But that does silence it though cause you don't trigger the Deathrattle and lose the eaten minion. Though you save the "stats" when Gral eats a new minion.
It doesn't say 'a random minion'. This has a lot of possibilities, even though the most likely I'd guess would be at random.
They can have it in a discover style too, but the problem lies with how a 17/17 on turn 5 or something of the sort would be possible then, and quite unhealthy for the game.
Perhaps if they do something unique, like make you able to choose the minion, but it has to cost equal to or less than the current turn's number.
Well, until we find out, we'll just know this is good, but how broken or interactive will remain a mystery. Still, leaving my vote on meta defining till further is revealed. With deathrattle trigger effects, you can potentially get several copies of a very potent minion directly delivered to your hand.
That would be too out of control for several reasons. We've had a few deck affecting cards before, so it will likely instead just burn it out of your deck. That said, with things like the rogue weapon that triggers deathrattles on its deathrattle and a few other similar effects, you can potentially get several copies of a very potent minion. That all depends on the selectivity you have over what minion is eaten though, as I feel that it will be a random one, despite them not writing 'random' in its text, though it may be based on discover too or even some new way too, though they'd need to be careful not to allow you to have a 14/14 for 5 on turn 5, so it's really just a lot of maybes for now.
The value here is extremely unfair and broken since anything that you get and puts you above premium stats is already worth it, and if you get Deathwing or dare I say The Darkness, you just got a 14/14 or a 22/22 for 5. If the enemy has no silence or has tanks but you have removal for them, you just win off of that. If, aside from pulling something big and growing absurdly huge, it also triggers some over the top deathrattle, then this card would just need to be removed. That's the main reason as to why I expect it to not pull them and kill them on the field since anything from Sylvannas to the new Hakkar becomes terrifying with this.
So, yeah, rather than simple value, this card will be simply game breaking. Either it becomes big or absurdly huge and if the latter, they either have a silence or t hey lose. This card seems very unhealthy and is probably one of the most worrying for me so far due to what it seemingly can do in a game.
Craft checklist :
OMEGALUL is this you?
Did Blizzard forget that they printed Silence?
I don’t suppose they could change it to “eat an opponents minion gain its stats” at least then It could counter combo decks otherwise you end up with a 5 cost 2 2 and you lose a card if it gets silenced 2 cards if you had the spirit down first very disappointed 😞
seriously like this if you agree maybe blizzard will change it if enough people agree
They won't. They do not print every card with the intention of them being actually good. A lot of them are mediocre at best, and often weak. Blizzard does not care about buffing cards because they dont really care if cards are too weak, they only care when they are too strong.
This plus the spirit totem

If a Mid-Range deck with Keleseth or a like Rogue deck appears, then this will be played, and be part of the reason to run it. But it won't get enough stats in Odd Rogue, and probably not Deathrattle Rogue.
Eatting The Darkness in may opinion:
When Shaman evolve his card or you summon a random (4) cost minion...It summons The Darkness with no stats.
So i think it will be same with eatting
The card says that it gains its stats and I belive it ignores the text on the card, So if it eats The Darkness It will gain its stats.
New mechanic so that's a plus but card doesn't look good on paper. It might be a different story in a deck though.
The fact that this card now exists makes Myra usable.
How so? This Deathrattle on Myra would be usless...
True, but you still put a copy of this in your hand. Also, since Spirit of the Shark is now an option, you can have 2 deathrattles on her, and Gral will eat 2 minions, putting 2 minions back in your hand.
I know the answer but I'm going to ask it anyway. If I cube this, it loses the stats, correct?
Yes
