Mistermath's Card Ratings for Voyage to the Sunken City:
6/10
Cards like this always have potential, but the player's inability to control which spells are cast and at which targets really sets it back. It needs very specific cards to be printed to support it and make it work.
This could have been a fun card but they had to do ramdon targets :/
Interesting card for wild builds perhaps. I'm thinking playing more board clears than usual and using this 7-Drop as a end-game clear, with one big upside, NO OVERLOAD! Imagine holding a Lightning Storm and a "Don't Stand in the Fire!". Not only can it play both effects for a mana less, but it also prevents overload, and allows use to use your resources again. This goes the same for holding a copy of Healing Rain per-say. Let alone holding frost spells, etc... I say 4/10 for now but I think there's some potential jank madness going on here,
If it works like Swampqueen Hagatha's Drustvar Horror you will overload yourself. Which i think it will be the case. Worse part is, it won't count towards quest. Again, if it is the same mechanic.
I am also sure School Teacher's Nagaling will overload without quest credit aswell.
I can't see this card having any value in standard. Most of the spells are lower cost and need to be targeted. There are very few that could be potentially beneficial unless they add two or three big spells. Where are the overload cards or discover cards? Shaman is going to be in a sad state. I guess the silver lining is that they aren't trying to push the foul smelling Murloc archetype. (All other shaman releases will be murlocs now).
This is my concern also,so far only a couple good shaman cards and how good they are depends on what the last few reveals are.Like PukeChicken says:Shaman needs some more big spells.
What a great epic card! It allows you to kill yourself,or freeze or kill your own minions....
