Turns out this card is really good for priest to protect their buffed minions!

I think this will see more play once Tar Creeper rotates out. Until then I built a deck but only slotting in 1 of these for now.

It's really good, but it's also really....awkward. a bunch of 1/1s isn't exactly threatening and I don't see Priest going tempo/spell hybrid anytime soon.

It's good stalling card, that'S for sure, but is that enough to warrant not only including this, but also spending ressources to activate its effect?

I feel like this falls into the same vein as Heal Paladin. You have a lot of really powerful support cards, but ultimately no win condition and your whole gameplan relies on drawing one specific enabler (Thekal for Paladin, Dragon Soul for this)

Then again, I don't really play Priest, so I'm not entirely sure which shenanigans they can or can't get away with.

I just see this as a cheaper, slightly better version of Violet Teacher. But unless priest gets some token-style decks to complement this card, I have to agree with you that it's kinda hard to evaluate. Can't deny that it's solid at the very least, though. Poor dude just hasn't managed to find a home yet.

Hopefully, Rastakhan will be kind enough to offer him one. Or not. Who knows, the meta is a cruel place.

I was afraid Priest won't get any defense tools this expansion. Well, AOE is better but I guess this will also work.

Stalling tactics? I do not see this as very good but maybe some deck will make it playable. Priest have no way to shuffle cards into their own deck though so buffing tokens with Surrender to Madness won't work.

Well, theoretically speaking you can play Spirit of the Dead and then each dead zombie will enter in your deck so then you can play  Surrender to Madness + Bwonsamdi, the Dead to get your 3/3 taunt zombies... which reminds me of odd Paladin and Level Up!.

Then its better to just play Paladin and level up on 5 ;)

This is basically a slightly cheaper Violet Teacher with a better effect, I like it! Might be used in a more aggressive type of Priest in case that will ever exist. Also, there is some potential to Psychic Scream 1/1s into your opponents deck. So certainly not a super strong card, but might definitely see play in the next year.

If only priest could do something useful with board full of 1/1s...

Yeah, like live for a turn against aggro :D

Wild pyromancer is better for that purpose... I wouldn’t want to waste my precious spells just to get some tiny taunts, clearing board is more impactful against aggro...
