meta in my pala deck xD
After coming across a millrogue on ladder, i have realized thet you can mill the candles resulting in never being able to res the darkness. The dude milled a candle and was never able to res his darkness. I dont think its not that good in the deck since milling is what you try to do
LMFAo I was probably the rogue you came across if it was day 1 in wild. I instantly killed the process and loaded up star ocean, so if the 'opponent has left' and it was within the first few to 5 hours or so of the packs being unlocked it was a good chance that it was me. I was curious about that, but didn't have the balls to do it, but it happened eventually and I was like okay I'm done and bored with it. And was this close to disenchanting it after isgning back in too, glad I didn't since it Can kill kaz/raz effects with candle dupes.
Can you silence it so it wakes up early?
Ahh shoot. That makes sense.
one of the first things I tried, but i assumed it wouldn't be targetable much like that rezzing plant card. You can't target it to silence it , and if you could, you would simply prevent it from being able to summon since it isn't actually the minion itself but a placeholder ont he board. with a counter similar to that plant card the rogues have.
This totally seems like a bug. So disappointed after crafting it to see one burn up after a cold light. Makes it impossible to trigger.
It's not a bug. It happened with previous cards as well like Ambush! and will continue happening. The text reads "When drawn". This means it will not count as a draw if you discard it.
no it's not a bug, it was something i was curious about before it actually happened to me since you can mill ambushes as well (the new ambush minion with shadowsteps, casts, and the new 3 drop legend to copy it is great btw) which was why I rarely used them since when playing rogue it's nearly always mill or has mill as an option available since it only takes a few key cards especially with dk. you can mill them just like the ambushes as you should be able. it's a card in the enemy's deck, and they have a full hand triggering instant destruction of the draw, and when destroyed it's text isn't triggered. the way I look at it is that is what is supposed to happen. Even if isn't what was intended, it is how it should be handled to avoid making mills a broken mess of an Op troll deck. Consider that the downside of mill, nd it's fair, if you could destroy an enemy's key cards instantly why shouldn't you be able to destroy some of your own if they happen to be in the enemy's deck while trying to burn it.
