Posted Jul 20, 2022 (Castle Nathria Pre-Patch)Single Lightbomb for 1, not bad really. Compare with simple Holy Smite....most of the time you're going to deal 3 or more damage, and when you deal less than 3 damage it may also kill the minion, so this is better almost all the time.

It's always been hard to run Death because it may be stuck in your hand, but this will almost always find a target. Crucially this gives Priest a way to swing tempo in the late game, instead of just making even trades with expensive boardclears.
