Too much setup required. Fun archetype just not very competitive IMO.
I wouldn't say that. I tried the Whizbang Warlock deck, got it so he was positioned conveniently for Soul Infusion, got buffs off of Arena Fanatic and Spirit of the Bat, and by Turn 8 I played him as an 8/8 on an empty board. Makes me feel stupid for dusting him - he's a monster Zoolock finisher.
All decks featuring Hir'eek have devastatingly low winrate. He's a meme, and even memes generate 1 win in 4 games or so.
The only way Hir'eek is any good is as a desperation move once your board gets cleared.
Extremely baseline combo with Demon bolt. Has more potential than people realize, might actually be a scarey card.
I guess the devs paid a visit to Mt. Moon...
Potentially broken later if they ever add hand buffs to lock that aren't RNG as hell like Soul Infusion.
But it could make an interesting moment if you got it and Han'cho off a turn everything into legendaries card.
Soul Infusion is not RNG. The only RNG component is your draw, which is inherent in any card game. But like the best parts of Hearthstone, it is manipulable RNG. You just have to tactfully clear your hand until Hir'eek is leftmost. Sure it is still easier sometimes than others, but claiming it is "RNG as hell" is very misleading. If it read "rightmost" it would actually be more RNG, because you cannot control that from one turn to another, as the new card goes there. That's why cards like Stargazer Luna are so high-rolly; you either snowball out of control, or its dead. But even then, the RNG is manipulable because you choose how to build your deck, ie: whether you add more low-cost cards to increase the chance of the effect continuing.
wish i got more super repels at the shop :(
Best flavor text.
Broken in Wild. Use Evolve and you just spent 9 mana for a full board of 9 mana minions. 9 * 7 - 9 = 54 mana value. But who cares anyway we have giants on turn 3 for paladin.
Evolve is a shaman card?
I mean i guess you could evolve into Hir'eek and get it back into your hand with grumble or a panda or something and then do it, but that won't happen often enough to be a menace imo
highrolling soul infusion is probably the only thing that makes this card playable. Might see this in Keleseth zoo.
you don't need to highroll, you just need to get it as the leftmost minion without having to Soul Infusion first.
I feel like holding onto infusion long enough will be the biggest problem.
Thena gain, getting Keleseth early already makes this playable at worst.
Meanwhile, in Wild
Totemic Call + Unstable Evolution
-->Novice Engineer --> Sewer Crawler --> Wicked Skeleton --> Furbolg Mossbinder --> Big-Time Racketeer --> Lynessa Sunsorrow --> Hir'eek, the Bat --> Concede
at that point you'd end up killing yourself
"I'm already Onyxia"
So bad.... I mean, I can imagine a deck running it, for buffing purposes, but it still feels like a dead, slow card
legendary wisp , free dust 4 life
When this show up i will use Dire Frenzy on it
