He's should see more play in constructed, although he's a sitting dummy for Shadow word death
so what? every high cost card can be silenced, hit with Shadow word death, or BGH etc... it's a risk...
I agree, but the reason why this card is not viable and in general not 'good' is because good cards give you value even if they are removed with removal. E.g: Dr. Boom gives 2 Boom Bots, Ragnaros deals 8 damage, Alexstraza lets you change a hero's HP.
The cards I mentioned are just as expensive as Gruul, but they give an effect when played, unlike Gruul which might as well be a waste of mana when cleared using removal.
I got him from an unstable portal and he gets scary really fast. I think he mostly doesn't see play because he's a legendary and there are more essential ones to craft.
He doesn't see play because he sucks. Hes a Big Game Hunter target and he grows at a snails pace for the price.

Gruul useless card in this meta. Everybody is playling Big Game Hunter because of Dr. Boom, which is played in most of decks too. This is problem of the most of high-cost legendary minions with passive (etc. Deathwing or Foe Reaper 4000), without any battlecry/deathrattle effect can Big Game Hunter or other clearing cards (etc. Polymorph or Hex) get sooo much value from it.
If you have enough big threats to exhaust your oppos removal .. Gruul could be a finisher. It still demands an immediate response because the card can get out of hand quick.
ragnaros is RNG based ... dealing 8 damage to a random enemy , while this guy can get scary so fast ( his 1+/1+ stacks so , if it stacks severeal times its gg to your opponet if they dont have any removals)
He seems great on paper, but in practice, he just never seems to work out for my opponent. Generally, he just gets Shadow Word:Deathed, or killed some other way. He's never lasted more than 2 turns in my experience.
My first legendary and although I do not use, I lack the courage to disenchant.
Play this and then stealth it lol
