Oh I didn't mean to belittle the deck, I think it's amazing. 100% my type of deck, but I just meant that it's somewhat nonexistent on ladder right now
I don't get the hype with this card. Let me explain:
If you go first and play this at 6 mana, you basically play a 6 mana 5/5 and lose a mana crystal, it does nothing to your opponent.
If you go first and play this above 6+x mana, you slow your opponent by x turns and slow yourself by x+1 turns.
If you go second and play this at 6 mana, you basically slowed the game by 1 turn and played a 6 mana 5/5.
If you go second and play this above 6+x mana, you slow the game by x+1 turns.
Note that for all cases you made the game as if your opponent went first and you went second. If you play this card below 10 mana in a game you went first, you just lose an extra mana crystal, so it is a terrible card in half of the games. The only notable effect happens when you reach 10 mana but then again you are just delaying the game by few turns. Delaying the game is only good in combo decks or in control decks where you try to gather some removals. But then again those decks are the ones who wins by reaching 10 mana. All in all in my opinion this card is trash unless there comes a strong interaction with another card which I highly doubt.
You forgot countering druid's ramp... That is about all it is good for.
Yes it counters druid's ramp but druid either plays token or combo. I assume you suggest that this counters combo. Against combo you just delay their win by few turns if you dont to anything more about their combo. The real counter to druid's combo is hand manipulation cards such as Dirty Rat. I see this card as Loatheb in terms of what he does, but he also harms you unlike Loatheb.
1. Completely shits on druid. They ramp with wild growth and nourish and on turn 6, BAM. Both players are reset to 5 mana crystals and druid have to wait 4 more turns to UI (HUGE fning deal). Also, strong wincondition against hadronox/malygos combos, both of which can now be pushed away a couple of turns, long enough to put his health to 0.
2. Rip Mecha'thun decks and any variations of it. Even if only 3% of the meta was mechathun decks (Druid, Priest, Warlock), simply having this card in your deck gives you 100% winrate (unless you make a mistake and play it early of course).
3. Shudderwock and any other late-game win-conditions like Jaina? Can be played around much better. Doesnt mean youll necessarily win the game, but preventing the Jaina from coming down on turn 9 is HUGE.
4. Any potential future OTK combos? Well, what most OTK combos need is Mana. Usually, these decks are designed to cycle into their combo, which takes up multiple cards in their hand and 9-10 mana. Well, that can ALSO be played around now, and those otk decks have a very hard time with survival when they cant play their combo to win.
Conclusion: Only shitty matchup this card has is aggro, where its practically useless. But every single non-odd control deck out there will play this card, as it gives you significantly better winrates against many different decks and flat-out wins games against certain archetypes. This card is meta-defining!
I mean does it actually hurt yourself tho. What i realized that it might actually keep you crystals full and playing a 4 drop alnogside it while you opponent has only a 6 mana turn can be a decent tempo swing...
I doesnt work like that in action. Not recomended but you can even play this card in agroo/midrange you can fill the board @8+ mana and play this deny opponent to play big removals + minions, combos etc.
Works against every otk deck or DK turns
Basicly if you have board and play this you instantly win.
The minion's name is actually Mojomaster Zihi.
<header class="entry-header full-span">Can we get a fucking Kingsbane counter card already????? Time for a new Ooze:
6 mana 7/3 battlecry: Silence and Destroy your opponents weapon.
Control meta rn:
i don't even wanna know what she's chugging there....
Glad I didn't jump on the Druid hypetrain in Boomsday cuz they're probably gonna be dry fisted next expansion.
I think this card will be used against Shudderwock, Aviana and Kun the Forgotten King combos ( Malygos, King Togwaggle ) and even some powerful late game cards like Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Frost Lich Jaina, maybe even some other "not so popular combos" like Archmage Antonidas and probably rest in peace C'Thun for the ones who still like to play it.
This card is busted. It single-handedly makes aggro decks even better this expansion (even if there is more hate for them as well). It's not like Druid is on top anymore or anything, but Druid won't be on top this expansion, that's for sure. Even taking a few mana crystals away from Even Warlock or some other mana-hungry class is going to be devastating as they try to stabilize with their bigger spells. Screw you Psychic Scream - you can wait a few more turns. Thank the Loas Blizzard didn't print this at 5 mana or we'd see Odd Paladin and Odd Rogue decks at the top for another 4-5 months.
Yes you can play this in an agro deck and mess with control decks ,but to be effective you need to wait till turn 7, if your going first 8 you basicly give your opponent a mana crystal advantage ,since youl both get to 5 / 5 and then opponent gets to 6. But your missing the point , This can counter any late game turn combos like mechathun, malygoss,SHUDDERWOCK,exodia mage anything that requires the 9-10 mana .And yeah thers also ramp druid that gets a huge blow also
Seems good, but you actually can't as you'll have only 4 mana left after playing 2x Surrender to Madness (so not enough to play Fluffy Potion Drinker).
It can however be a good T9, by playing 1 Surrender then Fluffy, to block a potential T9 or T10 for your opponent and give +2/+2 to all your minions in your deck.
Card genial pra decks evens muito bom mesmo ainda mais contra decks combos
A way to slow down druid and maybe make surrender to madness playable all at once. Fancy.
That actually might be run in aggro decks to wreck control. Need to play board clear for 6/7? Nope! Pretty new desgin, might be fresh.
Siick looking card mannn
Can't wait for shiny
look at those colors!
